Biden to Spend Election Eve With World Champion Phillies

ABC News’ Matt Jaffe reports: Sen. Joe Biden, D-Del., hopes to win big on Tuesday, so it is only appropriate that on the eve of Election Day, the Democratic vice presidential nominee will appear at his last rally of the campaign season with the World Series champion Philadelphia Phillies, as announced today by Biden’s spokesman David Wade.

Biden and the ballplayers will come together at an under-the-lights rally Monday night in the City of Brotherly Love.

The Delaware senator is a Phils fan, but not as much as his wife Jill, who attended Game 5 of the series Wednesday night, when the Phillies beat the Tampa Bay Rays to win their first World Series in 28 years.

Biden missed the game due to his late-night flight from Florida to Missouri, but gave two thumbs up to reporters when his charter jet landed in St. Louis.

Earlier Monday, Biden will hit the Show-Me State once again, starting his last day on the trail in the key battleground state of Missouri before heading east to two other crucial states, Ohio and then Pennsylvania.

The Blue Hen lawmaker will spend Election Eve at his Wilmington home, voting in Delaware on Tuesday before finishing the day in Chicago with the man at the top of his ticket, Barack Obama.

I used to support Sen. Obama, but did you see his newest ad where he brags about his Buffett (Communist) and Powell (black) endorsements, while criticizing Sen. McCain for getting Cheney’s (VP)? if you want to talk about earning an endorsement from someone you supported 90% of the time, how about, Sen. Obama earned the endorsement of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright. For the last 20 years, he’s been stuffing his Trinity United Church of Christ full of children of the future of the South Side of Chicago, and indoctrinated them in hate and anger towards all of America and all Americans. Congratulations!

Any info on which players will attend?

Obamacrat: it is impossible to tell whether you are an actual McCain voter, or are making fun of what you see to be the idiocy of McCain voters. That you identify Buffett–the world’s #1 billionaire–as a communist strongly suggests the latter.

Actually, the Obamacrat is right. http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=4586222 Buffett is an embezzler with Washington in his back pocket.

‘DemMcCrat for McCain’: that link of yours refers to an investigation in which Buffett was, and I quote, “not a subject or a target of our investigation. He is a witness.”
Honestly, if you’re going to try to claim that Warren Buffett – Warren Buffett! – is a commie, all you’re going to get is laughs.

obamacrat for McCain is a paid McCain blogger that posts constantly about how they “used” to be for Obama…don’t engage with him… It’s BS

Posted by: karen | November 2, 2008, 5:55 pm 5:55 pm

actually, the DemMcCrat is right. The entirety of the article says:
Investigators meet with billionaire investor Warren Buffett in their investigation of improper transactions between American International Group and General Re, a subsidiary of Buffett’s Berkshire-Hathaway.
check it out yourself. Just because Mr. Buffett is coddling the Democratic Party, which is the party of collect-taxpayer-money and hand-outs (i.e. $700B to said American International Group), and not the Republican Party doesn’t mean he can’t be corrupt.

POLITICAL RADAR HAS BIDEN IN NINE OUT OF THE LAST FOURTEEN HEADLINES…..who here is being paid by the Biden people, when most of us find him a bore, or laughable? WHO CARES ABOUT BIDEN?
Political Radar……you are on your own with this guy.
HILLARY SUPPORTER FOR McCAIN!!!!!

“PennsylMcCainiac for McCain”: No, he is not right, and neither of you. That one-paragraph article is from April 2005, and does not say that Buffett was actually the subject of the investigation – it just says they were meeting with him. The quote I gave was from another, more detailed, article about the same investigation. Buffett was a witness, not a subject, in that investigation.
All your posts reek of desperation. Trying to paint Buffett as a corrupt communist? Seriously? It’s ludicrous.

Hey Phillies! Don’t dirty your win by showing your support for Obama. It’s the blue colar worker who bought the tickets!!!!!!!!!!!!!. If that turd wins, there will be no money to buy tickets next year, you dopes.Ask Obama and that other dope Biden to buy your tickets. Jill Biden did not pay for her ticket, it was given to her, FREE, buy that pig, Gov “THE CROOK” Rendell.

In this election I have to vote McCain/Palin. I have no idea if Obama is a natural born citizen, what his background is (e.g. college years and how he paid for those), and I have concerns with his radical affiliations. Many of us who make up to the ever moving tax threshold (250K-120K), have only made this in our later years and not all our lives. Taxing us heavy now makes it hard to save for retirement, put kids through college, take care of aging parents, and all of the other things life presents us with. In a debate McCain jokingly said rich was >5 Million. I agree with him. If Obama had his threshold in that range I would not be as concerned. I am also uncomfortable with the presidency being bought and paid for with foreign donations. Anyone anywhere can contribute to Obama’s site with no verification. McCain’s site has security turned on to prevent fraud. I also do not like how Hillary was treated and how she was robbed at the caucuses. It makes no sense that she clearly won Texas but lost the caucuses. Finally, I do not want to be part of the “test” that bad guys will do that Biden promised. I am really glad this election is almost over, however it goes because it has been wrought with fraud and corruption and the most un American election of my life. Whoever is the next president will have the biggest challenge of any prior because of the economy, deficit, terrorism, and half of the electorate being outraged their candidate did not win. Americans are on edge more than ever and no matter who wins there will be very bitter and angry people like we have not seen before.

Obamacrat for McCain: I highly doubt you were ever for Obama. And your claim about Buffett is just idiotic. He’s played the free markets better than most other people in the world. Yeah, that screams commie to me!?
DemMcCrat for McCain: Even if Buffett was an “embezzler with Washington in his back pocket” how, exactly, does that make him a communist? Those who embezzle are communist in what way specifically? Again…idiotic.
PennsylMcCainiac for McCain: And I’m guessing that “corrupt” must also equal communist in your mind? There is no such thing as corruption in capitalism? Well, then lets get rid of all those laws which concern white collar crime then! Once…twice…three times idiotic.
Conclusion: Your arguments are all idiotic at best.

Phillies! World ####### Champions!
don’t see anyone in this campaign who deserves to celebrate with them more then Joe and Jill, who are actual, not just last second, fans.

At least Joe will know what it feels like to be a champion and the Phillies
will know what it feels like to Lose
after the voters send Biden and Obama

The Coronation has been cancelled!
President McCain might invite you to
the Oval Office sometime, Joe!

In my 60 years, I have never heard ANY Presidential candidate talk less about the real problems facing the Country than John McCain.
I’ve also can’t remember a time where addressing real problems has been more critical to our continued existence.
Instead, we hear about Bill Ayers – an issue only by innuendo and Reverend Wright, a non-issue already beaten to death.
How pathetic.
And how sad for our Country.

Buffett a commie? You are even more of a moron than our current Pres. Obviously you are one of the morons who elected Bush and are responsible for the sorry state of our country today, despised around the world, rather than respected. There really needs to be an IQ test for people to be able to vote. After suffering through 8 years of the worst leadership in our nation’s history, how can anyone in their right mind want to hand over control to Bush lite and his bimbo sidekick? You people just don’t learn and are incapable of owning up to your past mistakes.
