Even many Obama supporters acknowledge here openly that Obama sent the Feds after him because he referred to his middle name.

What is in a name! Every person has a name given by their parents when they are born. No one can fault a name and condemn a person just because they are named differently. Perhaps, what makes a person great is that his name is different than everyone else. Hussein is a good name and pretty common around the world. If Hussein can provide us leadership, bring our troops back home and end the war in Iraq, bring back investment and jobs to the US and steer our economy back to the right direction, then it will be Hussein I will vote for!

As a previously undecided I think the clincher for me at the debate was Obama’s insurance plan. I believe health insurance is a right for every American.I’m sure my story is a common one. My job didn’t provide health insurance, which was ok with me at the time because I am young and have always been healthy. Stupid way of thinking I know, but I honestly didn’t think I would need insurance yet and the cost prevented me from purchasing it. Well, three years ago at the age of 31 I found a lump in my breast. Luckily it was nothing, but the mammogram, ultrasound and surgery cost over $38,000. When you think you may have cancer having to worry about money and loosing everything you’ve worked for is something no one should have to go through. I’m luckier than most in that I’m able to pay off my medical bills and I now have employer provided health insurance (which I can keep under Obama’s plan), but if the lump turned out to be something more I don’t know what I would have done.I know I would have lost my home. It’s not something I would wish on anyone. Unfortunately the financial mess our country is in will make it difficult for any president to do anything about the cost of health care.

Of that number 232,607 were below 18 years of age, for a total of 644,197 people in Marion County/Indianapolis 18 or over and thus eligible to vote. (Indiana allows felons to vote as long as they are not incarcerated).
So we have 644,197 people eligible to be registered in Marion County/Indianapolis, and 677,401 people registered. Congratulations go to Indianapolis for having 105% of its residents registered!
Across the nation voter registration irregularities are coming to light. Many of these irregularities involving the former employer, ACORN, of one of our Presidential candidates, Barack Obama. Now it comes to light that Obama’s campaign has paid ACORN over $800,000 for “get out the vote” efforts so far this campaign season.

Its amazing as I visit my cabin in the country in N.Ga mountains. This town and others like it in N. Ga have always been heavy republican. Things are changing. Granted that McCain/Palin yard signs the majority openly saying they will vote for McCain, however in my private conversations with friends and locals, even though they openly support McCain, more are telling me that in the voting booth they will vote Obama. This area is almost all white and if you knew this area, you would understand why someone might not openly and publicly say they are supporting Obama. Confederate flags still fly proud here. But what they say and what they will do in the voting booth are two different things. This isnt what one or two told me but many that are closet Obama supporters. For an area I thought would never come out of the dark ages, its good to see people changing in their ideas and priorities and trying to put decisions based on race behind them. Just yesterday over heard a couple of good-ole-boys talking to eachother. One said, “Can you believe me, of all people, will be voting for a black man for President” and the other responded, ” McCain just isnt getting it and that Palin lady just doesnt have a clue.” Just an observation.

Lee County, FL Sheriff Mike Scott may have more to worry about than just the court of public opinion. Federal investigators are now looking into whether Scott broke the law by campaigning for John McCain.
Officials with the U.S. Office of Special Counsel say they have received so many phone calls from the public that they launched an investigation into Sheriff Scott on Tuesday.
The question is – did he use his position as sheriff to influence an election? If so, he could be in violation of a federal election law called the Hatch Act.
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office receives more than $1 million in federal grant money from everything from human trafficking to bullet proof vests.
But if Sheriff Scott is found in violation of the Hatch Act, the feds can pull two years salary worth of federal funding – the equivalent to $300,000 for the Lee County Sheriff’s Office.
Another possibility is removal from office.
Regarding the federal investigation, Sheriff Scott sent us this statement:
“I am on duty 24/7 and 365 whether in or out of uniform. Like every other elected official, I am aware of from President to Governor to State Representatives, etc. We engage in political activities whether for ourselves as candidates or for others. As of this writing, I am unaware of having done anything to generate all this attention other than using the senator’s full name.”
We should also point out that Bill Cameron in Charlotte County and Kevin Rambosk in Collier County were both reassigned to avoid violating the Hatch Act.
Cameron is still under investigation.
As for how long Scott’s investigation will take, the feds say they’d like to have all of the Hatch Act cases wrapped up before the November election.

Over three hundred people attended the first of two Town Meetings on Economic Insecurity on February 25 in Ida Noyes Hall at the University of Chicago. Entitled “Employment and Survival in Urban America”, the meeting was sponsored by the UofC DSA Youth Section, Chicago DSA and University Democrats. The panelists were Toni Preckwinkle, Alderman of Chicago’s 4th Ward; Barack Obama, candidate for the 13th Illinois Senate District; Professor William Julius Wilson, Center for the Study of Urban Inequality at the University of Chicago; Professor Michael Dawson, University of Chicago; and Professor Joseph Schwartz, Temple University and a member of DSA’s National Political Committee.
The Jobs and Living Wage Ordinance (see January – February, 1996, New Ground, page 10) is a more ambitious attempt to require city contractors to pay a minimum living wage. The measure will be formally introduced into the Council in April or May. Alderman Preckwinkle was not optimistic about its prospects although the presence of the Democratic National Convention may provide some opportunities for better leverage.
Barack Obama observed that Martin Luther King’s March on Washington in the 1960s wasn’t simply about civil rights but demanded jobs as well. Now the issue is again coming to the front, but he wished the issue was on the Democratic agenda not just on Buchanan’s.
One of the themes that has emerged in Barack Obama’s campaign is “what does it take to create productive communities”, not just consumptive communities. It is an issue that joins some of the best instincts of the conservatives with the better instincts of the left. He felt the state government has three constructive roles to play.
The first is “human capital development”. By this he meant public education, welfare reform, and a “workforce preparation strategy”. Public education requires equality in funding. It’s not that money is the only solution to public education’s problems but it’s a start toward a solution. The current proposals for welfare reform are intended to eliminate welfare but it’s also true that the status quo is not tenable. A true welfare system would provide for medical care, child care and job training. While Barack Obama did not use this term, it sounded very much like the “social wage” approach used by many social democratic labor parties. By “workforce preparation strategy”, Barack Obama simply meant a coordinated, purposeful program of job training instead of the ad hoc, fragmented approach used by the State of Illinois today.
The state government can also play a role in redistribution, the allocation of wages and jobs. As Barack Obama noted, when someone gets paid $10 million to eliminate 4,000 jobs, the voters in his district know this is an issue of power not economics. The government can use as tools labor law reform, public works and contracts.
Finally, Illinois needs an industrial strategy. How do we create more jobs for everyone? Illinois has no strategy for encouraging high wage, high productivity jobs.

The financial crisis seems to be a conspiracy by certain persons in government wanting to destroy the United States economy. Why else would anyone vote against changing the course of the banks so the banks would NOT go into default? It is easy to point a finger at failing Wall Street and the banks and say they are at fault. What about the persons in government that refused to change things for the better and insisted that things are just fine the way they are?
Everyone is sick and tired of Barack Hussein Obama lying about the financial crisis. President Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton passed banking regulation that forced banks to give people with bad credit real estate mortgages. Banks have traditional required a person to have sufficient funds to help pay a mortgage. A person had to show a bank that they are a responsible person with good future earnings, a bank account that showed regular deposits and credit references that showed on time payments for items purchased with credit. The bank regulations made effective by Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton forbid the use of red-lining. The banks had to give a real estate mortgage to everyone or face a law suit. That is coercion of the worse kind.
President Bush had advisement of the coming problem developing with Freddie and Fannie. Democrats like Barack Hussein Obama and the controlling Democrat congress said there is nothing to concern anyone. The Democrats with Barack Hussein Obama voted NO for any control of Fannie and Freddie or any other banking concerns. Barack Hussein Obama treated the Freddie and Fannie situation as business as usual. The financial crisis is not just due to President Bush and the last eight years. That is a lie and a distortion of the truth created by Barack Hussein Obama.
Barack Hussein Obama had a chance to help head off the financial crisis and did nothing. Now, Barack Hussein Obama says he can fix that which he helped to break. In 1989, Obama interned at Sidney Austin Law firm, Bill Ayers wife, Bernadine Dohrn also worked there. Later Obama worked as assoc. lawyer at Miner and Barnhill law firm. Judson Miner is a close friend of Bill Ayers.

Wood Fund, ABC lobby group, Obama chaired with Ayers at theAnnenberg Challenge, ACORN.
Exelon, where Ayers, dad was CEO has given largest donations to all of Obama’s campaigns.
