Blago to Reporters: ‘I Can’t Wait to Talk to You Guys’

Just before 7 p.m. CT, Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich left the offices of his lawyer Ed Genson in downtown Chicago. The governor, who is facing bribery and fraud charges, was met by numerous reporters outside the back entrance of the building.
"There’s gonna be a time and place to talk about this," Blagojevich said. "I’m looking forward to it. In fact, I can’t wait, but until then I need to do the appropriate thing."
He then recognized some people he knew standing just down the street.
"Hi, how are you?" he said to them. "Good. Happy Holidays. Yeah, thank you very much."
As the governor got into his waiting SUV, he then turned his attention back to the reporters.
"I can’t wait to talk to you guys and to have a chance to be able to say the things I’m looking forward to saying," he said. "But there’s a time and place for all of that and I’ll, uh, we’ll soon let you know when it’s gonna be."

lets start off with the shady campaign contributions, how deep were people involved with illegal contributions using made up names…. tell us, Blago, about rezko and ayers and how close of ties obama had with them, tell us what you have on Rahm Emmanuel and why he quit talking and is fleeing the press and then go from there..

i don’t think he has anything thing much to say to reporters, unless he has very bad lawyers, which i doubt.

Maybe Blago can explain why three candidates were forced from the race for Obama’s senate seat before Barry O was annointed. Maybe he can explain how Obama was able to afford his house and pay 300K under book value when Rezko paid an inflated price on the adjoining property, on the same day. Who knows, maybe Blago tape recorded the conversations he had with other Chicago politicians and will expose them. Maybe his recordings will show the prosecutor tipped the Obama camp on their surveillance and prematurely stopped the investigation to prevent Rahm Emanuel from taking the bait.
I think this guy will provide much entertainment over the next few months. I for one hope he does not resign. Why should he? The prosecutor stopped the investigation before any money changed hands. Worst case, governor Blags is just guilty of making stupid statements. I would much rather see him remain in office and seek revenge on those who are now trying to throw him under the bus.

They want to control that senate seat, and will do anything to do that.
Blago probably was not going to name the person they wanted into the seat, so he must be Eliminated.
Obama is know as the Eliminator in Chicago and Illinois.

Three months after he became a US Senator she got a position that didnt exist before. She paid $200K/yr more. Hell of a raise. Obama was pivotal in some legislation that reduced the hospital board size which allowed Blago’s appointments to have more control.
A month after that she got a job on the board of Treehouse that paid $51K/yr and had $72K/yr in stock options. According to the way back machine her board seat was never replaced when she resigned so her work may not have been all that vital to the company.
This is the kind of lucrative sinecure that Blago wife was complaining that she wanted.
Can anything be legally proven? Probably not. But this is why people are cynical about Obama being clean of Chicago style corruption.

There are always 2 sides to every story. Fitzpatrick had his say and everyone and his brother jumped on the dump Blagojevich bandwagon. I’d be interested in Rod’s version of events. Uh, for those interested, I think they call it “fairmindedness” and “innocent until proven guilty”. This GOP-induced, incessant yellow journalism mob mentality needs to stop. Great! This investigation is getting juicier and juicier. I can’t wait to watch it all go down over the next month. Hmmm…wonder if Obama (“The One”) will become our President afterall?!? Blago seems like the kind of guy who would save himself by cutting a deal. Obama could be in real trouble..guess he shouldn’t have built his career on shady associations with corrupt individuals. It may come back to bite him in the butt!
