Biden Jumps on Cheney’s McCain Endorsement
ABC News Matthew Jaffe reports: Aspiring vice-president Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., jumped on current vice-president Dick Cheney’s praise today for Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., citing it as "proof" that McCain would continue the Bush administration’s “failed” economic policies.
"If you ever had any doubt about John McCain and whether he’d continue the Bush policies, you can put them to rest now," Biden said at Marion Harding High School, home of the Presidents, in Marion, Ohio.
"Just today I watched on the bus coming over on the television I have on the bus. Just today, vice-president Cheney came out and endorsed John McCain," the Delaware lawmaker said as the crowd booed. “Folks, if you need any more proof…"
Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., is also set to pounce on Cheney’s endorsement in a speech later today in Pueblo, Colorado.
The Republican campaign, however, attempted to focus on the contrast between McCain and Biden’s Buckeye State swings in the past two days.
"Less than 24 hours after John McCain energized thousands of Ohioans, Joe Biden lulled his way through today’s speech, seemingly accepting his position as a drag on the Democrat ticket," said McCain-Palin spokesman Ben Porritt in a statement.

McCain fought against Cheney on torture and said negotiating with him on torture was like negotiating with bonnie and clyde.
Cheney can’t stand McCain and is trying to hurt him.
McCain had Cheney removed as the negotiater on torture dealing with the senate.
McCain demanded the white house stop sending Cheney.
McCain used to get into arguments with Cheney about torture.

What more evidence do you need when you see the gun in the hands of the defendant while he is standing over the victim. McSame will destroy the country if he is allowed to carry on with the same old policies of Bush/Cheney for four more years. Not only our economy, when the deficit will more than double, we will owe more to China, India and the Saudis, and on the international scene, we will be the “pariah”, much more so than Mugabe is now. If you love our country, we must reject the same old McSame.

I used to support Sen. Obama, but Bill Clinton said Sen. Obama’s response to the financial crisis was to say to his advisors, “tell me what is right, and I will sell it.” That’s not leadership. Sen. Obama thinks the Office of the President isn’t the Office of the Chief Executive but the Public Relations department. Sen. McCain has said he would have no office for his political advisor in the White House. Not only is Sen. Obama going to house David Axelrod in the White House, he’s going to put him in the Oval Office itself.
Barack Obama and Joe Biden like to criticize, that’s all they do, as if they can do it better. I’d like to see them try, but we the American voters won’t give them the chance.

I honestly can’t see why anyone wants to vote for a Republican in this day in age? They are so out of touch with middle America and our values that its comical and yet disturbing.
People are still tricked into thinking that the Republican party is the best for America. They are not. Pulling the lever for a Republican especially someone like a John McCain is like shooting yourself in the feet.
Open up your wallet and look inside. If you have less money than what you had 8 years ago, its time to vote for Obama. His far and away the better candidate for our economy and middle America. He cares more about us all and he will be a very good president that will lead us out of this mess.
A vote for McCain is really a vote for another failed Bush term. He really doesn’t have any solid economic policy whatsoever except to give more tax breaks for the rich and hope that it trickles down to the middle class — which obviously hasn’t worked since every Republican president has used it. Don’t be fooled and vote with your wallet. Obviously the choice is none other than Barack Obama.

Cheney wants McCain to win because they’re both members of the Project for a New American Century ~ you know, the guys who are planning for a fifth reich. Cheney doesn’t see his endorsement as hurting his fellow PNAC-er, he actually thinks that people still like him and will be motivated to vote for McCain because of his endorsement. People who aren’t impressed with Cheney are likely voting for Obama anyway, so he isn’t doing McCain any harm. He’s just causing people to laugh at him.

Someone here says,”Mr. Obama, a serial liar”
Funny, I think the exact same thing about McCain! He will say anything to get elected. For example, he repeats over and over and over that Obama will raise (your) taxes. But Obama has said over and over and over that “taxes will be LOWER for people making under $250,000, which represents 95% of the population. The evidence is there. Check out the calculator on Obama’s website.
This is merely one example. There are 50 more.

here’s one for you…did you know Governor Palin called Cheney over a year ago for advice on the natural gas pipeline? you know… the one that she paid Transcanada $500 mill up front for (non-refundable)…the one that she didn’t allow competitive bids on but awarded to a non-American company whose lobbyists work in her administration? The one that offers no plan to get the gas to the lower 48 (just Asia)…but coincidentally ends in the Alberta Tar Sands (the source of oil shale – the most environmentally devastating of all methods of oil extraction – but one which suddenly seems to be quite profitable for oil companies?)…Didn’t know that? Seems like SHE’S pretty chummy with Cheney….and like she wants to adopt his self-given “extra” POWERS AS vp…

Cheney doesn’t like McCain and McCain has stood up to him several times in the past. But McCain has changed and has refused to speak out against the wrongs of the current administration since he started running for office. If Cheney is endorsing McCain either he believes that change is real and McCain will continue the Bush-Cheney administration or he is trying to sabotage McCain and put Palin in a position to run for president in 2012. Obviously Palin could be relied on to award contracts to Halliburton and other firms run by the Republican establishment. And could be manipulated, as Bush has been, to declare war and follow the neo-con agenda as directed.

WHY I AM VOTING FOR SEN. OBAMA SO AS TO FURTHER THE AGENDA OF DR. RON PAUL
October 30, 2008
SUMMARY
I love and respect Dr. Ron Paul and Ms. Carol Paul. They are wise, loving and courageous.
I am voting for Senator Obama because if I vote for my candidate of choice, Dr. Ron Paul, we might see a repeat of the last election and end up with a warmongering, inarticulate, Republican warmongering President who never really had to live in my shoes as a member of the struggling middle-class.
I believe that the American People are slowly becoming wise enough to see through the blatant manipulation of election results by the mainstream media that is owned and controlled by big business and by the two reigning political parties.
I am confident that by the next Presidential election in 2012 that the majority of American Citizens will know about:
1) the beliefs and record of Dr. Ron Paul;
2) the weakness of our present two party system; and
3) the existence and party platforms of other alternatives such as Green, Constitution and Libertarian parties. I am confident that the REVOLUTION Dr. Ron Paul started against the big business controlled media and two reigning political parties will continue to benefit our nation for the greater good.
MY RATIONALE
Socialist Universal Health Insurance
I say – BRING IT ON! Our present health care system benefits big business and illegal aliens, not the American citizen or the American health care providers. I have lived without health insurance and I know from personal experience that the present system degrades the health of American Citizens on a daily basis. Once all Americans have health care – without the huge glut of illegal aliens – we can consider other options as Dr. Paul suggests. I see it as a possible evolution from where we are now to where we and Dr. Paul wants us to be.

I have health insurance and it is still too expensive to go to the doctor. So I am out the premiums and still have the problem of not seeing the doctor. However, if you think Socialized healthcare is the answer you are sadly mistaken. You might want to read about some of those places that have socialized medicine and look at all the problems they have. They pick and choose who can have the procedures and medicines they need. You are not guaranteed care just becuase there is socialized medicine. Wise up people.

Biden is definitely a plus for the ticket. The Republican spin is born of insults that don’t stick no matter how many kitchen sinks they throw. The plumbing is good and Republican garbage flushes or is churned up by the garbage disposal.
Cheney’s endorsement, on the other hand, was a formality that ‘reminds’ us that McCain is Bush and Palin is Cheney. Cheney/Palin dupe squad questing their best for Haliburtan and the AIP.

People didn’t immigrate to northern cities by the millions because the government was giving them hand outs-they just weren’t back then. They came to get jobs that rich people had available so they could get even richer.
I don’t understand why that simple bit of logic escapes the Socialists.
How many jobs have Socialists created in this economy? Not one. They create nothing, but rather seek to leech off of those they view as immoral for being successful. Some of them are, but I don’t think the average person who is trying support their families and move ahead cares that their employers are despised by Marxists.
Tax the rich unfairly and they’ll liquidate and shelter their money elsewhere.
The alternative is to have the State accumulate the wealth. And we trust the politicians to handle that? Since when?
You can only ‘spread the wealth’ if there is wealth, and you can only spread it until there is no more to spread. Diluting wealth does us no good. It takes capital to expand business and create jobs.
We’ve lived through this cycle before. We start to get ahead a little bit and WHAM-the IRS is ordered to dig deeper into our pay checks…because the politicians are pressured to spend more on social programs. Some are good, some just don’t work, but aren’t going anywhere because of special interest groups. If poor people didn’t exist, the Communists would create them. At the very least, they see to it that they stay poor so their politics can survive.
These Dems and Liberal Republicans always think it’s ‘the other guy’ whose going to pay, never themselves.

Birdy, you really need to get out of your cage or strait jacket and live a little.

Pretty sure that even if McCain loses, you’ll be hearing that cackle again four years from now (well, three actually).

Mr. Obama, a serial liar, is spreading all over Mr. Biden. I used to believe Mr. Biden, but he lies too much like, with, and for Mr. Obama.

Here’s one bit of US Constitutional law for you, child:
Torture is a war crime. It is a war crime committe4d by WW II NJapanese and Nazis. A war crime committed by such Communists as Mao and Stalin and Pol Pot. A war crime committed by non-Communists such as Hitler, Saddam Hussein, and the Bush*t criminal enterprise.
Torture cannot be made legal. Any effort to make it legal is also illegal.
Bush/Cheney, and the Republicans, engaged in the war crime of torture while they controlled all three branches of gov’t. In so doing, they brought your country down to the level of such as Saddam Hussein.
Neither Obama nor Biden were in control of that anti-American/Constitutional process. Are you for voluntarily giving a moral victory to Osama bid Laden — that the US tortures Muslims — or are you for rule of law and sanity?
The decision, and which way you vote, is yours. Think: what we as a country do tells the rest of the world they too may do. If we torture, so can everyone else. And that means they can torture US.
What’s your vote? Stupidity? Or national defense? Bush/DCheney are about torture.

I doubt Palin will have a future in politics.. she will be lucky if she still has a job in Alaska when she returns in November. People don’t take kindly to their elected officials abusing power and breaking ethics laws. And now that the investigation has been expanded to other alleged ethics violations and to members of her staff, who knows what will turn up.
Maybe we can send her to Iraq. Although, they probably don’t want her there either.

I just have 2 words for the Bush/Cheney/McCain/Palin mob – Two Days. Thats when we will stop hearing lies and distortions from the most dishonorable, disgusting and miserable campaign in the history of democracy anywhere. Calling them stupid and inept is too mild.

What McCain needs is President Bush going on TV and talking about his friend John McCain and how McCain will continue the heroic legacy of the Bush administration. How he believes McCain will continue the strides Bush has made to spread the Bush initiatives for democracy and the American ideals world-wide. Bush needs to to this for McCain and cinch this election (for Omama that is).

Where’s George W? Normally the sitting president is on the stump trying to get someone elected.
Has he been asked to stay home and keep his mouth shut?
Posted by: Tom. Tescher | November 2, 2008, 8:46 am 8:46 am
No, George W. has been so maligned by the obnoxious Liberals and the press so many of them belong to he knows it will not help McCain but rather hurt him.
Torture? What torture? If you want to learn about torture go online and see the stuff that was done to people under the Roman Catholic Inquisition-THAT’s torture!
You Libs still want to equate violent terrorists to common criminals over here that, BTW, you’ve been coddling and feeling sorry for for at least a hundred years now.

Yahoo I can hardly wait taxes, taxes and more taxes is what we will see. The MYTH that both parties are proposing on taxes is just that. The tax base is contracting in this country. States and local goverments are in a pinch . The jobs that went to China and India aren’t coming back. Like setting up your household budget on the overtime or bonuses you make each year and then losing that income. The definition of rich will change after the election were already being warmed up 150k, 120k.
Taxes, Taxes, and more Taxes are what we will see.

birdy,
your dog is running for cover, lets see if you watch Sen. Biden on the campaign, he looks like he will bite your dead off if you come to close. Red, angry and just plain mean.
Good for you if Sen. Obama/Sen. Biden win, hope you have a secure job, or you will be looking for one come January 2009. Ask a rich person how he became rich and then ask a poor person how come he is still poor. The answer might surprise you.
Vote for the underdog he will save the day.
Vote, Vote, Vote

I would suggest to Mr. Obama, and his supporters, that they read an incredible book called “The Virtue of Selfishness” written many, many years ago by Ayn Rand, a powerful philosopher. She clearly delineates why “selfishness” is a virtue.
To put her philosophy simply, “Selfishness is a Virtue” because if one thinks of and takes care of one’s family and one’s self, FIRST and is happy with one’s family and one’s life, one is much, much more likely to want to go out and make the world happy, too. One is much, much more likely to want to go help others through their difficult times and to get them to a point where they, too, can feel ready to help others in the same way they have been helped.
Yes, “Selfishness is a Virtue.”
Forcibly taking from those who have worked hard and earned what they have is not.
“Do not ever say that the desire to “do good” by force is a good motive. Neither power-lust nor stupidity are good motives.” (Ayn Rand)
Obama Says Tax Foes ‘Selfish’

Sen. Barack Obama told a crowd in Missouri yesterday that those who don’t want to pay higher taxes to help fund his redistributionist policies are “selfish.” In a long defense of his tax policies, which have come under withering criticism in recent days, Obama blamed Sen. John McCain, Gov. Sarah Palin the McCain campaign for lauding those who resist higher taxes. Obama said that McCain and Palin were, “making a virtue out of selfishness.”
“The reason that we want to do this, change our tax code, is not because I have anything against the rich. I love rich people! I want all of you to be rich. Go for it. That’s the American dream, that’s the American way, that’s terrific.
The point is, though, that — and it’s not just charity, it’s not just that I want to help the middle class and working people who are trying to get in the middle class — it’s that when we actually make sure that everybody’s got a shot…everybody is better off. All boats rise.
John McCain and Sarah Palin they call this socialistic. You know I don’t know when, when they decided they wanted to make a virtue out of selfishness.”
Sen. Obama’s explanation is reminiscent of his conversation with Joe Wurzelbacher, in which he said that his tax plan was not intended to punish success, but to make sure, “everybody who is behind you – that they’ve got a chance at success too. I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.”
The problem for Sen. Obama is that he has promised “tax cuts” for 95% of Americans. Close to 40% of Americans already pay no federal income tax. Obama proposes to give them “refundable tax credits” of $500 to $1000. That leaves no way around the fact that Obama wants to increase taxes to give money to people who don’t pay taxes. Americans are the most unselfish and charitable people in the world, but they resent being forced to contribute. They instinctively reject the notion that the government should take from one group to give to another. But Sen. Obama’s tax plan would use the power of the federal government to do just that. Americans have every reason to be suspicious of Sen. Obama’s tax plan. And they should not have to be called names for asking questions.

“McCain has just been endorsed by the most America-hating terrorist to ever inflitrate the American government.”
Obama endorsed McCain? That is HUGE news! Does that mean Obama is dropping out of the race?
Who were people expecting Cheney to endorse? Ralph Nader?

Janice,
It seems that you carry a lot of hatred in your heart. Both McCain and Obama are qualified to serve as President.
It is not necessary to contribute to the hate mongers agenda. Rise above it, vote and support whoever wins.
