ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos reports: A top House official is confident House leaders have enough votes to pass the financial rescue package, which is expected to be voted on later today.

A top House official tells ABC News they have at least 230 votes for the bailout package – at least 150 Democrats and at least 80 Republicans.

The House of Representatives needs 218 votes to pass the bill.

When the financial rescue package failed to pass in the House on Monday, only 140 Democrats and 65 Republican members voted for the bill — 13 votes shy of the 218 needed to pass.
