Gary Gensler to Head CFTC; Tarullo to Federal Reserve Board

In addition to the announcement of Mary Schapiro as SEC chair, President-Elect Barack Obama today will name Gary Gensler — a former Treasury official and Goldman Sachs partner — to head the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, and former Clinton economic adviser Dan Tarullo to fill a position on the Federal Reserve Board overseeing regulatory affairs. –George Stephanopoulos

I think we have way too many former Goldman Sachs people holding positions in the Treasury Department. They are way to influential in our economy and does the term “conflict of interest” come to mind. I have read many books on our economy and the Fed and it appears there really are a small group of people who control the Fed, our Treasury, and who control our country’s purse strings. I for one would like to rid ourselves of these good for nothing but serving themselves types and go back to the greenback. Get rid of the Fed and its cronies. Just go tell them to take a hike! Mr Obama – you said change – I want change, not just a new face with same self serving goals as the previous gang.

To the supporters of Obama, caught up in the heady exuberance of the campaign… so many of you are naysayers now and quick to jump on President-elect Obama’s selections for cabinet posts and inauguration speakers. Were you not LISTENING to Candidate Obama’s words?
