So this means Obama will lose Virginia? Rainy weather usually keeps the Dem demo voters out of the polling places, so McCain’s rural conservatives should be enough to carry the state for him.

Obama holds his rallies despite the rain and tens of thousands of people are there with him, while McCain cancels his events due to the rain, sounds discouraging for his supporters. I think McCain should be more worried about the bad weather in battleground states.

Bankrupt coal mines and Electricity rates will sky rocket!! Obama is horrible!

Obama, Jan 2008:
“If somebody wants to build a coal power plant they can, it’s just that it will bankrupt them because they are going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that’s being emitted,” Barack Obama said to the San Francisco Chronicle in January.

A profile in political courage this is not. Given his recent gaffe on redistributionism, though, it’s probably smart. ABC’s Jake Tapper tried to get Obama to talk about his plans for the economic rescue plan, but Obama refused:
JT: What would you tell your Treasury Secretary to do differently with the $700 billion?
Obama: We’re on a tarmac.
JT: Why don’t you have a press conference?
BO: I will. On Wednesday.
Remember when the media screeched over Sarah Palin’s lack of press availability after the convention? Neither Obama nor Joe Biden have taken questions from the press in weeks. If Palin’s fortnight of preparation somehow revealed her unreadiness for higher office, what does this say about Barack Obama?

Obama, Jan 2008, SF Chronicle.
“The problem is not technical, uh, and the problem is not mastery of the legislative intricacies of Washington. The problem is, uh, can you get the American people to say, “This is really important,” and force their representatives to do the right thing? That requires mobilizing a citizenry. That requires them understanding what is at stake. Uh, and climate change is a great example.
You know, when I was asked earlier about the issue of coal, uh, you know — Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket. Even regardless of what I say about whether coal is good or bad. Because I’m capping greenhouse gases, coal power plants, you know, natural gas, you name it — whatever the plants were, whatever the industry was, uh, they would have to retrofit their operations. That will cost money. They will pass that money on to consumers.”

America can not afford a Marxist to throw it all away for all of us. Obama would like to not only bankrupt Coal industry, and electricity, but also many many more diligent business owners like Joe the plumber. It is way too dangerous to have someone not vetted to get into the White House by his, in my opinion, not that great speeches. “A ideological…” should have been “An ideological…” Obama makes mistakes in speeches that high school students do not make. I can overlook that if a president make a few English mistakes. but it’s a shame that SPEECHES are the only thing that Obama’s got. He can not be America’s president. He will ruin this country. I am making sure to vote for McCain/Palin on Tuesday. And I will not take the day off as Obama so disrespectfully suggested. He wants all businesses and their owners to suffer…think about who will pay his heavy taxes for the government to hand out social welfare checks!

I will vote Obama in – I have been waiting for government hand out all my life, and he will make that happen for me. Why should I work hard? Own business? Let Bill Gates and Warren Buffet pay 60%, 70%, even 90% taxes, so you and I don’t have to work for a living. They are capitalists and deserve to spread their wealth to us.

The Last One:
The final Gallup 2008 pre-election poll — based on Oct. 31-Nov. 2 Gallup Poll Daily tracking — shows Barack Obama with a 53% to 42% advantage over John McCain among likely voters. When undecided voters are allocated proportionately to the two candidates to better approximate the actual vote, the estimate becomes 55% for Obama to 44% for McCain.

Nancy – Why is the Gallup poll “like Acorn’s fraudulent registration of dead people and prisoners to elect Obama.”?
Did a dead person vote? Now that WOULD be election fraud.
btw – great new book – HOW TO RIG AN ELECTION by Allen Raymond is available at Amazon. He worked for the GOP and helped get BUSH into office. Talk about being “in cahoots to steal an election from its sacred process.” Those darn Republicans.

nancy the polls just like the msn are trying to direct public opinion instead of reflecting it.
if they can demoralize us, we quit, we don’t vote, we give up-the obama game plan. don’t fall for it. have more faith in the american people than in the polls.

It didn’t take more than a couple of postings to expose which side “just vote” is on, did it?
“Just vote”, answer the question about ACORN’s rigging this election. Your rhetoric about “but someone else at some other time was also rigging an election” has no bearing on ACORN’s rigging this election. If you don’t understand my question, then go back to take LOGIC 101. Stop pretending to be interested in the democracy process, yet wanting to use others’ rigging an election (even if it happened) to justify Obama’s rigging an election.

Weather is fine for an election here in Florida.. Obama supporters are out in force. Will be out working the voters until the polls close.. conversion rate has been outstanding, and quite easy. Just show them the differences in what each candidate would do for the country and Obama becomes the clear choice. Right tax policy. Right health care plan. Right combination of intelligence and rational thought. Right foreign policy stance. What else could you want in a great leader?

Posted by: FL for Obama | November 3, 2008, 12:59 am 12:59 am

Nancy – You seem quite proud of yourself.. It’s a bit difficult to follow a posted Gallup poll into what you dove into. ACORN is a group of community organizers that assist low-income and disabled people in their community with affordable housing, better schools, healthcare, etc. ACORN has also been involved in the Gulf Coast Recovery.
ACORN pays people to go our and register new voters. Sometimes the people they hire, take advantage of ACORN and sit in a library with a phonebook and just make up names so they can get paid.
1. No one is “rigging” the election.
2. ACORN turns in the forms w/the registrations Flagged that are an issue
3. It is ONLY voter fraud if MICKEY MOUSE actually shows up to vote and gets to vote.
4. The damage has been done to ACORN by the people they hired and the money they are out.
Nice smear job though..

Let Bill Gates and Warren Buffet pay 60%, 70%, even 90% taxes
***
Not even remotely close!
Tom Brokaw interview with Buffet:
Tom: You’ve talked about in your own office, for example, you pay a much lower tax rate with all of your wealth than, say, a receptionist does.
Warren: That’s exactly right, Tom, and I think the only way to do it is with specifics. In our office 15 people cooperated in a survey, out of 18, I didn’t make anybody do it. And my total taxes paid, payroll taxes plus income tax, mine came to 17.7 percent. The average for the office was 32.9 percent. There wasn’t anybody in the office, from the receptionist on, who paid a lower tax rate. And I have no tax planning, I don’t have an accountant, I don’t have tax shelters. I just follow what the U.S. Congress tells me to do.
—-
As for the other?
—-
And to further prove his point, Buffett has challenged .. he’s offered a million dollars to charity to any of the Forbes 400 richest people who can show on average that they pay a higher tax rate than their secretaries pay, but so far, he’s had no takers.

Tax Man,apparently you haven’t heard the news.Biden has said that no one under 150,000 will see a tax hike. But I thought it was 200,000?They are not going to lower anyones taxes. They wil continue to lower their standards of “Wealthy” until everyone is in it.Then they will take the money and give it to illegal immigrants.Who will be able to come and go as they please.I am tired of Obama and Bidens flip flopping, tired of their talk of Change(they want to “change the government” but nobody stops to think that it is the POLICIES that control taxes and such. Not the government itself),and tired of the socialism they want to force on us.

Maybe because it’s true that anyone making less than $150K would get a tax cut.. just like it’s true that anyone making less than $200K would as well. The two are not mutually exclusive, no matter how you would like to believe otherwise.
I know it’s a difficult subject for you.. economics require at least a high school education with some math skills. Of course, if you are just trying to be obtuse and find reasons to justify your existance, spin spin spin baby! It will all be over soon.

Regarding tax cuts, Biden said: “It should go to middle-class people, people who are making under $150,000 a year.”
Your claim that he said those making $150K were wealthy and would see a tax hike is simply a lie and apparently a deliberate attempt by you or your ‘source’ to twist the truth.
You-tube has it if you care to visit.. doubt you will though. Spin it how you like, the rest of us know the truth.
**
And I could ask you how you justify supporting a Baby Killing
**
Dont.. and neither does either candidate. If instead, you are simply referring to abortion, then yes, I am pro-choice. I don’t think the government should tell a woman what she should or should not do and that it is a matter between herself and her doctor.
**
Anti Gun
**
Nope.. I and Obama fully supports the 2nd amendment (he is a constitutional law expert and has fought his whole life to uphold the constitution). I guess you bought into the NRA lies that they are currently being held liable for.. not surprising.
**
Pro Gay Marriage
**
Good for him.. so is the majority of the country.. homophobic are we?
**
Military Cutting
**
Absolutely! Defense spending is over half our budget. Times have changed.. so must our defense strategy.. in case you missed it, spending billions on fighting 1500 Al-Qaeda members is kind of self defeating, and multiple studies have shown that military force rarely works in ridding ourselves of these pests. We could have had a military ten times the size we did on 9/11 and it wouldn’t have stopped those 19 individuals. Maybe you would like to read recent congressional testimony to the Armed Forces Committee in September regarding exactly this subject:
http://www.rand.org/pubs/testimonies/CT314/index.html
**
Tax Raising
**
Yup.. to less than it was under Clinton for those making more than $250K.. It amazes me that people think we can continue on our spending spree without paying for it.. if you support our unprovoked invasion of Iraq, then you should pay for it. If you supported the largest government reorganization since WWII that is costing us $50 billion a year, then you should pay for it (and lets just ignore the fact that it has made things worse, not better).
I actually have a good solution to this.. I think that at the end of a presidents term, if that president raised the national debt, then the amount it was raised should be calculated, and those who voted for that president should have their taxes raised to pay for what they inflicted on the country, while those who didn’t vote them into office would continue along with our reduced tax rates.
Might give you pause this election and who you would vote for. The tax policy center estimates that each candidate, when looking at their tax plan, health plan and other spending proposals, has estimated that McCain would raise the national debt by $10.9 trillion over 10 years, while Obama would raise it by $5.4 within the same period. That of course doesn’t include McCains answer to the ‘pre-existing’ condition problem with his health plan, which would tack on an additional $1 trillion. And try to ignore the fact that Obamas health plan would be more efficent, allow more Americans to get coverage (47% of the currently unemployeed compared to 7% at peak under McCain), and would save businesses an estimated $140 billion a year in tax savings.
Obama has a much better chance at closing the gap between spending and revenue generation, particularly since McCain wants to spend more and collect less taxes to pay for it… He will simply continue us down that merry path set forth by Bush, spending us into depression. What a good plan!
As for your degree, good for you.. Depending on where you went to college and if you went for a PhD program, I might have just been one of your professors. Although, you are in the minority, since the more educated are voting Obama for very valid reasons that seem to escape you. Do you by chance have a Journalism degree :)
In the mean time, spin spin spin baby.. it will all be over soon!

Ahhh, but Obama says the middle class is 200K and under(which is lower than what he originaly said)and that everyone above middle class is wealthy and will get a tax increase. So that would mean they lowered who is wealthy AGAIN.And first of all I desrcibe “aborting” a baby as it is being born baby killing.I do not object to it(abortion)if the mothers health is in grave danger. But any complications are normally spotted in the 9MONTHS BEFORE BIRTH!If they are not then it would be malpractice or negligence. There is absolutely no use for PBA,period. He voted for two Gun Bans,I would call that anti gun.If you don’t I think you need to go look up the meaning of BAN.No,most americans describe marriage as between a man and a woman.Go look at polls or ask your neighbor. And I am Christian,I do not approve of being gay at all and think that Marriage is between MAN AND WOMAN,plain and simple. As do most americans.Apparently you do not know the size of Chinas military, how bout russias? There are people out there who want us destroyed who are not just an “Orginization”.Iran,North Korea,Syria,Venezula,China,Russia and others ring any bells? Therefore cutting the military is a bad Idea.trowing away our nuclear detterant while russia and everyone else build more is suicide.Obama is for it.And if you call invading a dictatorship that had WMDs(“Yellow Cake”,VX,Mustard Gas and probably old russian nukes)unprovoked(he declared war on us and said he would destroy us multiple times)you are denser than I thought.Bill Clinton said he wouldn’t raise taxes too. Also said a lot of stuff about the middle class. And I can say I’m a martian, does that make me one?He can say anything, his record proves he votes for higher taxes. And I would like to see those valid reasons,I don’t have PhD and would have known if my Teacher was as dense as you.I certainly hope Obama pays you extra to spew this crap.

They all support Barack Obama..so if he is a socialist then these people are probably socialist too! When I read everyday the list of smart people(former Gov’t officials who are well respect in this country and beyond) who support Obama I cannot help but give the man my support. Obama/Biden 08!

Good greif stanley were to begin,I guess I’ll go by when you said them.Unless you count Umm…umm…umm…Change…and…and..and…to be straight then that is wrong.Bill Cosby is against him, that make him a rascist?IMPERIALIST!?That is what the Commies(USSR)called america.Uggh, how can anyone suport a socialist? My mind hurts trying to figure out the logic you use to make your decisions.Tax Idiot,I did not use rhetoric, you did.I asked anyone posting those questions.I make Valid points and ask you to counter them and you start insulting. You and the majority of obama supporters don’t try and answer anything. You insult and insult until people get tired of you and log off so you can then bash them and feel good about trying to vote yourself more money.Ben Franklin said people like you would destroy this country.I agree 100%,trying to vote for someone just because you think you’ll get more money under them is as unamerican as you can get.You make no points and can’t answer how almost no experience trumps Executive experience when running for an executive office.Won’t explain how he is Pro Gun when he voted anti gun.I would assume right now that he is paying you to keep this up.If you looked at everything there is no way you can call voting for an Inexperienced socialist an informed decision.I certainly hope you actually consider what I’ve said.Although I know you will continue blindly following Obama.I am Obama for Latrine Cleaner ’08 signing off.

We live in Missouri and I cannot imagine the weather that would keep my eighty-five year old mother from the polls. She uses old common sense and is voting for Obama. ……………

So this means Obama will lose Virginia? Rainy weather usually keeps the Dem demo voters out of the polling places, so McCain’s rural conservatives should be enough to carry the state for him.

Better get used to walking in the rain.
You won’t be able to afford gas and you probably won’t be able to afford a car much longer. You won’t have a job unless you are already on welfare or in the lower income ranks and then jobs will be “created” just for you. You MIGHT still have a house, but you won’t be able to afford electricity much less oil to heat and light it.

“Obama voters will follow him off a cliff like LEMURS.”
If you are going to use cliches get them right. The correct animal is the lemming.
I would be careful using that analogy though since it more accurately describes many (but not all) of the original Bush/Cheney/McCain followers who have been following them since 2000 into disasterous wars and economic ruin and STILL want to follow them over the edge. Please look up. Tomorrow may be your last chance to change course.

Dr Sanity posted A PINCH OF REALITY, found within the pages of the UK Guardian:
You have to pinch yourself – a Marxisant radical who all his life has been mentored by, sat at the feet of, worshipped with, befriended, endorsed the philosophy of, funded and been in turn funded, politically promoted and supported by a nexus comprising black power anti-white racists, Jew-haters, revolutionary Marxists, unrepentant former terrorists and Chicago mobsters, is on the verge of becoming President of the United States. And apparently it’s considered impolite to say so.
