2012 Watch: ‘Sarah-Centric’

The Sarah Palin Image Refurbishing Tour has begun in earnest.

Palin coined an interesting term about the enthusiasm for her at GOP rallies.

"Any of the chants of ‘Sarah’ or anything that maybe would look like maybe anything was Sarah-centric, is, on my part, I know that it is not me personally, that the cheers were for," she said. "It’s for, ‘Cool, we’ve got a woman on the ticket, we’ve got this manifestation of progress and change in America.’… But not me, personally, were those cheers for, but it was just for the representation of a woman on the ticket, a mom, somebody who loves this country so much, somebody very, very committed to policies that, I believe, will progress this country in the right direction. I think that’s what that was all about."

Sarah-centric.

An interesting term.

Greta Van Susteren asked Palin about 2012.

"You know, I have — faith is a very big part of my life," Palin said. "And putting my life in my creator’s hands — this is what I always do. I’m like, ‘OK, God, if there is an open door for me somewhere’ — this is what I always pray — I’m like, ‘don’t let me miss the open door. Show me where the open door is. Even if it’s cracked up a little bit, maybe I’ll plow right on through that and maybe prematurely plow through it, but don’t let me miss an open door.’ And if there is an open door in ’12 or four years later, and if it is something that is going to be good for my family, for my state, for my nation, an opportunity for me, then I’ll plow through that door … It would be very exciting to have an opportunity to serve in a greater capacity."

about the speech she wanted to give on election night.

"I had a speech that, you know, I was going to give that we’d worked on about a week," Palin said. "The speech was written in cooperation and conjunction with a couple of the speechwriters in the campaign — and had written that as an introduction to this great American hero.  And of course, we had two speeches in our back pocket … One was a concession speech that would introduce him, and it would do what John McCain just can’t seem to do for himself — bless his heart, because he’s not that kind of man — where I was going to brag him up and say, ‘You know, truly he’s an American hero, has faced great adversity, knows how challenges are overcome.  And let us — let us be thankful for this man, who with a servant’s heart, had offered himself up to…’"

"So that sounds like a good idea," interjected Lauer. "Why weren’t you allowed to do it?"

"I don’t know," said Palin. "It was a great speech because it also then, also said, ‘OK, but American voters have spoken, so now, let’s all come together. I know Senator McCain wants to lead in an effort of unity here in our nation, and let’s work with President-elect Obama and let’s go forward.’"

But she was told she couldn’t give the speech, Palin said.

"Somebody said no, they said that it would be unprecedented," Palin said, "that a VP candidate wouldn’t introduce someone in a concession speech. And you know, all I could say was –"

"Were you disappointed?" asked Lauer.

"A little bit because, again — not — not for me personally to get to be up there on the stage and give one last speech, but to be able to say, ‘This is an American hero. Let us be thankful for what he just offered our nation. Now, let’s all work together to support the new president,’" Palin said. "All I could think of was, well, even if it were unprecedented — and I haven’t done research to see if other VP candidates had done such an introduction of their presidential candidate, but, you know, I thought even if it was unprecedented, so what, you know. Geez, let’s do something a little bit out of the box there.

"But those were the type of shots that were called that I didn’t have control over," Palin said. "And in the end, though, that’s — that’s somebody else’s problem or business."

The Republican Party has no one to blame but themselves; they have lost touch with working people and conservative values a long time ago. Palin deserves some credit but they should be pointing a finger at themselves! At the end of eight years we have had out of control spending, more big government, corruption even the Democrats couldn’t match, poking their nose into matters that should be resolved on a state level, handing billions of tax payer dollars over to the Pharmaceutical Ind. by not negotiating Medicare drugs, wanting to tax our income we pay for health insurance, pandering to the extreme right religious groups for more laws and I could go on and on. Does that sound like conservative values? Those issues are why the Republicans lost but they can’t figure it out duhhh!

PLEASE I BEG PLEASE SHUT UP!!!
Can’t you just go away already. You have given the American people a huge headache with all of this talking
You now want to talk and talk however it is still about NOTHING. I do hope you run in 2010 so OBAMA will again be elected in a landslide.
I am justed amazed that you wanted to give a speech on the night you lost. WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE TO THINK WE WOULD WANT TO LISTEN TO YOU INSTEAD OF JOHN MCCAIN. Do you even have respect for the man who brought you to the ticket. Mrs. Palin you got what you deserved to stand on that stage and see what YOU and YOU Alone did to a proud American. I am one of thousands who’s vote changed because of your antics and stupidity.

I like Sarah Palin, but she is a pain to listen to, and even worse to read.
It almost feels like you’re reading a Paris Hilton interview.
She needs to learn how to talk like an educated person, and not go on these long, incoherent diatribes.
“But not me personally were those cheers for, but it was just for the representation of a woman on the ticket, a mom, somebody who loves this country so much, somebody very, very committed to policies that I believe will progress this country in the right direction.”
For heavens sake, what the [expletive] is she talking about???!

Is it just me or are there others who find the above “palin speak” very jarring for someone who wants to run for Presdient of US

I find it amazing that people want us to leave Sarah Palin alone however might I remind you she wont let us. She is everywhere!!!
She still thinks that she has what it takes to run the country ARE YOU KIDDING ME. In all of the post interviews does she talk about anthing other than herself or her husband. WHAT ABOUT OUR COUNTRY. It is not always about you Sarah Palin.
If you want to talk on TV 24-7 you will get feedback some might be positive but other and I predict alot will be what it is ENOUGH ALREADY.

McCain was a drag on the ticket. Palin was the only draw. McCain has been more concerned with what Democrats think of him than Republicans. He wanted to be seen as a good guy more than he wanted to focus on and promote his message. That is why he lost.
McCain has been honored and now it is time for him to go away.
Palin is the future and McCain unknowingly introduced America to a bright shining star that will eclipse him and the other old school Republicans in short time.
Watch how rabidly the Kos kids and paid Obama bloggers try to put her down, even now. You can sense the fear in their derision and vitriol. It’s almost funny thinking that Obama won the election and they still have nightmares about Governor Palin.
She will run again and she will win. That’s what keeps the left from enjoying their victory and sleeping well at night. Even Obama looks peaved when he speaks. There is a definite lack of joy in his demeaner. That will grow old fast.

Palin. When she was running for office she wouldn’t be interviewed. Now that she’s lost, she can’t close her mouth. It’s kind of sad. She is so self-absorbed that she doesn’t understand that her moment has passed. Forget about 2012, she’ll be lucky to hold on to the Alaska governorship.

Sarah is awesome!
Let’s face it. she is here to stay for long time. The Obama worshipers should look at the mirror, they were facing the same criticism now they are throwing to Sarah Palin; tho Obama was and is the darling on the press and that helped him ALOT.
But to all of you Sarah haters, many of the ones that were also trashing Hillary is time for you to let it go, don’t stress much about Sarah; because not matter what you said she will be in around us for long time. Just get use to it, ha ha. i am telling you for my own experience, I am a Hillary follower and now little by little facing reality that Obama is the next President.

McCain was a Democrat, and did whatever pleased the Kennedy’s. He did all he could to destroy the party and this woman’s future. Hopefully she will get her shot to run a campaign that she and the party can run from the start. It’s time for Republicans to run the Republican party!!! Let the RINO’s kiss Obama’s butt til they choke. Better they go down than the party. Sooner or later they will learn like McCain that Democrats elect Democrats! DUH! You HAVE to have a base and energize it. McCain lost because he embarrassed the party and did all he could to destroy Palin. They rewarded him by staying home. We’ve got 4 years. It’s time to bring the party back to where it belongs. Back in the hands of Republicans, thank you.

“Watch how rabidly the Kos kids and paid Obama bloggers try to put her down, even now.” Huh? I just checked Daily Kos and – nope – nothing on Governor Palin. Paid Obama bloggers? Nope again – active citizens, yet. It is the people who did not support Obama that just can’t understand that, yes, millions and millions of patriotic citizens who love America felt strongly that Obama was by far the best choice. Palin was a weird sideshow, with her unschooled ignorance of world affairs (not stupidity, as she is smart) and Christian Dominionism, a form of fascism. Her “base,” so to speak, is shrinking in this country.

Posted by: Go_Panthers | November 12, 2008, 11:14 am 11:14 am

When Ms. Palin stops promoting herself and her blather to any media outlet that will have her people will leave her alone. As long as she is even a remote consideration as a viable potential candidate for Pres. her vast shortcomings will continue to be publicly scrutinized, wich is a good thing. If she can’t stand up to scrutiny she does not belong on the public stage at the Presidential level.
I am another of the many thousands who had to change my vote because of her patently unqalified and utterly obnoxius presence on the McCain ticket.

She’s now open to interviews all over the place, but all are celebrity interviews, about her. Still nothing of substance. I suggest a public challenge that she sit for an in-depth TV interview, no questions barred, about foreign affairs, governments and leaders; the Constitution; the workings of our government, it’s policies treaties and laws, etc.
No way to wink her way through that.

I think if the GOP even considers Palin as a front runner for 2012 then they will be in for the same thing that happened now…a landslide loss. I do admire Palin for being a woman that has made a major step in the political arena and I’m glad McCain chose her. If he would have choosen someone else he may have had 200 electoral votes….LOL!! She stands no chance against Obama in 2012…She should was a major factor in why McCain lost and why people were concerned about his better judgement. He could have done soooo much better than her for a running mate. And the slanders that his team were making against Obama did not work this time. Tell his advisers that they are no Atwater.

I saw the whole Sarah Palin interview on Greta Sustren’s show (both one hour parts) That is not because I am a Sarah-centric, or Greta-centric for that matter, but because I get home at from work late so an hour 1am show fits into my schedule.
Gov Palin seemed to be as intelligent and articulate as your average state Governor. No more but no less.
Palin talked a lot about herself and her own experiences in the campaign, but it would have been impossible for her not to with the questions Greta was asking (Such as: When did you find out you were selected by Senator McCain as the VP candidate? How did you feel about the media treatment you received? Do you have plans for 2012?) Very few questions concerned policy, but at this point after the election, we already have the answers to those questions so why even ask?
She was most engaged when talking about the state of Alaska. I think 80 percent of the people on this board would vote for her as Alaskan Governor, if we could, after hearing her knowledge about Alaskan issues and passion for her state.
Palin implied there was a separate, steeper standard for woman candidates, which Greta didn’t ask her to expound upon with examples from the campaign, but said it was best to push forward rather then compain about them. The governor was also very complimentary toward Senator Hillary Clinton.
I came away from the interview thinking she did no worse than Senator Biden would have done in a similar interview. She is smarter than people give her credit for but has a tendency (like President Bush) to mangle her sentences while putting together an answer to an unanticipated question (as opposed to Obama who will incessantly “eh” and “um”, or Biden who would likely reply to such a question with an, “Are you kidding me?”).
I give Gov. Palin’s interview performance a grade of a B-. Not bad, but room for improvement on her communication skills which she seems capable of achieving. Would she be my preferred GOP candidate in 2012? Prior to the interview I would have said, “no”. Now, I would say I will have to get back to uou on that one.

The election is over and still the liberals are so caught up in Governor Palin. Amusing that so much energy is expelled in putting someone down, rather than a celebration of Obama winning the election.
Of course Palin’s level of visibility as a losing VP is historical and coverage of her is running on a par with Obama. Watch Palin use the gift McCain gave her. As she said, “This will not be for naught.”
The Democrats have Obama. The GOP has Palin, Romney, Pawlenty, and Jindal to name a few. Maybe that is where the fear is based. Obama, a one way train that can be easily derailed.

It doesn’t take an English language Phd to figure she was undecided whether to say, “it also then said”, or ,”it also said”. Things like this happen to people when making an answer on the fly. Different people handle language differently in those situations. Obama typically will “eh” and “um’ as he buys time to put the words together.
If Palin used “eh” and “um” like Obama does, she would undoubtedly be called stupid for it by all the people who hate her.
Tip for al: Using an isolated sentence, from a transcript of oral communication, is not a very fair way of judging a person’s skill.

Maybe I am wrong, because I avoided watching SP as much as possible. It seemed to me the times I could not avoid seeing her, she always wore the same style of skirt. I don’t know whether she picked out all those clothes or it was done for her, but at those prices, it seems there would have been more variety in the skirt styles. They were all pretty much straight, hip revealing, and as short as dignity allowed. Very flattering in a sexual way, and consistently so. This makes me think that Sarah Lou was very much involved in choosing those clothes and that they had been tailored to fit. (I studied advanced sewing and tailoring years ago.) These were high end designer labels from high end stores. Can you see models going down the catwalk on fashion week, and all of them in those tight skirts? That does not happen.

Common Sense,
Nobody forcing you to believe or either accepting her as your idol, but remember she is not a traditional politicians like most of the guys who controlled the Congress & Senate.
Correct, she is unknown hero from small city of Alaska but now a well known talk of the town public servant.
Her sincerity and beauty will electrify the youngs to be more vigilant, mature and patriotic.
Give her change to prove her gutz to lead the people and country beyond your expectation.
Don’t be judgmental by the book’s cover but feel the innerself of the concerned.

What other VP candidate has held the interest of the electorate for days going on weeks after being on the losing ticket?
If you hate her, you understand her power. If you love her, you understand her power.
She has withstood the continual onslaught of a vicious MSM in cohoots with the DNC. She survived and thrived in an election cycle where the Democratic ticket had unlimited funds, exposure and expressions of servile praise from every media outlet. She survived and thrived.
She is a rock star.

I could see her doing that to Ahmenijad or any other world leader. The Sarkozy prank showed just how stupid she really is. Laughing like a 16 yr old school girl.

How about they talk about what Bush is doing about this mess in his final days, instead of talking about this has been that never was (Palin).

Talk about Bush and Obama. My point is why s Sarah Palin newsworthy. Am I bashing Obama by asking what he plans to do about any of this. Bush is as good as gone. Obama called it a lame duck period himself. I would like to hear more beyond his press conference. How is this bashing him? Especially when I voted for him?

I heard today that she will run in 2012, God help us all. The GOP might like her but the rest of the country thinks is awful. She can stay in Alaska and keep lying to those poor people.

If Sarah Lou wants to get herself ready for 2012, she needs to work on her image. Her internal self is even worse than the external. I REALLY don’t want to go there.
I just wanted to present the evidence that she was indeed involved in the clothing purchases. One has to know a tiny bit about women’s clothing to see it.
Her fans just need to hope she stays out of jail long enough to run in 2012.

Matt Lauer asked Sarah Palin if her confidence was shaken after watching clips of the Couric interview. Palin’s eloquent answer:
“No, no, because uh, you know I’m sure that some of my impatience showed through in that uh, in that interview, um, I think it also showed though that certainly as a Washington outsider and as somebody not um, not uh, one to just, uh, I guess kinda play even the, the campaigning media game that is played in, in just repeating perhaps memorized lines in a, in an interview. Posted by: Pacific moderate | November 12, 2008, 2:04 pm 2:04 pm

I can only say that we are just now going to be ‘getting rid’ of another person who “prays to his god” to grant him EVERY PERSONAL ADVANTAGE IN LIFE, rather than praying for ‘the strength to do as much good’ as he could in bringing assistance to the millions of families here in America who need HELP in many areas of their lives. And yet, here comes Palin, exactly like Bush, who is ‘praying to her god’ that he will GRANT HER EVERY PERSONAL ADVANTAGE by ‘opening a door’ for her to slink into with her evil, vile and nasty messaging so she can once again incite more rage and hate to those lunatics in the GOP by making her our POTUS.
This country is ‘sick to death’ of her and her hateful, vile and evil campaign rhetoric. Rather than appearing on all the cable channels as she attempts to salvage her reputation, she really should be taking this time and go back to school. She needs to learn how to speak in concise and well-constructed sentences instead of massacring the English language. She also needs to learn most of the ‘general knowledge’ she lacks [that most of us learned in elementary and high school] about people, issues and events, whether current or historical. Perhaps she could learn some indisputable facts and true knowledge instead of just memorizing topics for the moment since that is not enough to fool most Americans if she wants to become POTUS.
The other topic of import is her family, particularly her children. It seems to me she needs to spend some QUALITY TIME with those children. The way her young daughter is always carrying the baby around is simply not right. Those children need a mom to teach them life lessons, be there when something bad happens and provide love throughout their growing up years, and I don’t see that happening between her and her children. That’s really sad for her children.
Until Palin can stop long enough to truthfully evaluate herself, to see her vile, nasty and evil campaign for what it was, she will NEVER LEARN that Americans WILL NEVER ACCEPT the bigotry, racism and use of vile descriptives to mark her opponents. That behavior is completely UNACCEPTABLE now and again in the future. That type of campaigning ended when Bush campaigned in 2004 and again in 2008 when Obama landslided McCain. We will NEVER accept it or anything similar again. America has grown up and come of age. If Palin can’t learn these things, she will remain exactly where she is – Alaska!

I need to make plans and I want to know what is going on. Clinton was a lot more clear in his intentions. As far as teh cabinet, all I am hearing is Bill Richardson should be SOS because he is Hispanic, Valerie Jarrett is talked about more than anyone and that is not cabinet position.
Some voters don’t have time to talk about Palin I didn’t vote for the woman. I voted for Obama, so can we have some news about what is going on. Unless Jwench you are too rich to give a damn about our economy that is n the tank and agree that palin is the bigger story.

If this was a month after the election I could see your posts. Just because you don’t get an hourly report, does nt mean that he is sitting on his ass not doing anything.
This is barely a week after the election. Some of Clinton’s appointments weren’t made until right before the inauguration. Clinton also wasn’t taking over an economy that was this bad.
He is sending a REPUBLICAN Jim Leach, Madeline Albright to the G20 meeting.
THe reason he is not going himself :
““There is one President at a time in the United States,” says Obama Senior Foreign Policy Advisor Denis McDonough. ”
I am middle class and I realize that he needs to take time to evaluate the current mess we are in and it takes more than a week to get plans together to tackle something like this.
If you expect everything to happen overnight, you are naive. They don’t have a magic fairy wand that they can say “poof” it’s fixed. We have not had an economy this bad since the 1920′s so they need to come up with concrete solutions and not bandaids.

All I ever heard from him was, “I can do that, I have done that, I know how to do that, I could do that, I have a plan to do that” and “fight, fight, fight, fight, fight, fight, fight, we never give up, we never give up, we never give up, we never give up”! There was NO MESSAGE!

Posted by: Josephine | November 12, 2008, 2:31 pm 2:31 pm

Jwench I never said I wanted an hourly report and stop trying to reduce my posts to hyperbole just because I asked what is being done by the Obama administration on the economy.
The economy will not turn around with he wave of a wand and no one said that. But for those of us living hand to mouth, we cannot wait until January 20th to know what is going on. Then comes the real problem of the debt and how it will be satisfied even as the economy recovers. Values in real estate will not return to normal levels until the consumption exceeds demand and since much of the demand was speculative, that will not be short term.
I want to know the scope of the Obama agenda. I voted for him and I am entitled to that.
Jwench you are more concerned with Sarah Palin. Why not let those of us that want to fix the economy ask the real questions of Obama?

What part don’t you get? He needs time to come up with REAL solutions and not keep putting bandaids on it. Would you be able to come up with concrete solutions in a week? I doubt anyone could. I just don’t understand how you think he can come out a week after the election and say this is what we are going to do.
If he reacts too quickly with a half baked plan then people will bash him for that. I want him to weigh all the factors and then make a decision, which like I said will take more than a week.
I can’t stand Sarah Palin and really could care less about her. She can drift back to the moose and snowbanks of Alaska never to be heard from again as far as I am concerned.

We HAVE NOT heard or seen the end of Sarah Palin. Hopfully, she will replace Ted Stevens as Senator from Alaska with herself. She needs to build a reputation for herself in Washington before a run in 2012 or 2016 and the senate is the perfect place to do it.

Sarah Palin is very power hungry. For political gains, she sold out her Trig the baby with Dawn Syndrome, Track the high school drop-out, and Bristol the very pregnant teenager, but that did not help at all. She does not want to go back to take care of the beautiful tundra. Come on Sarah Palin, your policy positions are contrary to Hilary Clinton’s so you will not get women to vote for you and your IQ is too low to get men to vote for you, so in conclusion you will never be ready to become the president of the USA.

The election is over. This is nothing but political gossip.
I mean, realy, Jake! If you’re going to post about Alaska, why don’t you ponder why Alaska’s voter turnout mysteriously declined by double digits, from 2004 – in fact, at 54% it was the lowest in the entire country! – which led to some rather startling initial electoral results, even though:
1. Its governor was on the GOP national ticket;
2. There were two hotly contested U.S. Senate and House races;
3. Political control of the state legislature hung in the balance;
4. The campaign sparked the largest political demonstrations and caucus gatherings in state history; and
5. Democrats had registered over 25,000 new voters.
That’s the immediate story in Alaska, Jake – it’s about ensuring that every vote is counted so that there’s no miscarriage of democracy, and not about promoting the misguided ambitions of the self-absorbed Gov. Palin.
Please do your job, Mr. ABC News’ Senior National Correspondent. If I want celebrity gossip, I’ll watch E! on cable TV, thank you very much.

Anybody expecting a quick fix of the current economic self-destruction is not thinking straight.
We may be seeing the end of the gross consumer society where Chinese goods are cheap to Americans and therefore over-consuming and waste are part of the life style.
I’m not sure the planet can sustain that kind of mindless consumption and waste any longer – and if that lifestyle collapses, along with it goes the economic system – until a totally new system develops. Probably based on high tech energy, vehicles, homes etc and home gardening, repair and so on.

I can’t possibly begin to tell you how much this woman makes my day!!! I just came out of an arduous meeting and BOOM! …a new Sarah Palin article to put a smile upon my face!!!
Listen… fasten your seat belts because baby doll ain’t goin’ nowhere! She has had a taste of the spotlight AND she likes it! It just astounds me how she speaks so authoritatively and really has no clue of what she is speaking about. Also, that, she doesn’t know doesn’t bother her! Mark my words, this will be a win strategy for her.
She now knows that she has popularity. It doesn’t matter if it is positve or negative (do you know they are actually talking over at TIME magazine about making this woman Person of the Year?) Anyway, her BIG test will be if she can raise money… and lots of it! If this happens; “well, they loaded up the truck and moved to Beverly…er Washington”
But, her major draw back (of which I don’t think she can overcome)is her lack of knowledge and thinking process. Oh, she will do enough to compete–might even learn french well! However, it won’t be enough She lacks vision. As the Sarah Palin Tour continues, its just been all about defending herself (of which she really can’t–How can you people support her??), and nothing of what she sees for America other than the standard canned Republican spiel. However, let het get a message and the classic gleam in her eye….
For those who think everyone is being too harsh on Sarah Palin, I encourage you to listen to a couple of her rally speeches…. Kharma can be a bitch!

When I showed up to vote on November 4th, I voted for change, and voted for Sarah Palin to go away. Why, please tell me why, a week after the election, I still have to see her face everyday on the TV, and online? I know I speak for millions of Americans, Sarah Palin, GO AWAY!!! The American people have spoken!

I find it nauseating to read Palin’s comments and suggestions for the leadership responsible for running the government. Fortunately, for the US, she lost the election; it would do her well to stop talking. She is not in a position to direct anyone to do anything. The media which pursues her post loss election interviews must be desperate for information. The country knows what she is capable of; and would never vote her in.

If the Republican party goes the way of Sarah Palin – they can permanently kiss moderate Republicans good-bye.

Posted by: Paige | November 12, 2008, 3:25 pm 3:25 pm

For someone who wants to do interviews left and right, she should be more articulate. She never seems to finish a sentence. She can’t seem to focus on the question given, and maybe its because she does not have the intelligence to answer the question. She fumbles, and seems to make up things along the way. I notice none of these interviews are asking real important questions…like political, social, economic matters. Forget about the clothes and why she didn’t get to say her concession speech. Give her some real questions. Palin has the audacity to state that Katie Couric asked her questions that ticked her off. Wow, if asking what type of newspaper does she read, ticks her off, I can’t imagine a diplomat from another country walking on eggshells for her. She really believes we can’t see through her ridiculous cover up of being…DUMB. Its amazing that smart, intelligent people think she is president material.
She must all think we want a joe sixpack, geez, you betcha kinda gal as the President. Pleeeeeease, get real.

RATINGS BABY! ON-LINE CLICKS!
She is a HUGE money making machine now for the media because the audience finds her so fascinating! I will speak for myself, I’m in awe over how someone so inept could make it this far. Also, given what we now know, why the Republican party and supporters felt that she was capable to run the country (I know it was McCain at the top of the ticket–but given his age…)

People wonder why people still talk of
Sarah Palin. It’s so obvious. We were scared out of our wits that she might one day be president of our country! We need to process that and try to make sense of it.
We were revolted by the prospect of having such an inarticulate, not especially intelligent woman leading our country. The world is complex and the issues facing us require someone who can think deeply, speak in complete sentences, listen thoughtfully and respond articulately. The fact that 25% of our country supports her is shocking. Something is terribly wrong , and prominent members of the GOP were aghast that McCain lost his soul when he chose her.

Posted by: MathMom | November 12, 2008, 3:54 pm 3:54 pm

Hahahaha…You silly libs will never learn. Your feeble attemtps to destroy Sarah Palin have failed. She will run in 2012 after Barry has made a mess of things and she will win! Just think, the only thing that really stands in the way of Sarah taking over is the slim chance that Barry will live up to the hype. Fat chance. Sarah Palin is the president in waiting. Four years of Barry will be way too many for most Americans.

Every time this women opens her mouth, lies just pour out. She is unbelievable!
So, the speech was written two weeks prior to losing, why then was McCain not aware of them before elction night?
And the discussion about the clothes? Please. She has said in one interview, that the clothes for her and family were just waiting for them at the RNC. What, did they come with a personal tailor waiting too?
Another time, she said that after she was picked, Nichole Wallace told her to go buy herself three suits. Contradiction? She says the clothes issue is “irrelevant”. I bet that $150,000.00 plus could have saved a few mortgages, huh?

Palin will never be President. There are not enough racists to vote for her kind of hatred, bigotry and ignorance.
Could you just imagine her trying to make it through a republican primary? The GOP are the nastiest of campaigners. Just the little we know about her, that probably just scratches the surface, is way too damaging already.
People watch her because she is like a bad car wreck. It’s such a tragedy, but you just can’t turn away from it.
(It’s also very amusing to try and see what will come out of her mouth next).
You know the old saying……….

Her ignorance astounds me that she was having a concession speech prepared when most of us know quite well that just the top of the ticket makes that speech. Had she never cared enough about a Presidential election to follow the process?
Some of you have it right, the woman is a sociopath. The danger of sociopaths is that they are on the surface very charming individuals.
We were indeed frightened of her until we knew we were safe from her. Now we can laugh and enjoy her absurdity.

Sarah Palin got 20 times the scrutiny from the mainstream media that Obama did. Why, because early on after her nomination by McCain, she was do enthusiastically greeted that she was labeled a game changer. Sensing that she might be what McCain needed to win against the beloved and adored Obama, the media started a smear campaign on her beginning with suggesting her downs syndrome baby was really her daughters child. It went down from there.
Funny how the media ignored the Reverend Wright connection until talk radio made an issue of it. No investigation of Obama’s drug use and even alleged drug dealing as a youth. Of course his connections (and their extent) to William Ayers were never investigated nor were Obama’s ties to Acorn.
Sarah Palin may or may not have been the right candidate for VP but at the least, she was subjected to scrutiny that far surpassed that of the man running for the most powerful office in the world. The media was in too much of a swoon to do anyting other than work to get him elected.

Maybe if she knew what she was talking about and didn’t act like a rabid pitbull, then maybe she wouldn’t have received that scrutiny. Most of the negative press was her own doing.
Here is a unknown woman to the lower 48 and she blasts on to the National scene acting like a rabid dog. I could see if it was somebody who actually held office on a National level and somebody who had a clue, but even then I think they would have the decency to not play dirty politics in the manner that she did.The comments she made about Obama were hateful, vile and just plain disgusting.

I personally have always disagreed with that but… Anyway, I beg of you to re-read what you have just posted; “Sarah may not be the most articulate person in the world…” She is a POLITICIAN for goodness sake! Part of her job is to effectively communicate her message! If elected, she has to use DIPLOMACY which requires effective, articulate communication. Her degree (LOL!) is in JOURNALISM which requires effective communication skills. She was a NEWSCASTER (LOL! This woman just keeps me entertained!) which requires effective communication skills.
What is it about this woman that you people are supporting???? Her pro-life stance? Interesting… since she had difficulty calling abortion hospital bombers (who can kill doctors and others) terrorists. But that’s okay.

She cant relate with diversity of people. 2. She doesn’t know a thing about Politics. 3. I have major problems with her saying she was to give a speech. Usually Vice Presidents do not challenge the Presidential candidate’s decision. I feel this is very unbecoming. Reveals she is a “diva” as she was called. She could paint with lots of sweetness, but still comes out same.
Also have major problems with her saying the hate mongering campaign speeches were fine. This lady was horrible. Crowd reaction was dangerous! Why would anyone want to vote for candidate who only promote hate???
I hope Sarah Palin just stays in Alaska. This lady would never vote for a ticket she might be on. I may be Republican, but I have no problem going to other side. She would be dangerous if ever elected.

It’s not the media fault that McCain didn’t let her do press conferences so they had to get the information were they could it’s their job to let us know what we’re getting for our leaders. Then some of the right wing think that Obama got a free pass but you never say he was in the media eyes every day for 21 months and they vetted him from head to toe and he also ran a great campaign so maybe the media didn’t have much to report other than good news. It’s her lack of qualifications for the job of commander in chief that sticks in my craw. how can McCain criticize Obama for lack of qualifications, and pick her as VP? one poster says we hate her because of her stand on abortion? Yet that, her religion, and the fact she is a women, seems to be her sole qualification for VP?. If the dems were smart they would have shown hidden clips of her church with some rolling around speaking in tongues.?(if really true)If she gets on the ballot in 2012, we may as well hand the election to the democrats(no matter how bad they do at running the country)

Before Gov. Palin came on the scene, none of you knew her, then right away you smeared her, belittle her and called her every name in the book.
She acomplished something, none of you will ever do.
Question: could you run for office?? Probably NOT
