I’m a HUGE fan of Olberman! I watch his show every night. Affleck was soooo funny, and to the point! Kudoes Ben – I’m sure that Keith loved it!

Ben Affleck was terrific, but the bit was too long. It lost some of its punch. Olbermann — it is truly an honor that SNL felt you are popular enough to caricature you. You are truly in the big leagues!

Otherwise I haven’t a clue as to what this skit is other than disgusting. What kind of a guy sits there and skews everysingle thing. The pointless rants are just as disgusting.

Olbermann and his huge ego must have hated this! This is a guy who was afraid to go to the republican convention and never had a contradicting opinon on his show.
He gets journalist from nbc and the new york times as so called objective journalist to agree with his delusional opinons. Who listens to someone who rants and screams for up to 15 minutes to make his point. If McCain does pull an upset maybe he will do us a favor and have a complete meltdown on the air. He almost makes Hannity sound reasonable! His obvious envy of fox’s ratings make him look like a child who didn’t get enough candy on halloween!

This best part of this will be watching Olberman try to pretend he thought it was funny too.
The only faint hope the Republicans think they have is to attempt to demonize Senator Obama and the Democrats as – communists, socialists, terrorists, racist, white haters, america haters, family haters, media darlings, immigrant facilitators, kool-aid drinkers, zombies, freedom stealers, etc.
It’s such a transparent and pathetic strategy, and it is the worst of American politics.
My advice to the Republican right wing is – you deserve to lose after the last 8 disastrous years in power – try to lose with a little dignity.
Olbermann said on Friday that he had seen Affleck’s rehearsal and thought it was hilarious. He seemed most worried about the possibility that the sketch might get cut, as they rehearse several more than the number that actually air.
I think he’s thrilled that Affleck obviously has seen the show quite a bit. He was so dead-on down to the little looks, that it’s obviously not something he learned about at the writers’ meeting.

Sorry Wade, I think Olbermann is one of the few television commentators who told the truth during the abuses and arrogance of the Bush and Cheney regime.
The rest of the media pretty much trotted along behind Bush and Cheney until it became obvious this was a losing proposition.
How can you caricature a caricature? KO is a hateful, pompous ### who has defined himself as the standard for journalism. He seems to have risen to power by bullying and threatening those who are afraid of his obvious mental illness. It saddens me that so many tolerate him let alone actively support him.
OMG- that was more than brilliant! I am not a fan of Olbermann, but I sincerely believe we need someone to balance out Fox and Olbermann is perfect for that.
Now Chris Matthews is another subject – he is the most obnoxious talk show host – he NEVER gives his guests time to speak – always talking over them.
Good parody, not great – overdoes some aspects, makes up some (living with mom) out of thin air.. but the mannerisms are well captured here.
As an Olbermann fan, I say..bravo!

Yes Olberman actually DOES exist and this skit was more on target than off.
The first time I saw the “real” Olberman thing,
I thought it WAS a SNL skit!

I used to adore Keith Olbermann and thought he was courageous to speak truth to power while calling out the Bush administration over the Iraq war. However, he started to eviscerate Hillary Clinton in March or April. At first I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. His reasoned and well-documented outing of Bush transitioned to viscious attacks on Hillary. I turned him off when he made a graphic reference to Hillary and another person going in to a room, and only one coming out. The implication was that Hillary would be wiped out by this person. Why and how he sold out to Obama is something I would really like to know. Wonder what they have on him?
