Rahm’s Icy No-Comment

ABC News’ Rick Klein and Gregory Simmons Report: Incoming White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel skated past a reporter’s question — just about literally — outside his icy Chicago home Monday morning.

ABC’s Bret Hovell caught up with him long enough to ask whether he plans on meeting with the U.S. attorney about the scandal involving Gov. Rod Blagojevich, D-Ill. — but, in Emanuel’s words, the “sliding” got in the way.

Emanuel is under heightened scrutiny in the wake of published reports that indicate that he was in touch with Blagojevich’s office about possible replacements for President-elect Barack Obama in the Senate.

EMANUEL: “How are you?”

ABC NEWS: “I’m doing well, thank you.”

EMANUEL: “You guys got good holiday plans?”

ABC: “Hopefully yes. Now are you, have you…”

EMANUEL: “Can you hold on one second since I’m sliding? Thanks. Thank you.”

[Gets into the car and starts to shut the door.]

EMANUEL: "Keep yourself warm guys."

ABC: "Sir do you have any plans to meet with the U.S. Attorney?"

[Shuts the car door.]

All this crap so called journalist, if as at now you guys can’t figure out that Blogo’s ordeal is political, then you guys don’t have brain.
Monegan is what they call her is over ambitious and she thinks this is the best way to get hold of power.
I have never seen a situation where the AG of a state will be witchhunting the governor of the state.

Has anyone seen the RNC web video playing the whole guilt by association game again? It’s going to back fire if it already hasn’t.

Obusha 09,
Are you kidding me? Barack Obama is the most smart, honest, and sincere president since Ronald Reagan. Get over it.

Neither Emanuel nor Gov. Bloga have a case to answer.
This is all about “the intention”.
It is like many who have intention to break and rob the Bank, but have
not done so. No one can hold them accountable because they have not acted though they have the intention.

I have not yet seen it, but really are you people that nieve to think that he came through the biggest mud & slime pit in American politics completely clean? PLEASE!!!!
No One comes through that thing without at least a little tainting! Whatever the issues are, the best way to get past it is to do what HE promised to do in the campaign. Give the people transparency to see what is going on!
Do it TODAY Mr Pres._Elect, not a week from now!

Come on, you guys (i.e., people like Kathy and Kevin), get real. 0bama is a fraud. He is extremely dishonest, he has lied about virtually all of his personal, business, and political associations, his past voting record in the Illinois Senate, and even lies about previous statements he made to the press, when those statements are on tape.
His relationship with Rev. Wright should be enough to scare off any white person (have you read up on Black Liberation Theology? You should, and then think about 0bama’s 20 years in that church).
His relationship with Tony Rezko should have done to him what Jack Abramoff did to Duke Cunningham, and a couple of others.
His relationship with William Ayers and Bernadine Dorn is so far beyond the pale for ANY politician, never mind the President-elect.
He grew up politically in one of the biggest political cesspools in this country, Chicago, and you kool-aid drinkers think he is so pure as to be untouched by the crap that goes on there.
Believe what you will, and don’t let the facts get in your way.
And FM, there is the concept of “conspiracy” that only needs to involve the “planning” stage, not the “execution” stage.

Well said, the kool aid drinkers think their boy’s squeeky clean…..not possible with his history!
Let the games begin!

“Monegan is what they call her is over ambitious and she thinks this is the best way to get hold of power.”
Do you mean Lisa Madigan? I was not familiar with her prior to all this, but I’ve seen nothing but praise for her reputation from the legal community since she hit the mainstream’s radar.

I love the silence from the Obama camp on this scandal
Change.. that I can believe in?
Really?
And I wasted my vote on this clown?
I should have voted for Bozo the clown instead. Can someone have him run next time?

“I love the silence from the Obama camp on this scandal”
The US Attorney asked them to not discuss it. They’re doing as they’re told.

Hey, inbred, you’re not funny, you’re not persuasive, and you’re not worthy of the country you live in. Time to give up.

“Barack Obama is the most smart, honest, and sincere..”
This made me laugh.
Smart? I don’t know that I’d say that, he knows nothing beyond back room legal dealings on a narrow area of civil law.
Honest? Hardly, the guy is corrupt as hell and was nothing but lie after lie after empty promise during the campaign.
Sincere? About what? He already reversed virtually all his campaign positions.

Actually it was more like ABC: ABC: “Sir do you have any plans to
[Shuts the car door.]
…meet with the U.S. Attorney?” It isn’t a dodge unless you get the question out before he closes the door. Sorry. Bad news scoop. You fail.
