Palin to Appear on Saturday Night Live This Weekend
Live from New York, it’s Sarah Palin!
After weeks of being skewered by comedian Tina Fey on NBC’s "Saturday Night Live", Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is scheduled to appear on the program this weekend, ABC News has learned.
Palin will travel to New York on Saturday, and is tentatively scheduled to appear on the sketch comedy program that has parodied the Republican vice presidential nominee in three skits this fall.
It is not clear whether Palin will appear in a live segment with Tina Fey, whose uncanny separated-at-birth impersonation of Palin has drawn rave reviews, including one from Palin herself. Fey, who now produces and stars in the NBC sitcom "30 Rock," had previously served as the head writer of "SNL" and co-anchor of the show’s "Weekend Update."
During a press availability aboard the Palin campaign plane last week, Palin called Fey’s impersonation a "hoot" and said that would "love to" appear on the program to try to give the comedian a taste of her own medicine. Palin says she has dressed up as Fey for Halloween in the past.
"I love her," Palin said of Fey. "She’s a hoot and she’s so talented and it would be fun to either imitate her or keep on giving her more material and keep her in business."
When Palin’s running mate Sen. John McCain was asked by David Letterman during a taping of "The Late Show" on Thursday whether Palin would appear on “SNL,” he said, "I think she is, yes," adding that the appearance "will probably get more of an audience than our debate did," referring to Wednesday night’s final presidential debate between McCain and Sen. Barack Obama.
SNL first parodied Palin in a sketch for the show’s season premiere last month, with Fey playing Palin as part of a joint press conference with Sen. Hillary Clinton, played by the show’s resident Clinton impersonator Amy Poehler. Two weeks later, Poehler changed roles, impersonating Katie Couric interviewing Tina Fey’s Palin in a parody of Palin’s widely-panned interview with the CBS News anchor. And just two weeks ago, the program performed an extended spoof of Palin’s vice presidential debate with Sen. Joe Biden.
Saturday Night Live has been a critical stopping point on the campaign trail. Both Sens. McCain and Obama have made live cameos on the program in the last year. Sen. Clinton also secretly flew to New York in March to appear in a well-received skit alongside Poehler, who played Clinton on the program throughout the Democratic primaries.
Fey has said she will continue the impersonation of Palin until Election Day, but told TV Guide in an interview that she’s "done" with the impersonation if the McCain-Palin ticket wins the election.
"We’re gonna take it week by week," Fey told TV Guide for an upcoming issue. "If she wins, I’m done. I can’t do that for four years. And by ‘I’m done,’ I mean I’m leaving Earth."

Joe the “Contractor”
So tell me what is a untrue American. Is that some type of code word
How do you classify as being a true American. Does your spouse have to be part of a movement for Alaska to succeed from the US to be called a true American.
Do you have to have a witch chaser pray over you to be a true american
Do you have to lie endlessly to be a true american
How about abusing power. is the that the litmus test of being a true american.
How about being folksy without a clue of foreign policy except for the fact that russia is next door to your state.
awesome american she is.

I cannot believe how racist Americans are. No wonder everyone hates Americans. You are the laughing stock of the world, everyone here in England is laughing at your stupidity. We’ve seen the racist bigotry at McCain/Palin rallies and it is beyond reprehensible.

They are just doing it for the ratings! The comment was made by AL, “Not only is Sarah Palin the successful Governor of the LARGEST State in the Union…”. Well, Al, it may be the biggest but it is number 47, yes 47!, in population. Not too many people to govern is there!? She is a flake just like McCain. She uses her disabled child as a political gain. McCain picked her out of spite since Hillary wasnt picked just to try to get chummy with the women in this country. Just because she is a woman doesnt make her qualified and worth all the womens votes. She cant stand up to the tough questions and accusations…why do you think she hasnt been allowed to do a Q&A with the press!?! For crying out loud, she didnt know what the Bush Doctrine is, and shes in politics!!! Couldnt name any publications where she gets her news from, are you serious!!? Oh by-golly, gee, wink wink…take that crap back to Alaska and huddle up in that igloo with your pregnant teen daughter.

JOE; A Marxist Muslim. That’s cute, but stupid. McCain is a desperately cranky old badger, prowling around restlessly, looking for the magic button he can push to make himself worth voting for. Ah, darn, he can’t find it.
Sure, Obama is a left-winger, and he has a different approach on national spending priorities. Bush screwed up this country so bad, it will take some time and money to repair it. If our taxes go up to fix what’s wrong, so be it. No more borrow-and-spend Bush-clones…

I’ve watched SNL since 1979…I am a woman. If Sarah Palins is on SNL this Saturday night, I will absolutely not view the program. I’ve only not watched SNL a few times. The other times I did not watch SNL was when I was giving birth to my 2 sons, and when my mother died. As “Joe the Physician stated, “No one owes this vindictive, dumb, locked-down she-jerk time on their show.” It will be SNL’s loss if she is on the show. Sarah Palin, and the possibility that she might be (if elected), a heartbeat away from being one of the most powerful individuals in the free world is NO JOKE. C’mon people, the U.S. has been through enough negative. We do not need a extremely controlling, unethical female or as for that matter any gender…including Palin’s husband who wants Alaska to be a different country than the U.S.A, in a position to decide whether to use Nuke bombs…for goodness sake, the woman kills defenseless animals from a helicopter. Get a grip America! Why would you want this?
Posted by: jade | October 17, 2008, 12:57 am 12:57 am
It’s a dumb move on Palin’s part…she becomes part of the joke…You can do this when you’ve been on the major news shows, but it looks silly when you avoid any kind of confrontational interview…I’m not sure of any VP candidate who is afraid of journalists, Leno, Letterman, or their own shadow…
Posted by: 1percenter | October 17, 2008, 1:01 am 1:01 am
…and now after watching David Letterman, we realize that John McCain is a hypocrit. He palled around and went to fundraisers and the such, with G Gordon Liddy…that’s right…THE CRIMINAL!!! McCain couldn’t answer the questions and hemmed and hawed and interrupted repeatedly. He is guilty of the exact same thing he and Gov Palin are alleging Obama did.
Letterman incinerated him on national television.

First, this is a political tactic by the McCain campaign to put the bimbo on SNL. She will do anything because she is a pawn and she is trying to get herself more recognition…or any kind. LOL
She’s allowing herself to be used. She has political aspirations beyond 08 if the GOP lose.
How it helps that, is beyond me because she’s as dumb as brick.
Palin yesterday: “Hello New Hampshire. It’s good to be here in the Great NorthWest”.
I mean really. Obama couldn’t ask for a better fool if he paid McCain to find one.

Odd. We’ve almost forgotton about her. That is sort of a good thing for McCain, but hey, bring out the journalism major flunkout on a joke show and dress her up like a comedian. yup. Great. remind us of how very unpresidential she is after just witnessing Barak being so very cool and calm and presidential. What a weird choice. But hey, works for me. I love a good laugh and I want Mccain to lose.

– She has political aspirations beyond 08 if the GOP lose. –
I believe that when McCain/Palin lose in November, Palins political career is over.
If it were not for her position in the national spotlight, her violation of state ethics laws might have been a smaller hurdle to overcome in a remote state that nobody much cares about.. but now, the whole world knows, and the board in Alaska has now decided to expand their investigation to other ethic violation charges against not just Palin, but to other officials in her administration.

I’m still at a loss as to how low peoples expectations are about our leaders. I guess the current nut in office has a lot to do with it, but the GOP really scraped the bottom of the barrel this go round. And yet, there are still people who spout such nonsense as “Gary” up above who said: “What bothers the liberals about Sarah Palin is she actually has more experience then Obama”. Yeah Gary, that’s it.. that’s what bothers us. Unbelievable.. truly unbelievable.. it is indeed amazing how far some people will bend over and just take whatever is thrown at them.. and continue asking for more by cheering them on and defending whoever happens to be presented before them. Whatever happened to picking the best and the brightest to lead? Whatever happened to actually demanding excellence from our elected officials? How did we come to the point where below average has become an acceptable level to command the greatest nation in the world?
I fear for what this country will look like when my children inherit it if Sarah Palin becomes the bar at which we set for our leaders in November.

I noticed tonight on Letterman that McCain again claimed to always correct his “fans” whenever they called Senator Obama names or made false accusations about him. Well we all know the reason for the name calling etc…is that his sidekick Palin took off her lipstick and boxing gloves and put on her heels..as she said. The GOP “sicked” her on Senator Obama as a last resort. Well after they saw that it was not only not working but causing McCain to loose ground…and only then did McCain correct his “fans” and insist that Senator Obama was a good man. McCain and Palin are so low class that they aren’t even worth the attention that they are getting. Who wants people like them in the White House? I mean really….think about it.

John McCain’s transition team leader (the person he hired to choose who will be in his cabinet) was a LOBBYIST FOR SADDAM HUSSEIN. John McCain is friends with G. Gordon Liddy, who was sentenced (and went to) Federal prison for his role in the Watergate breakout, and who advised the Waco crowd to shoot ATF agents. And then there are McCain’s ties to the Contras (and their death squads). Who here is palling around with terrorists? NOT “that one”…it’s “the other one”!

Why waste all this time spinning our wheels. I would like to make the immodest proposal that we join Joe the Plumber with Sarah Lipstick” Palin in holy matrimony and anoint them as the monarchy of the USA. This election business has gone way too far. Knowledge of the law or history are no longer required to govern. We want celebrities. Joe Plumber and Sarah Lipstick shared a meteoric rise to fame from obscurity and are now the beloved of the American people. We hate intellectuals and the Joe Six Pack/ Plumber Hockey/Soccer Mom couple can be made king and queen because they are just like us, common man and woman.Their former partners will just have to understand and accept the sacrifice. Joe the Plumber looks like he can kick Todd’s rear in any case. Sarah is considered presidential and she can pass her wisdom on to Joe the Plumber. This pair is the new American Idol Couple so just let them both rule the country. They are the salt of the earth. that’s all that counts. And by the way, lets get rid of the Constitution once and for all. Bush/Cheney already ignore it – too many words anyway.

Remember, “NO NEW TAXES!”. President Bush, Sr. Then there were taxes.
W. Bush, a conservative, right-winger had to commit to “socialism” to bail this country out of trouble
It is interesting that when the RIGHT is in need, they ask for and get a “hand-out” from the government.
Again, as long as there is CORPORATE WELFARE (and it will exist as long as illegal drugs), socialism will exist.
It is convenient, however, for the RIGHT and the ignorant to blame socialism on others. It is also easy to sell them a “Bridge to Nowhere that is located near ocean-front property in Kansas”.
Get off your blaming butts and do the research. I guarantee you will find the REAL reason this country is in the RED. Get it? RED (not BLUE).
RED = Stress
BLUE = Calm, Laid Back

You all are taking this too far….it’s SNL! She’ll do a five-minute skit BEFORE the WEEKEND UPDATE monologue, and then they’ll make fun of her afterwards! She ALWAYS reads teleprompters OR either memorizes statements, so this will not be hard for her,but it will not help her or McCain out either! BUT IF DOES SHE MESS UP….COME ON TINA (LOL)!!If her party didn’t keep her hid away so much, it might actually have helped. It’s really a LOSE-LOSE for her,but hell, let her do it…I’ll have my popcorn waiting to see if “gosh,golly,darn-right, and say-it-aint-so” actually go over with the audience(LOL).

Has Obama visited all 58 states yet? I remember him saying he visited 57 and had one more to go. Just wondering.
Every candidate deserves to be critiqued equally (in Comedy and in News) and you would do well to remember that every candidate has had their share of gaffes and errors.
Obama has had 2 years preparing to run for president (debates, interviews, campaign rallies, SNL visits) unlike Sarah Palin who has had to collect herself within a matter of weeks. Either way, you need to refocus on the TWO presidential nominees not comparing Obama to Sarah Palin, or Obama to Bush.
Finally, America benefits from free speech but not from racism, sexism, and quasi-intelligence. Some of you should be ashamed of your posts. I especially find it sickening to worry about visiting a black doctor as an outcome of Obama’s national healthcare plan. Are you serious? I don’t worry about other countries hating Americans, I worry about Americans hating each other. This election has brought out the worst in Americans :(.
PS. I would boycott SNL because it has not been funny for 6-7 years, not because of that weeks guest “star”.

Remember the promise to give middle class tax cuts via Bill Clinton? Did you get those? Do not act like the left is immune to campaign promises that are bridges to nowhere. The only comments I believe from a politician are those that I do not want to hear. No politician benefits from that type of comment, and as such they MIGHT have a dash of truth.

You know what? I really can’t see the logic in not raising taxes somewhere. Yet here people keep saying they want to cut taxes. Okayyyyy… If we cut taxes, how will we pay for those services many people take for granted? Repairing of our transportation interstructures – roads, tunnels, bridges, etc. Unemployment benefits? What about those subsities given out to farms and other businesses? Programs that truly help the people and not the ‘pork’ that we keep hearing about. I really can’t see the logic is cutting too much taxes or else there will be no money to run the government.
BTW, I think the ‘trickle down’ theory does not work period nor will say ‘trickle up’. Any business person can tell that jobs will only be created when there is a large pick-up of business to be done – more orders for goods and services. Giving a tax break for big business will not help if there is no increace in the demand for goods and services. And even though I know I and many other Americans want to see less taxes on us, due that we do not make a lot of money compare to really big businesses, more money in our pockets does not always go back into the economy, especially if prices of food and energy is high. (The Stimulus Package months ago didn’t help the economy at all.)
So in the end, will less taxes really help much? Meh. Not really. The only ones who can really afford more taxes are the filthy rich anyway.

Tina Fey has provided welcome comic relief for those of us still reeling in disbelief that Sarah Palin is a VP pick. Tina Fey is funny because she mockingly points out Sarah’s deficiencies. The audience which enjoys this humorous ridicule of Sarah Palin is not interested in seeing more of Sarah herself, particularly in a venue in which she only has to entertain and enjoy the limelight. We all know that is her strong suit. Bringing Sarah herself to SNL detracts from the good thing they had going.

Why put Palin on SNL. I thought the idea there was comedy. It’d be much funnier to put Biden on and just listen to him on a regular “on the stump speech”. I know I crack up listening to him… “Stand up there Charlie…ooops…”, “When I talk people at Katy’s diner.. ( It closed in 1983)…”When I go to Home Depot”…(no one in any area Home Depot stores near his house has ever seen him..)..”I can’t go to a 7-11 with meeting someone from India”..”..”What we need is a 3 letter word.. J O B S…”
The man is a riot.
I’ve got to hand it to the Democrats…run a guy with no experience for President and run a comedian for VP…hilarious!

I looked at Obama’s national healthcare program and there is a mention of subsidies without the mention of where the subsidies originate. That sound like socialized medicine and socialized medicine is worse than the healthcare we now have. I looked at Canada and use the reference from
http://www.theadvocates.org/freeman/8903lemi.html
and you can have that if you want. I have friends in England that tell me their healthcare is about as bad as Canada. I really do not care what you choose because I have all the coverage I need and it is free. I reference

for all my medical needs. There is many things you can do to have a happy healthy life.

I’m very disappointed in SNL for having Palin on the show. Comedy is truth, and the truth is she is not capable of coming close to being able to be President. Making fun of her to show the truth is great. Mocking that truth by having her on the show is a disaster. I hope Tina Fey has the sense not to appear with her and gush all over her like she actually has some importance simply because John McCain stupidly plucked her out of nowhere and onto an undeserving national stage.

Obama keeps referring to his mother having ovarian cancer.
You do not know that there is no cure for cancer. The insurance companies know that cancer can only be put in remission. In fact, chemotherapy kills more people than cancer. Chemo is toxic substances destroying the digestive system and the immune system. If you had extensive chemotherapy, you will die from the chemo. A doctor will never claim to cure cancer. If he does say your cancer is cured, report the doctor to the AMA.

Repubbots are in smear mode, look at this board. It would be funny if it werent so sick. I believe its a little too little, a little too late. Obama is winning the red states now, and people are sick of McCain and his backwards @ss. He an old mean nazi. Nazi means nationalist, and that he is. He cares more about himself and his twisted views of how things should be than he cares about the common man. McCain cares nothing of the middle class and he will tax them endlessly. Obama cares about US not just the top 5% money earners. McCain cares about his wealthy way of life and his buddies. This Joe the Plumber has been revealed to be a mcCain plant, who is the son of one of his Keating 5 white collar criminal buddies. Hes no plumber nor is he even a taxpayer. Hes someone put into the right place so he could ask the question that would set McCain up to try to topple Obama, because repubs are dirty nazi tricksters.

“Joe the Plumber” stood up for America and now he is being pulled apart by the “media”. Joe has a tax lien and he is not licensed to be a plumber, he just works as a plumber for another person and does the dirty work for less pay. In just a few days the Obama Campaign has been able to tear this man’s life apart after it was the Obama Campaign that went to his neighborhood to solicit votes. But Joe spoke up and began to ask the serious questions — Not allowed! In the last year how much have we learned about Barack Obama?
Barack Obama and Bill Ayers relationship – Just a man that did horrific crimes when I was 8 years old is a blatant lie! No transparency here! Barack Obama worked closely with this man on several organizations and had his launch party for the Senate at Ayer’s home.
CAC – Secret
Obama’s true original Birth Certificate-Indonesia birth certificate- His duel citizenship is a secret. Lawsuits have been filed but NO MEDIA COVERAGE ALLOWED. There is “media” coverage in Canada and Europe. America no longer has “free press”.
Obama’s State Senate Record-Sealed and a Secret
Obama’s college transcripts-Sealed and a Secret
Obama’s Pakistan trip at a time when American’s were forbidden to travel there-Secret
Obama’s Cousin Odinga who received tax payer’s money and Obama speaking revolutionary measures at an Odinga rally-Secret

You completely missed the point. Obama will support a failing system, whether it is the present healthcare system or the national healthcare program he plans.
Medicine is the fourth leading cause of illness and death. Until the present medical system vastly improves, the national healthcare system will support the fourth leading cause of illness and death. That is no not my statistic, it is that of the AMA.

Actually Blackjack,
Your premise makes no sense. For someone without insurance, which are the people who will be affected by Obama’s heath care plan, medicine is NOT the problem. It’s the inablility to seek medical care in the first place.
McCain’s program will DO NOTHING to improve “medicine” accept make it less affordable. Look at waht the real cost of health care for a family of four is. McCain is WAY off the mark. Try challenging an insurance company three states away. Try to negotiate rates as an individual versus as a group. And more importantly, if you have a pre-existing condition, try getting insurance at all as an individual. Even McCain has said many seniors will be UNABLE to get health care under his plan.
With Obama, if you like what you have, fine. Keep it. If not, you have an alternative option.
If you look at the countries with the highest aggregate standared of living (US ranks 12th via the metric used by the Nuited Nations) almost every one has some form of government intervetion in both medical care and their economies. Free markets are not always the most effective means to benefit the whole of a society.
Supply side economics has failed and will fair not better in our health care system.

Obama did no relate to the subsidies in his nation healthcare programs.
The federal government does not have sufficient administrators for proper control of a national healthcare program. Look at the understaffed FDA and the amount of products latter found too dangerous for consumption. Look at the meat inspectors and the tons of meat that go by inspectors that cause illness and death. Look at the agriculture department and the salmonella on produce products. There can never be sufficient administrators to properly supervise a national healthcare program.
Supervision of healthcare programs is better at the state level because the individual states control the schools. Today the schools are a direct link to health education and healthcare. The cost of the states controlling a healthcare program will keep costs much lower than trying to control a national healthcare program. The same competitive measures are in effect whether the federal government or the individual states are administrators of a healthcare program. With today’s computer technology, it is possible to connect all the states to an insurance carriers that meets both state and federal requirements.
It is necessary to shrink federal government for effectively controlling taxpayer cost of all programs. Washington, D.C. is a goliath that needs cutting down in size for better control to reduce lobbying and favoritism of special interest groups.
It is about time that the states have more rights to control needed programs. You can see Russia from Alaska, but you cannot see California from Washington, D.C.

Palin is perfect for SNL. Why? Because she is a joke! I don’t want this uneducated radical anywhere NEAR the White House. It would be the ultimate in statements. It would say we are done with this country, and are throwing it out.
As far as the radical right on this site throwing stones, McCain has his own terrorist friends in Liddy, and his own radical preachers. He has lobbyists running his campaign. Lobbyists for Fanny and Freddy, lobbyists for foreign countries, including Georgia, and dictators that have ties with terrorists, and even a former lobbyist for Saddam Hussein. You point out a minor issue with Obama, not realizing that they are much LARGER issues with the man you say you support.
I guess you have to say something though to separate McCain from Bush, since the McCain policies are extensions of the same policies that failed us after eight years of incompetence. Now we have Palin, who abused her power and looks more like a mix between Cheney and Nixon, only without the intelligence. God help us.

Obama does not know the correct numbers. Obama does not know what is happening in the healthcare world.
Statement attributable to:
Nancy Nielsen, MD
AMA President
“As our nation continues to face a crisis of about 46 million uninsured, many Americans need to look no further than their own families and friends, or neighbors to find someone without health insurance. The uninsured problem does not discriminate; it affects each and every one of us, and everyone deserves better than the status quo. As members of Congress and presidential candidates gather at the conventions, it is vital that they address this important issue.
“Many patients don’t have access to needed health care as the economy’s health declines. Employer-based health insurance is no longer an option for many workers and their families, as employment-based coverage continued to decline in 2007, dropping to 59.3 percent. Americans need more affordable, portable health insurance options.
“U.S. health care spending continues to climb, driving up premiums, and pricing many patients out of coverage. Uninsured patients often don’t get the preventive care they need leading to more difficult and more costly conditions to treat. A good first step to address health care costs is to cover all Americans, ensuring they have better access to health care.
“The AMA proposal to cover the uninsured is a public and private approach that will make needed changes to today’s system. We advocate for a shift in tax incentives for health insurance so lower-income Americans get money to purchase coverage. We also want insurance market reforms to provide individuals more choices and ensure coverage for high-risk patients.
Despite a presidential veto, H.R. 6331, the “Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act of 2008,” passed with wide, bi-partisan majorities in both the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate. See how your senators and representative voted. This bill now becomes law.
This legislation replaces the 10.6% payment cut that went into effect on July 1 with a 0.5% update extension through December 31, 2008. For calendar year 2009, the update will be 1.1%. Other important provisions such as extending the GPCI floor on physician work were also included.
This 18-month reprieve will also provide time for Congress to work with physicians on developing a long-term solution to a payment system that all agree is fatally flawed.
Obama’s national healthcare progam fails from the start.

Palin is more qualified than Obama.
————–
Sure, she’s shown that any time she’s been asked a question right?
What knowledge has she shown about international or national affarirs? Would that be none?
It’s obvious she had no interest in either until a few weeks ago. THAT’S why she doesn’t do interviews. She’s made an ass of herself anytime she hasn’t had a prepared speech to read. Notice she ducked any question at the “debate” that she couldn’t read from her notes.
Experience? As mayor, she took a solvent town of 6000 (barely bigger than my daughter’s high school) and left it 22 MILLION in debt by the time she left. And she didn’t even run the town. She had to hire an administrator to do it. And where is the meth capital of Alaska? Yep, Palin’s town.
In her few months as Governor, she has requested more ear mark pork barrel projects per capita that ANY OTHER governor is the US. (More than Obama and McCain keeps trying to make that a talking point?)
Palin ran against the most corrupt governor in America. Alaskans were furious about their administration. And after hearing her platform (which INCLUDED the bridge to nowhere which she lied about) it’s obvious all she did was call the guy corrupt.
Sure, she can read a sarcastic speech and call people names. But any actress can do that. Other than that, she has proved uncredible.
No way Sarah Parrot should be in a national administration.

Obama’s national healthcare program doomed to failure.
As an example of how government intervention has had unintended consequences, in 1973, the federal government passed the Health Maintenance Organization Act , which heavily subsidized the HMO business model — a model that was in decline prior to such legislative intervention. The law was intended to create market incentives that would lower health care costs, but HMOs have never achieved their cost-reduction potential.
Piecemeal market-based reform efforts are complex. One study evaluating current popular market-based reform policy packages concluded that if market-oriented reforms are not implemented on a systematic basis with appropriate safeguards, they have the potential to cause more problems than they solve.

Shoring up our economy and putting it back on the right track. So health care reform and reducing taxes and reining in spending has got to accompany tax reductions and tax relief for Americas.
And trade we’ve got to see trade as opportunity, not as a competitive scary thing. But 1 in 5 jobs being created in the trade sector today. We’ve got to look at that as more opportunity. All those things under the umbrella of job creation.

This is an injustice to the American people and our democracy! It is her DUTY to be held accountable. It is her DUTY to be transparent and let herself be questioned by the media. This is not someone who is putting Country First, she is putting herself first! The Republican Party should be ashamed. You can not hide a candidate away and only allow her to speak when scripted. “I’m glad the report showed I was innocent of anything illegal or unethical”
Apparently Republicans are easily manipulated by the Jedi mind trick?

It’s funny how people pick on Sarah because they think she is sooo shallow and stupid… She just came from Hickville USA…not Harvard University. She’s not a swift talking lawyer who has no experience..other than hanging out with pro-socialist and pro-communist friends. You complain about lawyers being greedy and dishonest, but when push comes to shove, that’s the people you love the most. You don’t want someone who has any honesty…you want instead a radical. As a result of that, we all will suffer. Who will you complain about then? Who will listen? You have your chance now, but because you have fallen for the leftist press, you just don’t get it.

I was glad to see some one mention the health insurance scams that are being proposed – on both sides.
America wants health care, not health insurance. Insurance is a bureaucratic mechanism to keep people from getting health care.
Back to Palin she has a kid who will need a lot of care over their lifetime. The elitist may not care or rant on things that do not matter.

I am over it with this crap, McCain is downright scary. He apparently HATES women, and would never support the ERA. Palin needs to realize she is able to be where she is because our foremothers have paved the way for her by fighting against men like McCain. Am I the only one who saw the video of her saying she was probably going to support Obama? Obviously taken before she was named for the VP role.
McCain makes attempt to hide his distaste for women. He makes no attempt to hide the fact that he would be leaving millions without health insurance.

In honor of the visit: Will Al Franken write another SNL skit accusing Todd Palin of having sex with his daughter??
Such brilliantly funny material for the newest member of the US Senate.
Yeah, Franken has the right (Wright?) stuff.
Al Franken has shown himself to be an angry, easily enraged man and after the October 16 Minnesota Senatorial candidate’s debate he allowed his overwrought emotional state to send him over the edge once again. After the debate was over and the Media had turned off their microphones and cameras, Franken rushed over to Senator Norm Coleman’s table and proceeded to angrily get in his face over some point or another made during the debate. Franken was getting so angry that his own wife had to rush over and force him to back off from a mounting confrontation with Coleman.
This isn’t the only time that Al Franken has allowed his seemingly delicately balanced temperament to be tipped to unseemly anger. In fact, he’s allowed himself to be driven to physical violence in the past. In 2004, for instance, Franken tackled a disruptive LaRouchie at a Howard Dean speech. He has also been known to get into shouting matches with rally attendees and opponents alike. Not to mention his past usage of intemperate or profane language and mean-spirited use of ridicule in his comedy routines and during his radio shows when he was an Air-America host.

The second post I listed shows why the first post, although absolutely correct, doesn’t mean much. Too many Americans have been brainwashed to believe a “true American” is the person you see in a bar who doesn’t pay much attention to the nuts and bolts of how the economy and society work, but somehow their “common sense” is better than pinheads like Thomas Jefferson and Franklin Roosevelt. We’ve had two such “next door average IQ types in Reagan and Dubya and because of them alone, 10% of the 15% of our taxes that go to debt interest payments are due to them!

Anyone following the public career of washed-up comedian, washed-up radio host, and washed-up pundit Al Franken should not be surprised to see him lose his cool in public. Almost predictably, Franken got into Norm Coleman’s face after apparently losing a debate last night in Minnesota.
http://www.minnesotademocratsexposed.com/2008/10/16/breaking-news-angry-franken-confronts-coleman-after-debate-mrs-franken-runs-on-stage-to-get-franken/
Franken, visibly upset, continues to get in Senator Coleman’s face. Franken is seen on film staring Coleman down as he finally recognizes that Mrs. Franken is trying to get his attention. I slowed down the final few second so you can really see Franken’s anger. Please note Franken staring at Coleman at the end. Franken was cleary upset. …
My sources said that Franken was very upset and was speaking with a raised voice. Mrs. Franken reportedly ran on stage to get Franken away from Coleman.
Not Al Franken! Not the man who had to be pulled away from Laura Ingraham’s producer at the 2004 Republican convention after trying to pick a fight. Not the man who tackled a heckler at a Democratic rally. Not the one who laced his on-stage political tirades with f-bombs, at least until he ran for office.
Franken doesn’t go wild in this video, but he’s clearly trying to intimidate Coleman, and just as clearly failing. His wife has to come around the table to get his attention away from Coleman. It’s not the most egregious moment of Franken’s captured on video, but it does show a man with an unsuitable temperament for public office. At best, Franken is too immature to be taken seriously. He just conducted a debate with Coleman — why not make his arguments then to the public, rather than act out childishly like some sawed-off playground bully?

As well as working people being visible this year, I think we have come to realize that the people running things – think Wall Street, the Senate, Fannie Mae – are not any more qualified than the average Joe the Plumber on the street – maybe less.
We have 80+ year old geezers in the Senate – Ted Stevens of Alaska comes to mind. What are they still doing there? Mainly being involved in corruption and going to the “facilities”.

Wow Doug, you think she is great because she is hot and governor of the largest state of the union?? Alaska may be the biggest state in size but our smallest state has more people to govern population wise. I could be wrong but I am thinking its easier to govern less people than more. Her resume is unimpressive to me.

Let’s get serious folks. This is not what our country needs.

Most of you people need to chill out. It’s a comedy show for God’s sake.
I don’t like Sarah Palin. She’s not stupid, but she sure as hell isn’t smart enough to run the free world if McCain croaks.
I am an avid Obama supporter, but I actually give Palin some props for agreeing to show up on SNL. It takes some guts to go on a show that has been making fun of her for the past several weeks.
I think it’s going to be hysterical. Nothing she could do would make me vote for Palin, but I dislike her a little less because she is willing to make fun of herself. This is the only time I’ll ever say, “Go Sarah”.

Besides, between hacking email and code and being a lower case ‘c’ communist, or waiting in the welfare line – can’t you give a little equal time on one of the boobtubes programming like SNL, vue, oprah, communist news net and black ent net to parody your hatred?

Thanks, Katie Butler who posted from England about America’s racism. You’re absolutely right. That America has had to struggle to accept an erudite, intelligent, African-American candidate for president is a disgrace. Compared with the last eight years, Obama will be a breath of fresh air. Only bigots and racists (and there’s too many of those still alive here) are spewing rhetoric that Obama’s no good, under the pretense that they feel he’s “unqualified.” When they’re correctly called on their prejudice, they wail that the “race card” is being played again. This was a country in which blacks didn’t have equal access to public accomodations until 1964, some 188 years after the U.S. was founded! And 44 years after women got the right to vote!

** I think Bill Maher said it best when he said “the reason no one trust Sarah Palin is because SHE DOESN’T KNOW ANYTHING. Thats what disqualifies her her lack of knowledge about the world. The way she speaks, the way the McCain Campaign hides her, the things she says shows most people with a brain that she knows little of nothing. Personally I don’t want to know more about the world than the Vice Presidential candidate but to some people that excites them. Stupidity for some reason makes me sick not happy

Let her appear. Remember, this is a political party that thinks Mellencamp’s bitingly cynical classic “Little Pink Houses” is a positive, upbeat little tune to play at rallies. Ah, but ain’t that America? Whatever the SNL writers feed her, her handlers will totally miss the subtext and she’ll wind up even more of a laughing stock.
Oooooooo, wouldn’t ya? Barraclueless!

If Sarah Palin would become the VP and thus a role model, then, why in the world would we need to keep spending billons of dollars sending our kids to college— after all, we could just as easily say to them, look the VP got to the top without any real education, you can too. I guess we would still need some college trained people-like civil engineers for bridge building–but as far as science is concerned, why bother? All the damn science types do is discover things that the leaders of our country don’t want to believe–anyway.
Like the earth revolving around the sun, and global climate change.

** Now to racist people, you can’t say that. You can’t have an opinion about racist without calling some people racist (even though they are) But when anything is said to Sarah Palin, those people are sexist– which isn’t true. So it’s okay to question Obama’s character, call him a muslim (even though he’s a christian) terriorist, Say his wife and him aren’t patriotic, call him a Marxist, Communist, Socialist, and any other word the conservatives can find to discredit him as a person. However, most people realize John McCain has not talked about the people who need the most help. If he’s going to spend his Presidency protecting the rich, then it clearly shows who he’s fighting for and it’s not most of the American people!

What do people think SNL is? A Mensa meeting? This isn’t an intelligence contest. After being ripped daily by Letterman, McCain still appears on his show, and Palin being mimicked on every show, is still happy to go on. Props to these two for having a sense of humor, and willing to poke fun at themselves. She’s appearing on a comedy show. . .that’s it. . . . reading through your posts, it’s blatantly obvious, you liberals are one angry, bitter bunch. “Funny, that’s what Bush showed down from Gore and he won.”
Actually, he lost. It took a hell of a lot of fancy footwork by his brother’s cronies in Florida and a shame-faced fix in the conservative Supreme Court to subvert the popular vote and install the Shrub by legislative coup.
Note that Obama’s lead is growing, not shrinking. No candidate has ever pulled out of a tailspin like this in the history of American politics… even with Karl Rove’s Big Book of Dirty Tricks at his disposal.
Palin is much beloved by some sectors of the population. Then again, so is Lassie. I suspect of the two, Lassie would be a more sensible pick for VP. Lassie has better handlers.

Yukon. . you really need to go to sources other than “The Daily Show” for your news. This is from CNN.
WASHINGTON (CNN) — A comprehensive study of the 2000 presidential election in Florida suggests that if the U.S. Supreme Court had allowed a statewide vote recount to proceed, Republican candidate George W. Bush would still have been elected president.
In releasing the report, the consortium said it is in no way trying to rewrite history or challenge the official result — that Bush won Florida by 537 votes. Rather it is simply trying to bring some additional clarity to one of the most confusing chapters in U.S. politics.
You see. . . no fancy footwork

I forgot this part of the article:
“Suppose that Gore got what he originally wanted — a hand recount in heavily Democratic Broward, Palm Beach, Miami-Dade and Volusia counties. The study indicates that Gore would have picked up some additional support but still would have lost the election — by a 225-vote margin statewide.

Does anyone here have the least amount of knowledge in economic cycles, political positions and the tiniest bit of information of the constitution?
The President has far less to do with the economy than congress, and even more so, true economic cycles.
So Obama or McCain ‘fixing’ the economy is truly as big blast of political msinformation. The ability to get congress to work with you, across both party lines is the most essential- in this McCain has years of proven statistical experience- check out his sts versus Obama’s very limited and inexperienced political career…Not a problem you say- Democrats will hold the majority-check your facts again- statistically the majority will swing against the serving President’s party at the next two-year election. The good news is that if you do not like Obama- don’t worry about too much change, because his limited record has proven he is incapable of ‘winning’ others to his cause.
As for Palin…I think she will be able to decide a tie vote in Senate, as executive experience does require actual decisions. Have to say though- not a fan of self-deprecating humor on either side!
Check out your constitution-get educated on what the President actually does, and quit listening to the ridiculous one-sided political spin…

This for those trolls who keep posting tthose stupid “Gallup Shock! Obama 49% – McCain 47%” posts:
The (Obama) campaign cited figures from secretaries of state showing that Democrats have increased their advantages more than tenfold in North Carolina, from 18,274 to 198,557; among registered Florida voters from 368,757 in 2004 to 618,244; and by nearly triple in Pennsylvania, from 191,269 to 556,109.
In Iowa, Democrats reversed a Republican lead of 7,658 in registered voters in 2004 to take a 103,756-voter advantage heading into this year’s election.
Democrats gained a 93,727-voter advantage in Nevada, overcoming a 4,431 deficit in 2004.
In Colorado, a state that Republican presidential candidates usually win, there are 49,280 more registered Democrats than there were in 2004 and nearly 80,000 fewer Republican registrants, the campaign said. In West Virginia, Democratic registration fell by 11,390 from 2004, while Republican registration rose by 224, but the Obama campaign said that Democratic registration in 2008 has outpaced the GOP’s by 14,845.
In Maine, which allows citizens to register on the same day that they vote, the number of registered voters in both parties fell, with Republicans losing 32,888 and Democrats 18,340, yielding a 46,294-voter advantage for Democrats, compared with 31,746 in 2004.
In New Hampshire, Democrats nearly caught Republican registration, narrowing a gap of 38,746 voters to 5,932.
In New Mexico, Democrats increased their advantage from 190,956 to 212,324.
In Oregon, a GOP loss of 67,009 registered voters helped Democrats widen a 17,174-voter edge in 2004 to 102,010.

SNL is at heart an improv show. If her sessions are shot live, there is tremendous potential for someone to throw her an unscripted line or two. The chance of seeing her respond spontaneously should attract the same crowd that attends car races hoping for some dramatic carnage.

As for the ‘great state’ of Alaska–it is not a big state–population is 600,000–woooooo! Alaska has the higest rate of rape and incest, and looks like unwed teenage pregnancy is on the rise if the VP-ette is any indication. Ms. Palin makes rape victims pay for their rape kits. Her husband works for an oil company, yet ‘advises’ her and sits in on government meetings. She thinks the story of Adam and Eve starting the world is real. She doen’t believe in global warming. She’s been ‘cured’ by witch-doctors (on video). Oh, and she lies to make herself look better.

I am not a huge fan of either of the candidates. As a matter of fact I am from Chicago and very used to Obama’s smile and charm, nice family pictures. Why I am voting Democrat!
I’m voting Democrat because I believe the government will do a better job of spending MY MONEY than I would. I think when you spread the wealth around it is good for everybody! It’s Patriotic!
I’m voting Democrat because I believe that business should not be allowed to make profits for themselves. All profits are evil and should be confiscated for Government Redistribution.
I’m voting Democrat because I believe that MORE Government regulations and higher taxes on Business will stop Business from exporting their jobs to Countries with LESS Government regulations and lower taxes.
I’m voting Democrat because I believe terrorists should be allowed to have trials in American courts. And be able to subpoena top secret documents, soldiers, government officials, etc. to cross examine for their defense. They should have ACLU lawyers who can help intimidate Americans who serve on the juries!
I’m voting Democrat because I believe in a FREE government health care system. I believe doctors, nurses, hospitals, drug companies, etc. will gladly donate their time, products, services, facilities, etc. for FREE and that will be a better system.
I’m voting Democrat because I believe in and support trial lawyers, frivolous lawsuits and outrageous jury verdicts.
I’m voting Democrat because I believe 9/11 was an inside job to con the American people to go to war for oil.
I’m voting Democrat because I believe social security is solvent and that there is a social security lock box and I don’t believe social security is a Ponzi scheme.
I’m voting Democrat because I believe Gay Marriage should be the law of the land and will probably produce better children.
I’m voting Democrat because I believe English should not be the official language of the United States. I don’t mind pushing one for English when I use the phone.
I’m voting Democrat because I believe partial birth abortion is okay but water boarding a terrorist is disgusting.
I’m voting Democrat because I believe having a domestic terrorist like Bill Ayers as a close friend is a good thing. It allows for great relations with foreign terrorists.
I’m voting Democrat because I believe MOST AMERICANS are bitter and cling to their guns and religion. Let’s rid our country of guns and religion!
I’m voting Democrat because I believe illegal aliens deserve all the rights of ordinary Americans plus some additional rights Americans do not have.
I’m voting Democrat because I believe groups like ACORN who register felons, drug addicts, wino’s, homeless drifters, illegal aliens, dead people, children, fictional Disney characters, etc. makes my vote count more.
I’m voting Democrat because I believe celebrating the winter solstice shows compassion for the small minority of people that do not celebrate Christmas.
I’m voting Democrat because I believe hard core criminal murders and rapists deserve life and that the innocent unborn deserve death. It’s a choice I can live with.
I’m voting Democrat because I believe Bush caused Hurricane Katrina and he blew-up the levies in the ninth ward of New Orleans.
I’m voting Democrat because I believe our soldiers are AIR RAIDING villages and killing innocent people.
I’m voting Democrat because I believe sex in the Oval Office with an intern is a private matter and that everybody lies under oath about sex.
I’m votin Demokrat becuse I wus edumkated at a publick sckrool. I lik da NEA!
I’m voting Democrat because I believe that any one who is not partaking in one of the many wonderful government programs obviously has too much money and should pay higher taxes.
I’m voting Democrat because when we pull out of Iraq the terrorists will be happy and now think of us as good people.
I’m voting Democrat because freedom of speech is fine as long as it does not offend people. Can’t we all just get along?
I’m voting Democrat because I believe oil companies’ profits are wrong. I believe higher taxes on oil companies will produce lower prices at the pump.
I’m voting Democrat because I believe we need to rid ourselves of dependency on foreign oil, BUT I AM AGAINST offshore drilling for oil and natural gas, drilling in Anwar, building nuclear power plants and clean coal technology.
And finally, I’m voting Democrat because I believe Reverend Wright when he said “GODDAMN AMERICA” and “OUR CHICKENS ARE COMING HOME TO ROOST”. Hey let’s make a comfortable nest for those chickens!
Why are you voting Democrat?

When running for Mayor of Wasilla, Sarah Palin promised to take a pay cut. When she became mayor, she did reduce her pay by $4,000/yr., but she hired an administrator for $50,000/yr. She also took $50,000 that was supposed to be used for road improvements, and instead used the money to remodel her office. Check out the video “Sarah Palin: Fiscal Conservative?” Obama/Biden ’08!

From the New York Times, Bob Herbert: “The idea that the voters of the United States might install someone in the vice president’s office who is too unprepared or too intellectually insecure to appear on, say, “Meet the Press” or “Face the Nation” is mind-boggling. The alarm bells should be clanging and warning lights flashing. You wouldn’t put an unqualified pilot in the cockpit of a jetliner. The potential for catastrophe is far, far greater with an unqualified president.” Obama-Biden ’08!

PRESS CONFERENCE, PRESS CONFERENCE, PRESS CONFERENCE FOR PALIN!!!!”…first off…she has not been convicted…the legislature can not convict anyone…that would be for another branch of the government called hte judiciary. Plus anything coming out of a legislature is dubious at best….from that body only comes politically motivated attacks….seldom any real evidence. Second, the media blew their chance with her when they viciously attacked her family for no other reason than to discredit her. They showed no respect and hence she feels they don’t need to have the honor of speaking to her. Third, she does give interviews and I have heard them but since you clearly are not the radio type of person yo haven’t heard them. Get your head out of the NY Times and Washington Post and you will find all the information you desire.

Kitty: You need to get information period. Getting it from the radio is one place, online is another, newpapers is another, and magazines is another….if you don’t seek out sources you become stagnant…..I read the NY Times and the Post as well as other papers but sometimes you need to go to another source to get information even if it seems objectionable. I can’t stand the Times….they are in fact a propaganda paper…but I read them because I get valuable insight into issues from a different prospective. If you want to know more about her you need to either go to one of her rallies or listen to some radio. I don’t see the Washington Post or the NY Times asking very many hard questions of Obama….certainly the newsoutlets are treating him with kit gloves……I don’t hear you complaining about that.

You know, after reading several posts that are critical of Palin, it just reiterates the notion that they are afraid. I mean, truly afraid of this woman because they actually might LIKE HER! (GASP!) They’ve thrown everything including the kitchen sink to her like saying her baby wasn’t even hers. She actaully knows how to shop at Wal-Mart (GASP!) She’s a Normal person and not an elitist snob. Of course, the leftists would have no problem if she was a democrat. Amazing, the hypocracy. Only women that have leftist views are to be commended but if they don’t concur with that ideology, then they should be ostracized to the 10th degree! I hope Palin gives Obamanites a taste of their own medicine like McCain did last night. They can dish it out, but they sure can’t take it! Go Sarah!

Hellen, you don’t have to be ugly or untalented to be against Palin. What you need is a little bit of intellect and awareness of national and international issues. I’m a woman, attractive and successful in my own field. I look at Palin and all I see is someone who looks good but has no substance. This “executive experience” that her supporters talk of is akin to the owner of a local convenience store declaring that makes her fit to be CEO of Wal-Mart. As someone else said, it’s comparing an iglo to the Empire State Building. Being a mom, while important within a family and a community, is not a qualification for the vice-presidency of the leader of the free world. What I object to most of all, is that until McCain picked her as running mate, is Palin’s apparent lack of curiosity about events outside of Alaska. The reason she performed so poorly in the Gibson and Couric interviews is that she lacks a basic grasp of current affairs in this country and around the world. The McCain campaign understands Palin’s glaring weaknesses and that’s why they have erected this unprecedented gigantic protective shield around her so she doesn’t put her foot in her mouth again. But we don’t need any pretenders in the White House, especially in these tumultous times. And Palin is one of the biggest Pretenders ever to surface in American politics.

SARAH PALIN IS GUILTY OF ABUSE OF AUTHORITY BY A BIPARTISAN LEGISLATION – 10 REPUBLICANS AND 4 DEMOCRATS – THE VERDICT IS IN- SHE VIOLATED HER POSITION AND SHE LIED TO COVER HER ACTIONS!!!!!
The Networks and the McCain Campaign is lying again by saying this was a Partisan decision by the democrats. Just because you are an at-will(can fire for no reason) employee does not mean you can abuse your authority for personal vendettas. They need to fess up and grow up and take responsibility for their actions. This recent decision can bring further and future charges that could lead to censure and/or impeachment of Governor Palin. She is guilty of Abusing her authority as a trusted Government official and she based her qualifications for Vice President and for being a heartbeat away from the Presidency on her experience. She has lied about the reasons for firing the commissioner on several occasions. She personally defamed his character and libelously attacked his creditability without regard to the effect on him and his family for pure political gain and basically projecting herself as a moral Christian with nothing to hide. She initially said that he went on a trip unauthorized until ABC produced the document that said otherwise. Her constituents were not in agreement with her intimidating and threatening tactics, but carried them out for fear of their jobs. She had her husband run meetings and help in this attack even though he is not authorized and she overstepped her authority. She gave him permission to be her strong arm and he is clearly connected to and was a member of the Alaskan Independence Party created by Joe Vogler who was a radical Anti-American terrorist and she tried to appoint one of the radical terrorist, John Stein, to head City Council but it was rejected by the people. She used intimidation, manipulation and domination to run her position and that is illegal.
She has no creditability. She has no integrity. You cannot believe anything that she says.
It is blatantly clear that she is not qualified for Vice President, or President and now that
this decision has been confirmed and brought out, it is clear she is not even qualified for Governor either. I am also glad that they are looking into her paying herself taxpayer money for daily per diems including weekends to stay at home. The majority of the people I know work in a different city than where they live, however, they do not get per diems. She took thousands of taxpayers dollars. This is not a woman you want elected and she does not represent true Christianity.

McCain’s VP Choice Sarah Palin Is Under Ethics Investigation For Abuse Of Power In Alaska»
Palin’s reformer image took a hit last month when she was accused of attempting to get a state trooper fired. That state trooper was her former brother-in-law who had gone through “a messy divorce” with her sister. After the trooper’s boss wouldn’t act on the governor’s request, she fired him. Though Palin says she doesn’t “have anything to hide” and she “didn’t do anything wrong there,” an investigation has found that one of her aides pushed the firing:
Gov. Sarah Palin on Wednesday revealed an audio recording that shows an aide pressuring the Public Safety Department to fire a state trooper embroiled in a custody battle with her sister.
Palin, who has previously said her administration didn’t exert pressure to get rid of trooper Mike Wooten, also disclosed that members of her staff had made about two dozen contacts with public safety officials about the trooper.
Palin’s scandal envelops her in the constellation of scandal-plagued lawmakers currently serving in Alaska. Here’s a brief overview:
Sen. Ted Stevens: Last month, long-serving Alaska Sen. Ted Stevens was indicted by a federal grand jury “with seven counts of making false statements for failing to disclose” gifts of over $250,000 from the oil services company VECO Corp.
Senate President Lyda Green.

I read from AP, Reuters and Fox that Obama will spend around USD 2 million dollars for a victory party on the evening of the electtion day. If this is true, is this what we called patriotism to their country? a lot of people around america have lost their jobs due to this economic mess, and only a few from the elite democratic party will enjoy this lavish 2 million dollar party. This is ridiculous!! God save america from socialist elites. I guess this is the real nature of socialism. only those within the socialist politburo will enjoy such privelges, and not the real middle class americans who they claimed they are fighting for.

It’s amazing how repubs think Sarah is something special. It really says alot about the american voter. I consider myself objective enough to see the other side. What I see in her is that she can read a script. For instance, at the repub convention we got a view for the first time of someone we never even knew existed and McCain only met once or twice. She reads what the campaign stump speech requires and she supposed to be this great thing. She stumbles on an interview and the campaign tapes her mouth. She changes the total concept of a debate and people actually think she she did good. Never answered anything that wasn’t in her stomp speech. If this were a possibility on a dems ticket I’d be very outraged. This woman can’t even talk to the normal political press core and no one has questions. OMG!!! She’s been hidden from the interviews that most politicians go through. If McCain elected we won’t even know enough about his running to make a clear judgement on how she’ll govern given the fact that her POTUS is 72 yrs old. Very sad and you guys would only have yourselves to blame.

Maybe Palin can help McCain balance the budget in 4 years like he said he would do. McCain told a crowd today in Florida that he would take care of the Castro brothers in Cuba. McCain also said that freedom would be coming soon to the Cuban people. Is McCain already planning another war???? I guess 3 wars at one time is the charm. I’m sure Palin could help out with all her expertize in other countries. Palin/McCain what a joke!!! Heck darn, the old guy dies then Palin is the President! How scary is that!!!

Democrat for equality – ACORN gives the names of registered republican voters to the state office of the GOP and the list of registered democrats to that state office. I have gotten calls from both parties.

I can’t believe Sarah Palin called certain parts of the country UnAmerican. Look at the words she used. Pro American, Real Americans, and Best of America. What kind of Right Wing nut is Sarah Palin to be running for VP and insulting the same folks she wants to vote for her. I guess its only Obama supporters or anybody who doesn’t support their robo calls and low road campaign tactics. I think the media is taking this too lightly. Sarah Palin during a fund raiser said that only certain parts of the country are patriotic and real Americans and she’s running to be VP and proberly president. Thats very alarming and I think she needs to explain exactly which part of America does she think is UnAmerican or less patriotic. This is starting to become a narrative. On Chris Mathews today congresswoman Michelle Bockwman said that congress should be integregated on who’s American and anti-American. Now Sarah Palin is stating that only certain parts of America are Pro America. This follows 3 weeks of attacks from the Mccain/Palin campaign that questioned Obama’s patriotism. The republicans and Mccain/Palin campaign should be questioned about their patriotism its the Republican party that has made the economy worst with their deregulation and their Right Wing policies for the rich. Its the Republican Party that has us in 2 wars thats costing us Billions a month. How patriotic is the Republican Pary when the leader of their Party is leaving the country with 2 wars with no resolution, 11 trillion in debt, and a economy in turmoil? Their the ones if anybody who’s patriotism should be in quesion. I think if Mccain/Palin were in the White House the country would be worst with their radical Right Wing beliefs and their decisive nature. KEEP MCCAIN/PALIN OUT OF THE WHITE HOUSE. WHY HASN’T THE MEDIA ASK MCCAIN ABOUT HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH GORDON LIDEY? IT TOOK DAVID LETTERMAN A NIGHT SHOW COMEDIAN TO GIVE MCCAIN A REAL INTERVIEW. THE MOST EFFECTIVE INTERVIEW MCCAIN HAS HAD THROUGHOUT THIS CAMPAIGN.

The McCain campaign is seeking to clarify a remark reported from a Sarah Palin fundraiser in North Carolina yesterday in which the Alaska Governor declared that she loved to visit the “pro-America” areas of the country — implying, implicitly, that there were some parts of the United States she viewed as not pro-America.

Have these people no sense of decency in their maniacal pursuit of the White House? I, as one who is a new American, am deeply repulsed by these revolting attacks that have no basis in fact or morality.

I hear that Sarah Palin is actually the evil clone of Eva Braun. This would explain why her rallys are so reminisant of Nazi rallys of years past.

Wealth has already been spread around. These last eight years proved it.
Spread around so much that it is almost bankrupting our country. Apparently it was spread around to the wrong people because many, many families are struggling, losing homes, kids possibly can’t go to college, no medical insurance because they lost their jobs, 401Ks and retirements gone, etc. etc.
Hurting because money was allowed to be spread around to crooks that were running corporations and politicians in Washington D.C.. Oh, by the way, The Right Wingers had to convert to “Socialism” to attempt to bail out the country.
Very simply put.
May be we need someone to head this country who will spread money around in a way that is opposite to what has brought this country practically to its knees.
Some of you need to take of your rose colored glasses and may be you will realize the TRUTH. That is if you can handle the TRUTH.
Grow Up!

Will they also have Joe-The-Plumber and Joe-Six-Pack fighting it out in a ring on the show? The winner and the loser could both be awarded a Palin (a toss-up between which is actually more real) and everyone could get real mavericky.

Let’s not forget that Palin’s husband is a successionist. Doesn’t believe in America, wants Alaska to succeed for the US and she spoke at one of his Alaskan Independant Party meeting and said “I share your views”. So now who is paling around with anti-american’s????

I’m just wondering how they are going to stop the audience from booing…??? And how the campaign spins the fact that she hasn’t had “time” to do an interview on CNN, NBC, or ANY of the sunday talk shows, but has time for SNL. Bring on Terry Tate!

Maybe they could have Joe the Plumber on & he could get all the answers he’s looking for from Carribou Barbie…

I still can’t believe how racist this country is… White people just hate to loose power.

Obama is NOT a muslim. Take some time to educate yourself.. oh wait we’re in America. There is no actual education in America.

I just love the way she’s making time to go on SNL and play celebrity, but she hasn’t made time to have some serious talks with reporters or answer serious questions that us Americans still have about her. Guess she’s hoping her “celebrity” on SNL will just give her more points. Hopefully people don’t fall for this. A good performance on SNL, does not a serious VP make! Especially when our country is in dire straights right now. We need serious government and problem resolution in serious times!

can you idiots learn to spell before making large posts about Palin’s husband’s secessionist plans? its not successionist nor succession, doesn’t that sound too much like success to you? learn the difference. The word is secession.
And why won’t anyone talk about Palin’s performance on SNL!?? was it funny? good bad? I mean I look for some comments regarding the appearance and all I see is a bunch of kids whining.

This is how Palin spends her time? She is a fame-vulture… failed beauty queen, sportscaster now a ‘politician’. Maybe she should have spent a little less time listening to her publicist on how to get ‘famous’, and a little more time educating herself. She sends a very BAD message for young women, that it is Ok to be stupid and mediocre at what you do, as long as you look cute and play by the guys’ rules.

Hi from Ireland.
I cannot vote, it is your call, so I wish you all well.
I am amazed at the shallow depths some will go to in order to shaft an opponent. My God, calling Michelle a gorilla…!!!
Do you realise how stunningly uncouth some of you are viewed in Europe? Do you realise that Bush, Cheney etc. are really scary to us over here?
Sarah Palin is viewed as dangerous. We all know that low intelligence is compensated for by radical fundamentalist hype. That is playing to the lowest common denominator constituency, and it works!
The result of this election will affect the entire world, mark my words, so do the right thing please and you will have the respect in the world. Do the wrong thing and you will be ridiculed again.

Tina Fey did a great job.
The writers did a great job.
And Palin did what Palin does best.
She stood there and read her lines like a good girl.
Whoo Hooo.
Score for the GOP.

She was good natured and funny even with SNL still not pulling any punches!
I would make some comments about Obama but am afraid his campaign might hunt me down and call me a racist or “investigate” me and swarm me with reporters and make it sound like I’m a criminal, like they did to Joe The Plumber, so I think I keep my comments to my self. lol

After reading all the hate towards Palin on here and so many people acting like she’s so dumb and they are so superior and smart in comparison, I just HAVE to made an observation! I’m sure literally everyone of you folks that are acting so superior and saying how stupid she is, have never even ran a successful home budget, or have been in charge of anything more than getting your own self absorbed butt out of bed every morning.
Tell you what, if you’ve become the highest rated governor of any state running a multi-million dollar budget and are responsible for thousands of peoples lives, then I might just listen to you when you judge someone else, but until you’ve done that, you might want to consider keeping your mouth shut so as to not reveal your own stupidity by calling someone who has done such a great job running a state!
I’m sure the ones calling her stupid are probably people who think a great democratic state like California has genius’s running it, even though that state has a debt that is larger than most badly run countries ever have… and you think this Governor Palin is really stupid for running her State into a surplus in which she actually gave the residents money back!
Sorry, I think maybe you all just MIGHT have a very screwed up concept of what makes people smart or dumb. lol
