Palin Releases Medical Records Summary
Read them HERE.
"In summary, Governor Palin is in excellent health and has no known health problems that would interfere with her ability to carry out the duties and obligations of Vice President of the United States of America."

Throughout his campaign for the presidency, and during his eight year tenure in the White House, Bill Clinton never released his medical records, but would you even have known that fact, if you weren’t reading it right now? We know the mainstream media would never have informed you. But every aspect of Sarah Palin’s life has been dissected and slandered since the day she became the Republican V.P. nominee. Her wardrobe, her children, her husband, her hairstyle, you name it, and that aspect of her has been shamelessly crucified by our tawdry mainstream media.
And yet, Barack Obama’s campaign has raised nearly $300 million in contributions of less than $200 each, the bulk of which were accepted by credit cards where the Obama Campaign disabled the verification procedure, and thus contributions were able to be made from the same card under a variety of different names.

After 232 Years, Does Character & Integrity No Longer Matter To Americans?
For 232 years character and integrity have played an integral role in presidential politics. For 232 years, Americans have elected Presidents not based upon the proposition that asks what your country can do for you, but rather the proposition that you “ask what you can do for your country”. In this election we have been told over and over again that we should ignore and not ask any questions concerning character and integrity. We have been told to ignore the most crucial priority for government to protect our sovereignty, while being told that the most important issue is what our government can do to solve our individual challenges; and for the first time in Presidential politics it appears that character and integrity no longer matter.

There may be no health problems that would stop her from being Vice-President, but there are major questions about her ability to handle any job more serious than a flash-in-the-pan celebrity.
Posted by: doug | November 3, 2008, 11:52 pm 11:52 pm
Wait, so even after the State of Hawaii has declared publicly that Sen. Obama’s birth certificate is real and legitimate, you still claim that we don’t have his “real” birth certificate, but this one letter from a doctor in Alaska qualifies as release of her full medical records? Are you serious?
And stop it with the faux outrage about how much attention was given to her wardrobe and hairstyle, etc. We don’t care about her wardrobe, per se, we care about the fact that while trying to present an image of being just a down home hockey mom everywoman, she used huge amounts of campaign cash to enrich her own closet.
Just today, on the day that Sen. Obama’s grandmother passed away, the California GOP filed a complaint with the FEC that the Senator improperly used campaign finances to visit his terminally ill grandmother. Yet, spending obscene amounts of campaign contributions on clothing for herself and her family, thousands of campaign dollars on professional make up and hairstyling services, even thousands on spray tans is all par for the course for a simple moose hunting mom of 5.
I’m not one of the conspiracy nuts claiming that young Trig is really Gov. Palin’s grandson, but there are questions about the Governor’s health and her character. This single letter from one physician does not equal a complete release of her medical records.
Posted by: Habib | November 3, 2008, 11:56 pm 11:56 pm
The headline is incorrectly written…her “medical records” were not released. It’s a note from her doctor like a kid would get so he or she could return to school. It was released at the last minute with no information, so one has to wonder what she is hiding. And…as worthless as it was, why did it take so long to be released?
ALL of the other candidates have released each set of information requested by the media, so those saying Obama hasn’t are not cognizant of the facts.
Hopefully, after tomorrow, we can send her home to Mooseville, and no one except the neocons will care about ANYTHING to do with her.
Posted by: TXMom77 | November 3, 2008, 11:57 pm 11:57 pm
Obama supporters,
Let it go! She is healthy, Trig is her son and she did not violate any ethics regulations. Somebody has put the weight of their hard-earned professional credentials behind each one of those claims, so accept them and avoid falling into traps. Pettiness does not win elections, especially in 24 hours (remember NH)
The timing: obviously the campaign made something of a tactical decision about creating an “October surprise”… the medical records, the investigation results. “October surprises” do not necessarily have to be your opponent falling on hard times. It can also be you getting some well-timed lucky breaks. They thought they would create a day of good news going into the election day. My penny.
This might be my last post, so let me take the opportunity to thank Jake for his reporting (after all, his reporting comes to me free.. let’s all take a moment to appreciate what America offers us…) Don’t be discouraged from voting and may the best man/woman win!!

Posted by: cincyr | November 4, 2008, 12:03 am 12:03 am
I used to support Sen. Obama, but the Obama campaign kept on saying Gov. Palin was corrupt and medically ill, but today, released medical records released prove that she is healthy, and the independent council responsible for investigating “troopergate” proved that she was innocent and that the earlier finding that she “violated ethics rules” was a politically driven. the Obama campaign wants to imprison political rivals for political reasons; it’s okay, I’m switching my vote to John McCain.
Posted by: Obamacrat for McCain | November 4, 2008, 12:03 am 12:03 am
Really? Since Palin is perfect both in health and in her conduct as Governor, why is both the investigation report and this health report being released in the middle of the night just before the elections? This obviously suggest that doing this precludes anyone from asking questions or even doing any basic digging into these two situations before the actual elections. Why does this lady Palin and her sidekick McCain think that they can continue to insult people’s intelligence 7 ways to Sunday and we won’t know any better?

This is a record and recent summary of Palin’s health, clearly not medical records. It was conveniently made public on the eve of the election after Palin equivocating over month about releasing her records. For whatever reasons, she doesn’t want to release her actual records and doesn’t anticipate much in the way of challenge on the letter nor further pressure in the near future to provide them. She could have bowed out with more dignity by not enacting such an obvious ploy. The valid concerns about Palin had nothing to do with her obviously good health.
Posted by: kathy | November 4, 2008, 12:08 am 12:08 am
McCain has released over 1200 PAGES of his medical records for reporters to view. Obama? Just 276 WORDS. What is the big deal? what is he trying to hide? Palin has been on the campaign for 8 weeks, while Obama has been for 2 years, and still nothing. Yet, a 20 year history of smoking and admitted drug use.
Posted by: liberati | November 4, 2008, 12:10 am 12:10 am
Give me a break. If this wasn’t a cover up, the actual records would have been released rather than a doctor’s vouch at the eleventh hour.
The real sexism in this campaign has been they way the so called liberal media have subjected Palin to a less exacting standard on her lies and incompetence.
It’s offensive.

Some of you here insisting Obama was born in Kenya, I have a few questions to ask you.
WHY ON EARTH would a heavily pregnant woman travel to Kenya, let alone travel AT ALL? In the 1960s airlines weren’t like today, it’d be outright dangerous for a pregnant woman to travel. Did they EVEN have flights to Kenya? In the 1960s, Kenya was just freeing itself from colonial rule, average people didn’t go there for holidays.
Air tickets were considerably more expensive, and Obama’s parents were like still in university when they had him. Do you think they had a lot of spare change to throw around?
Last, but not least, there was a birth announcement dug up in a Hawaiian newspaper on the date he was born. Yeah, I’m sure his parents knew that some day he would run for POTUS, even before he could talk. Don’t pull they called from Kenya, international calls were really lousy last time, you’d be fortunate if after waiting for three days you could get on the line.

Last, but not least – Obama(along with the DNC) rather than just showing the judge(s) his birth certificate has chosen to hire lawyers and fight the lawsuits against him.
That does not even make sense.
Obama – man up with your real birth certificate. If it shows that you are actually a US citizen, you have no problems, right?

Concerned,
The point I was making is that WHY WOULD SHE FLY TO KENYA when she’s pregnant? And that they were still in university, they wouldn’t have money to pay for international flights. Domestic flights are more regular, it’d be hard to get a flight to Kenya in the 1960s. The place was just transitioning from colonial rule, and a civil war broke out not long after that. Do you think a pregnant woman would fly to Kenya at a time like that?

The only faint hope the Republicans think thought they had was to attempt to demonize Senator Obama and the Democrats as – communists, socialists, terrorists, racist, white haters, america haters, family haters, media darlings, immigrant facilitators, foreigners, etc.
It’s such a transparent and pathetic strategy, and it is the worst of American politics.

Here it is:
[Nevertheless, the couple married on February 2, 1961 in Maui, Hawaii, after discovering she was pregnant.[5][1] On August 4, 1961, at age 18, she gave birth to her first child in Honolulu, named Barack Obama II.[8]
Dunham left school to care for the baby, while Obama Sr. completed his degree. He graduated from the University of Hawaii in June 1962, leaving shortly thereafter to travel to Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he would begin graduate study at Harvard University in the fall.[9] Later that summer, Dunham and the year-old baby Barack stopped to visit her friends in Mercer Island[9][10][11] before joining Obama Sr. in Cambridge. However, mother and son soon returned to Seattle, where she enrolled in the University of Washington.[10][9] Dunham, missing her family, then moved back to Hawaii[10] and filed for divorce in Honolulu in January 1964. ]
She left school to care for Obama. Then joined her husband. Husband wanted to go to Harvard instead of accepting another scholarship that could support them both. Marriage fell apart as a result. Mother moves to Washington, then decides to go home. End of Story.

“That’s about twice as much information as provided by Obama’s doctor in his one page letter about Obama’s health.”
Actually, no, it isn’t. Don’t confuse data with information.
Obama’s letter states that he’s been in excellent health over the last 21 years and see for checkups and minor issues such as upper respiratory infections, skin rashes, and minor injuries.
It also gives details of his last medical checkup at the time of the letter. We know his blood pressure was 90/60, his pulse 60/minute, his cholesterol level was 173, his EKG was normal, etc.
For someone who hasn’t had much in the way of medical problems, there isn’t much more you can write. What is it you want more detail on there, exactly? The location of the skin rashes?

Senator McCain will bring a lifetime of experience to the campaign and Senator Obama will bring a speech that he gave in 2002. I think that is a significant difference.”

No offense, but most doctors don’t trust other doctors opinions. A summary statement like this is ridiculous.
It definitely reaffirms the question of what Palin is hiding.

Let’s all face the facts, whoever is elected is not going to be able to “fix” this Country’s economic state. It took us 8 yrs to get here, it’s going to take a very long time to recover. Yes we need change, but I certainly do NOT want Obama or ACORN to be making decisions about the UNITED STATES of AMERICA. God bless the USA and God bless McCain/Palin!

Never say never, Jake. Ha Ha.

I’m sure this won’t satisfy the Left – although they’re perfectly okay with Obama’s one-page medical summary.
Posted by: marylou | November 4, 2008, 9:18 am 9:18 am
But still nothing but a note from his doc from The Chosen One. Where’s the outrage there, Jake? Where’s the insistence that the press be fed?
Well, I’m off to vote for John McCain. He is an honorable man who will serve our country well as president. I pray the country gives him that opportunity.
Use your brain/Vote McCain

John McCain’s war record does speak volumes. 4 crashed planes.
He’s good at dodging votes, good at dodging questions, and good at dodging responsibility with the Keating 5. He’s just bad at dodging missiles.
I don’t want to add a further crashed economy and several more countries crashed into while still fighting the two wars he so eagerly jumped into. 4 more years of McCain = 12 years of Bush Doctrine. No thanks. I’d vote for anybody else, and while Obama isn’t perfect, an unknown is better then picking someone you know will screw the country even further.

Obama takes the early lead, then the republicans get out of work to vote.
Posted by: common sense | November 4, 2008, 9:40 am 9:40 am
Common Sense, typically you see the uptick of Democrat votes late in the day… not the other way around.
Democrats rack up a lot of votes in dense urban areas, with long lines and fewer voting machines.
Contrary to what you are saying, Democrats, in fact, do have jobs…. and many of these jobs are less flexible than Republicans. As a result, Dems tend to show up to the polls late… making it into line at seven or eight… but casting their votes at 10 or 11pm. These votes tend to be counted late… and many more of these votes are challenged or contested. Enterprising poll monitors will look for “hanging chads” or poorly marked bubbles to have ballots cancelled. And then other people have to argue with the monitors to have these ballots counted. This means that the Democrat number tend to have a slight time lag over Republican numbers.
This has been the pattern for as long as I have been voting.
Having said that, early voting in a number of states has caused many voters in these areas to cast ballots early…. so this late day surge effect might be more balanced than in previous elections.
But if you watch the returns for the past several elections, red districts almost always complete their returns first.
But more importantly, you shouldn’t say that Obama supporters don’t work. We DO work. Some of us have more than one job. We might not earn as much money as the typical Republican… but that does not mean our work is less important or our votes are worth less.
Especially on election day… you should honor and respect those that do vote!
It’s one day of the year when racial and class boundaries disappear. We are all Americans when we cast our ballots… each of us has our say in this great country. No matter who we vote for. We ALL matter today.
So let’s try to keep it positive!

What a cynical move, to release the information — that was promised weeks ago — the night before the election.
I’ll be so glad when McCain and Palin are gone from our TV screens and our consciousness. Good riddance…

That PDF is not a medical record, it’s a reference letter. That’s it. My doctor could write to a place of potential employment for me and be a total liar. Why trust this? I want to see her actual medical records, but remember Americans, HIPPA laws will never allow you to do so.
Posted by: Maria | November 4, 2008, 10:55 am 10:55 am
I voted about a half an hour ago…
Never seen this kind of turnout.
There were also lots of first time voters there!
Normally my district goes steady red…. but I have never seen this kind of turnout before. Tons of Obama bumper stickers in the overcrammed parking lot.
At ten AM I was about 5 times as many cars in the lot as usual!
This is fantastic!

The medical records ‘summary’ failed to state that Palin has been suffering for many years with an ‘UNPARRELLED SOCIOPATHIC PSYCHOLOGICAL AND PSYCHIATRIC DISABILITY’, which lends her an ability to CONTINUALLY LIE, CHEAT AND CITE FALSE ACCUSATIONS ABOUT HER OPPONENTS as she fights ‘dirty’ on her way to success [regardless of the expensive toll to ‘any’ who stand in her way]. Just ask the citizens of Alaska; they will ‘gladly’ provide the details on exactly what nasty tricks she used to throw ‘all’ under the ‘ladder of success’ on her way to the top after first completely USING and ABUSING them.
As reported by her physician, she stated that she is, in fact, a mean, nasty and dirty fighter who is always ‘vindictive’ enough to stab others in the back once she has achieved victory.

If you haven’t gone out and cast your ballot for Obama… ask yourself if you want to look back at your life… and say that you stood by on the sidelines while everyone else stood up for a great and transformational leader.
Don’t skip out on your chance to be a part of history!

Just like the end of the Clinton Presidency – after he ‘stained the office’… In two years, NO ONE will admit voting for BO!

In all fairness, Obama provided a letter from his doctor like Palin, not actual medical records. The question that remains is why did she put it off for so long, saying she would repeatedly and then not coming through for over a month, all the while with a lot of defensiveness. It was far from efficient on her part and created needless drama. Nationally, we have just had a glimpse of her administrative style.

Of course Sarahs past bouts with depression won’t be found in the “records”. That’s whats shes hiding.

Oh, please. No one cares about Palin’s medical records at this point.
There are a lot of genuine issues over which to oppose Palin, but her health isn’t one of them.
In any case, what’s wrong with a young, seemingly healthy person submitting only a doctor’s letter? Both Obama and Palin did this, and I think it’s appropriate.
However, Biden and McCain are older and have had very serious health problems. The release of their full medical records was appropriate.

You know, many people are speculating that there could likely be ABORTION(S) in her medical history, which of course she WOULD NOT LIKE TO HAVE MADE PUBLIC!!!!
And since she so foolishly & selfishly refuses to provide the medical info that any good candidate DOES provide, this sort of speculation will continue…
Posted by: Past ABORTIONS? | November 4, 2008, 2:46 pm 2:46 pm
Low and behold doctors letter was produced. Seems she is healthy.
As for Ethics Board attorney delcaration Palin did not violate Alaska Ethics Law – feel is just this attorney’s opinion. He references one aspect of this law. Other attorney referenced different aspect of law.
Legislative Investigation attorney did find some evidence Palin allowed others to use her own position as Governor to pressure firing of Wooten. This interpretation does appear correct. Government documents support. Palin and her staff saying she didn’t would be expected.
Court of law would indeed have different interpretation!! Top litigation attorneys across America agreed.
Monegan being denied apology is to be expected. No mention of Trooper Wooten claim So now we all can wait for the expected law suits!!!
Troopergate is not over at all!!!

I’d like to think this was fine, but Cathy Baldwin is the same doctor SP appointed herself and the same doctor she risked an 8 hour flight to to “have” her baby delivered. The woman isn’t even qualified to deliver babies, let alone high-risk babies. I think something is really off, especially given it took SP until 11 pm to release this “letter”. I wouldn’t have doubted it if it were released sooner, and maybe by someone other than this Baldwin lady.
I mean, what does she have to hide?

Jeanie, the obama people wouldn’t do a thing like this. HA!! They want him in the WH so bad they will do anything. His close friends are such fine upstanding Americans. HA..HA.. Wait and see what happens, we will be wanting another impeachment very soon, only this time we can hope he will be totally removed. He is playing basketball today.. There goes the Rose Garden.

“God Help America” when we spend months upon months trying to dig up medical records of Sarah Palin when Obama’s birth certificate isn’t even public. Once again, “God Help America”.
