Saudis Top Clinton Foundation Donor List
ABC News’ Rick Klein Reports: The list that launched a few hundred stories during the Democratic primaries is finally out: The Clinton Foundation on Thursday posted its complete donor list on its Website, under an agreement that clears the way for Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton to become Secretary of State. In just a glimpse of the complicated Web of financial interests spun by former President Bill Clinton, the list spans 2,922 pages on the Website. The two biggest — in the “Greater than $25,000,000″ category — are The Children’s Investment Fund Foundation and UNITAID. Foreign governments and interests are everywhere on the list, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which donated between $10 million and $25 million. Also giving more than $10 million: Canadian businessman Frank Giustra, producer Steven Bing, billionaires Tom Golisano and Ted Waitt, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Other foreign governments that donated money include Norway, Kuwait, Qatar, Brunei, Oman, Italy and Jamaica, per the AP write-up.

Good question Jay 3, what is the Clinton Foundation?
Posted by: John Locke | December 18, 2008, 12:53 pm 12:53 pm
The Clinton Foundation exists to fund the Clinton library in Little Rock, AR, and some unclear charities who’s intention is suppose to aid in fighting AIDS and poverty. $492 million in donations since it’s inception in 1997. One sticking point I see is India’s contribution to the foundation.

The William J. Clinton Foundation is a foundation established by former President of the United States Bill Clinton with the stated mission to “strengthen the capacity of people throughout the world to meet the challenges of global interdependence.” The Foundation focuses on four critical areas: health security; economic empowerment; leadership development and citizen service; and racial, ethnic and religious reconciliation. The Foundation works principally through partnerships with like-minded individuals, organizations, corporations, and governments, often serving as an incubator for new policies and programs. They have offices located in Harlem, New York City; Boston, Massachusetts; and Little Rock, Arkansas.
You have an international Group that helps people through out the world.
It is Great that other nations contribute to the cause and work to helping people who need it.

What’s the big deal?
Bill Clinton IS a ‘PRIVATE’ citizen!
Clinton IS NOT a govment leader!
Typical problem with having too many under-educated Americans: They DO NOT know how to prioritize American’s challenges.
The Clintons were racist and scummy during the elections. Let’s get them on those issues that are damaging to the well being of America!
Go get and IMPEACH sitting President bush and cheney, who DESTROYED America in so many ways!
‘Cashing in’ on his ‘fame’ and Presidential achievements ares fine, if Clinton is putting the monies to good use.

Beyond a cigar Bill Clinton has not put anything to good use. The problem with Americans is that they believe whatever is in the news. Most do not do their own thinking. To be informed you have to read from many differant views then look at the facts. Then make your judgments. Patriot you do not do this I see Bill Clinton is a fool and I wished I never heard the name but he is far from a racist. You sound like the racist to me Patriot

So what do the Saudis teach their kids at school?
From the textbooks used in Islamic schools in the US:
“The apes are Jews, the people of the Sabbath;”
“while the swine are the Christians, the infidels of the communion of Jesus.”
“It is forbidden for a Muslim to be a loyal friend to someone who does not believe in [Islam's] God and His Prophet, or someone who fights the religion of Islam.”
“Activity: The student writes a composition on the danger of imitating the infidels.”
“True belief means . . . that you hate infidels”
“A Muslim, even if he lives far away, is your brother in religion. Someone who opposes [Islam's] God, even if he is your brother by family tie, is your enemy in religion.”
“Do not yield to them [Christians and Jews] on a narrow road out of honor and respect.”
“Jihad in the path of God — which consists of battling against unbelief”
The 10th-grade text on jurisprudence teaches that life for non-Muslims is worth a fraction of that of a “free Muslim male.”
I guess the Clintons, the Bushes and those of you who support them want to see more of this hate and intolerance?
The Saudis are against ALL Americans, not republicans or democrats. Nothing makes us weaker than being divided. We ALL must fight against them as one.

Hillary is probably done as a pres. candidate anyway. Especially if Caroline Kennedy becomes Senator. Hillary on the way down, Caroline on the way up.
The money raised is held in offshore Turks and Caicos bank accounts, not subject to US tax and public scrutiny, and is the same place Clinton lobbying fees from Colombia and Georgia are held. I guess a former president would know the ins and outs to avoid US taxes. Especially if he was a crooked one. Otherwise he would keep his bank accounts in the good ole USA, and face the same Internal Revenue oversight that all the rest of are subject to.

Can’t see were Hillary Clinton could ever be acceptable as Secretary of State. How could anybody accept all that money and live off of those people for so long and then just walk away and act like it never happened. This is not like White Water Investments. We need a Secretary of State who is free to act in our best interest. However, she should continue and resign as Senator, especially after all these disclosures about taking money from Indian outsourcing companies. Caroline Kennedy will make a much better Senator.

Slick Willie – “EVERYONE of the largest donors to the Clinton Foundation do not expect any political favors in return for their donations!!!”

You are excluding Communist China from the list.
Campaign contributions were laundered in when on Feb. 18, 1998: Clinton signs a waiver allowing Loral satellite to be lifted into orbit by the Chinese.
From MSNBC, May 27, 1998
Time Line of Clinton China Decisions
(BY TOM CURRY AND ROBERT WINDREM)
As the Clinton administration debated whether to allow U.S. satellites to be lofted into orbit aboard Chinese missiles, Bernard Schwartz, chairman of Loral Space & Communications, and Democratic fund-raiser Johnny Chung, allegedly using money from the Chinese army, gave more than $500,000 in soft money, ostensibly used for `party-building efforts,’ to the Democrats.
The Justice Department and Congress are investigating how a technical report on the explosion of a Chinese missile in 1996–a report that could help China assess the reliability of its missile arsenal–found its way into the hands of the Chinese.
That report was prepared by employees of Loral, Hughes Electronics and other firms.
In a statement issued May 18, Loral said that `Bernard Schwartz, chairman of Loral Space & Communications Ltd. . . . was not personally involved in any aspect of this matter. No political favors or benefits of any kind were requested or extended, directly or indirectly, by any means whatever.’
The firm also declared that: `Allegations of a connection between the launch failure and a subsequent presidential authorization for use of Chinese launch services for another [Loral] satellite to China are without foundation.’
Nonetheless, Justice Department and congressional investigators are sure to scrutinize the chronology of gifts and decisions.
The time line does not prove any cause-and-effect relationship between donations and decisions. It does give investigators a basis for their criminal inquiry.
April 24, 1995: Loral chairman Schwartz gives $25,000 to the Democratic National Committee.
June 30, 1995: Schwartz gives $20,000 to Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, which provide support for Democratic Senate candidates.
Aug. 30, 1995: Schwartz gives $75,000 to DNC.
Sept. 30, 1995: Schwartz gives $20,500 to DSCC.
Oct. 9, 1995: Secretary of State Warren Christopher decides satellites should remain a military munitions item.
Nov. 29, 1995: Schwartz gives $100,000 to DNC.
Nov. 29, 1995: A Chinese government agency writes Loral, asking for help in getting an upgrade for its dual-use imaging technology, exports of which are prohibited under U.S. sanctions.
Jan. 26, 1996: Loral is sold to Lockheed for $9 billion.
CLINTON APPROVES LAUNCH
Feb. 6, 1996: Clinton approves the launch of four communications satellites on Chinese rockets.
Feb. 6, 1996: Wang Jun of CITIC, owners of percentages in Chinese satellite companies, visits the White House for coffee and dines with Commerce Secretary Ron Brown.
Feb. 8, 1996: The White House and Commerce Department begin to talk about the satellite export issue again.
Feb. 14, 1996: A Chinese rocket carrying Loral Intelsat satellite explodes, destroying a Chinese village.
Feb. 15, 1996: Schwartz gives $15,000 to DSCC.
Feb. 15, 1996: The State Department gets an urgent request from the White House to speed up the process of switching the satellite licensing to the Commerce Department.
Feb. 29, 1996: Schwartz gives $50,000 to Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, which bankrolls Democratic House candidates.
March 8, 1996: China launches missiles.
March 14, 1996: Clinton decides to move the satellite licensing function to the Commerce Department.
March 15, 1996: Loral President J.A. Lindfelt writes Commerce to say the export of a dual-use technology, known as synthetic aperture radar, is being held up by the Defense, State and Commerce departments.
April 1996: Schwartz announces the formation of Loral Space and Communications.
April 24, 1996: Schwartz gives $50,000 to DSCC.
June 10, 1996: Schwartz gives $100,000 to DNC.
July 22, 1996: Liu Chao-Ying of China Aerospace meets Clinton with Johnny Chung.
July 31, 1996: Schwartz gives $5,000 to DSCC.
INFLUX OF CHINESE MONEY
August 1996: Chung accounts show an influx of $300,000 from Liu Chao-Ying.
Aug. 18, 1996: Chung gives $20,000 to DNC to attend Clinton’s birthday party.
Aug. 28, 1996: Chung gives $15,000 to DNC at Democratic National Convention in Chicago.
Sept. 16, 1996: Schwartz gives $30,000 to DSCC.
Sept. 20, 1996: Schwartz gives $20,000 to DSCC.
Oct. 16, 1996: Schwartz gives $10,000 to DSCC.
Oct. 18, 1996: Schwartz gives $70,000 to DNC.
Oct. 24, 1996: Schwartz gives $5,000 to DSCC.
Nov. 5, 1996: New guidelines on Commerce licensing of satellites are published.
Nov. 5, 1996: Clinton is elected to his second term as president.
Oct., 1997: A federal investigation of Loral begins.
Feb. 12, 1998: As Clinton ponders whether to sign another waiver allowing launch of a Loral satellite aboard a Chinese missile, National Security Adviser Sandy Berger sends him a memo saying the Justice Department `has cautioned that a national interest waiver in this case could have a significant adverse impact on any prosecution [of Loral] that might take place based on a pending investigation of export violation.’
But Berger adds that `the advantages of this project outweigh the risk,’ and `it is inappropriate to penalize [Loral] before they have even been charged with any crime.’
Feb. 18, 1998: Clinton signs a waiver allowing Loral satellite to be lifted into orbit by the Chinese.
