The Palin Comeback?
ABC News’ Rick Klein Reports: To those who thought Gov. Sarah Palin, R-Alaska, would disappear from the national stage after her failed run for the vice presidency, a glimpse at Georgia this week should serve as a reality check.
Palin chose the run-off Senate race as the sight of her first post-election political foray. She barnstormed through four events Monday on behalf of Sen. Saxby Chambliss, R-Ga., splashing her face across the state’s front pages on the day that Chambliss is favored to win reelection.
If Chambliss hangs on against Democrat Jim Martin in Tuesday’s run-off, Palin will be accorded at least some of the credit. The crowds greeting her Monday were huge and energized — a reminder that the grass-roots excitement she generated as Sen. John McCain’s running mate has not evaporated.
Two paragraphs from Tuesday’s Atlanta Journal-Constitution speak to why any Republican thinking about a 2012 presidential run has to take Palin into account:
“Palin began her march across Georgia in Augusta, where 3,000 people lined up in the cold to get into the James Brown Arena for her 8:55 a.m. speech. She later spoke to about 2,000 people in Savannah and about 2,500 in Perry in Middle Georgia.”
“The self-professed ‘hockey mom’ was mobbed at her final stop in Gwinnett as she waded into the crowd to sign autographs and pose for photos after her speech. Hundreds of people held aloft camera-equipped cellphones trying to get an image.”
Last month, a range of other prominent Republicans — including Mike Huckabee, Mitt Romney, and Newt Gingrich — also cycled through campaign events on Chambliss’ behalf.
Celebrity is not necessarily viability — but whom do you think got the most cellphone pictures snapped?

I hope & pray Sarah Palin gets lost in the Alaska backwoods and that the Republicans get someone else that is a lot more prepared and doesn’t have such an irritating voice before the next election. To me, she is the Pelosi of the Republicans. I am a died in the wool republican and while I voted for McCain, it was only for the party!!

If Palin becomes the “frontrunner” before anyone votes in next election cycle, it will be only because the media pundits SAY she is. Everyone remember President Guiliani?

I think, I hope, we are done with uneducated dumb republicans. We are living with the consequences of stupidity. Did anyone see the Bush interview. It’s as though he was riding above the presidency, not responsible for anything, as though the president isn’t really in charge of anything. things just ‘happen” according to Bush. That is the epitomy to someone who thinks the car “just drives itself” and has noclue the reason it hit the wall wasbecause you didn’t steer it and you didn’t hit the breaks. Whether this women continues to hold offices that would have her very limited brain make major influencial decisions is up to the American people and how stupid they are. I think when folks have jobs and houses they feel free to be reallyk stupid. When they see their houses possiblly being lost, their jobs going away, and are faced with homelessness and cheese lines, all of a sudden folks get alot smarter. why? why not just be smart all the time. It’s just a quesiton of whether Americans have learned anything.

Everybody is getting “hooked” on the Obama “expressway”. After for years of “obamanation” policies, Sarah Palin will be a welcome pick for everybody.
The media tried to “kill her off”, but failed. She is the enxt Ronald Reagan that truly will unite this country.

“I am a died in the wool republican and while I voted for McCain, it was only for the party!!-”…I have to agree that was incredibly stupid. Why would you ever vote “for the party”????? You want to tank this country entirely into a depression, “for the party”? You want to completely ruin us for good “For hte party”??? It’s treason to put party before country. if you konw in your heart that your party picked someone who was horrible, you should have NOT voted for your party, and done so “for your party” because NOTHING sends teh message that they must dobetter next time than for them to LOSE this time. You are enabling stupidity when you support it.

I was beginning to wonder where my daily dose of Sarah Palin news was. The news is so boring and lackluster when there isn’t even one Sarah Palin story. Fortunately, not a day has gone by in the past few months where there hasn’t been at least one story about her. Chosen as a scapegoat for a campaign that was doomed to lose, Palin is proving ever day that she has a better understanding of the Republican base then the old goats who hold the power.

Lot’s of people think we should have someone as uninformed, poorly spoken, and just plain ignorant as Sarah Palin running the country. These are the same people showing up for her Georgia appearances that think George Bush is doing a good job running the country, and that its better to have someone stupid like Bush/Palin in office than someone who knows what they are doing. You see, the Republican cuts to education spending really do have an effect!

The only type of person who can ‘unite’ this country is a fiscal conservative who doesn’t like abortion, but will keep it legal. That is thebest you can do. The majority of americans want to keep abortion legal even though within that group and are a HUGE number who would never get an abortion themselves and think it’s wrong. MOST people know the question of abortion is about what is OUR ROLE in women other than ourselves getting them. Do WE have the power, should we have the power to FORCE a women to maintain a pregnancy and birht a baby against her will. That is SUCH an extreme position nobody who actuallly advocates the involuntary servitude of forced pregnanices and birth as anyone who could ‘unite”. It’s oppressive and sexist. Half the population are women and most of them are NOT for FORCING women to maintain their pregnancies even if they’d like for them to. It’s all about how much control do you feel comfortable forcing on a women, and nobody who is for such extreme oppression of women and girls would ever be person capable of uniting. In fact, nobody who want to shove their religion on everyone is going to unite anyone. Over 90 of thie country says they believev in God and that is on many levels and with many intricacies, so when one extreme religion declares themselves the “Only true Christians” you just turned off a HUGE segment of society. When you start saying because of YOUR religion school systems can’t teach health class thoroughly you cannot unite. republicans need to get a perspectivev to be able to respect moderates in this country. Christian moderates who do not buy into their extreme views and who do NOT appreciate the wing nuts trying to legislate them.

Numerous other political operatives came through Georgia this past month, but only Governor Palin received this much publicity.
I watched the Republican convention enough to see many of the other 2012 candidates (Pawlenty, Huckabee, Romney, etc.) speak, and only Governor Palin and MAYBE Romney had the abilty to energize the Republican base from the podium.
Yes, right now Governor Palin can draw the base, but it is still to be determined if she can develop the policy depth and breadth to make a concerted run in 2012 or 2016.
However, before you totally write her off, just remember a lesson from history: Richard Nixon lost the 1960 presidential election and everyone wrote him off (His famous line: You won’t have Richard Nixon to kick around anymore…) only to have him turn around and win the 1968 election. Four or eight years is an eternity in politics, and anything can happen.

I look to Governor Palin as an American that chose to make her part of the world a better place–what was broken, she fixed and she didn’t care if those that were breaking it were Republicans–she tossed them out. Does that make her Presidential material? No. She sure has a more tangible leadership trail that the PE, however.

Sarah Palin has got to be one of the most inspirational politicians of our time. She rose to power completely on her own (as opposed to marrying rich men like clinton, pelosi, huffington). She climbed into the goveronor’s chair battling corruption that resulted in those guilty being fired and/or going to jail. Also, after she became gov SHE SOLD THE PRIVATE JET, FIRED THE PRIVATE JET AND GAVE THE $$$ TO THE STATE OF ALASKA!!!
You can bet your a** that Barry O and al gore will travel the country in private jets telling all of us to drive less or or turn our thermostats down because of global warming…eerrr. climate change (now that the whole warming thing isn’t working out too well).

John McCain is a man of little education besides a dismal showing at the naval academy. Joe the opportunistic couch potato never achieved any sort of post high school training or education. These are not people to be in charge of situations that effect other peoples lives.

dave – I agree she is an inspiration, and that is why most Democrats don’t like her. Palin has done with her life what we should all aspire to do – get involved in our community and work to make it a better place. Sure, she’s made mistakes along the way, but her entire career has evolved from her simply wanting to solve a problem in her community, then her state, then the country. Most Dems hate that because most of them are the type who would rather elect a politician who they believe will solve all the problems – it’s easier then rolling up your sleeves and getting involved.

jess – Can you name me one politician who has said abortion should be outlawed?? I can’t think of any. Yes, McCain and Palin has said Roe vs. Wade should be overturned … but even IF that ruling were overturned, it would not outlaw abortion. It would make it a state’s rights issue – essentially putting abortion decisions in the hands of the voters. Most people – even most conservatives – recognize the need for safe, legal abortions in this country but they also believe abortion should not be misused as a form of birth control (or population control) as it is now. The focus should be on prevention, not expanding abortion rights. Abortion is legal and it will remain legal – get with the times. The debate is over how do we lower abortion numbers and where do we place the limits.

Do you really want to compare idiotic statments made by palin’s to biden’s phenomenal amount??
The man actually said……..
“you need a slight indian accent to go into a 7-11″.
“Roosevelt went on tv in 1929 to tell America about the depression”
“Bosniac”
“Clinton would have been a better choice than me, she is more qualified” (please imagine if palin had said that about romney)
“Article 1 of the constitution deals with vp powers relative to congress” (and he is a lawyer)
“We, along with france, kicked hezbollah out of lebanon” (someone better tell lebanon)
“It’s patriotic to pay higher taxes” (this coming from a man that has earned $2,590,000 in the last 10 years and given 3,000 to charity.
“Go down to katie’s restaurant and see how middle-class I am” (the restaurant closed 20 years ago)
I could list 15 more, i’m just laughing too hard.
just because the media protected him, as they did when barry O said “i have been to all 57 states” and “i would really like to meet the president of canada”, doesn’t take away from the fact that biden is slipping in the common-sense dept and barry o is an unqualified, anti-American socialist.
As for palin spreading hate, when you hang out at an unrepentent terrorists living room, guess what, you are “palling around with terrorists”.
Besides, barry O took his children to hear “goddamn America”, “America is the worst terrorist nation in the world”, and “America created the AIDS virus”. That to me is un-American.

That’s just utter nonsense, and I think you know it. Sometimes, it’s easier to promote lies and distortions then to stick to the truth. Palin’s rallies were like KKK rallies? Really? Can you give me an example of one racist comment she ever made? Can you give me an example of one quote where she incited the crowd to engage in acts of violence against people based on their race? Was she wearing a hooded white robe when she made these statements? It’s odd that the media, who followed her everywhere, never caught her making these statements, but maybe you know something they don’t know. As for not being able to find the country of Georgia on a map, and nuking the state — that’s just crazy talk since there never was any talk of nuking an ally country (Georgia).

It’s funny how liberals are quick to call palin rallies violent, but they have no problem with rev wright rallies where people screamed in delight as the pastor shouted….
“goddamn America”
“America is the worst terrorist nation in the world”
“America created the AIDS virus”
“America is run by greedy rich white folk” (even though the good rev wright lives in a $2,000,000.00 10,000 sq ft mansion now on a golf course surrounded by greedy rich white folk).
Barry and michelle brought their kids to hear this filth. You liberals don’t think it’s filth because you agree with a lot of what rev wright said.

If Sarah Palin is the next shining star of the Republican party, they must be really desperate.
Why aren’t her kids in school???? Why isn’t she spending time with the baby???? I don’t think she is setting a very good example for many people. She has a special needs child and a child who is pregnant, kids aren’t in school, and she is traipsing around the country. I bet she would be flapping her jaws if this was someone else.

ABC bloggers,… always the same tired refrain, the same prejudice and stupidity. “Uneducated Republicans”,… that would be about the same percent of the Republican party as it is with the Democratic party. Or do you consider actual, useful degrees to be uneducated? More Republicans have science and engineering degrees than do democrats. More democrats have history, english, and underwater-basket-weaving degrees. Who’s truly uneducated? yes, there are “uneducated Republicans”,… what you dismissively refer to as “ignorant rednecks”,… but what about the “uneducated democrats”,… welfare cheaters, prison inmates and hippie dropouts? Get a clue. There are just as many “uneducated morons” on both sides of the political aisle,… and some you keep voting back into office after their stupidity has been proven,… hell, you’ve re-elected dead people. I well remember one rally that absolutely sent cold shivers down my back when the people were screaming “kill him” and other such things during her speech when Obamas name was brought up. Jenny Rome Ga – Would that be the same rally where the Secret Service agents said that reports of the crowd yelling “kill him” never happened? The same one where not one tape of that chant has ever surfaced, despite the fact that thousands of people were in attendance and many had cell phones that can record audio as well as video? The media didn’t catch it either – it was all made up. Yes, sometimes people yell crazy things at rallies – but that’s a reflection on the person yelling, not Palin who never once encouraged that type of behavior. And she didn’t dismiss community organizers as useless – she said her experience as a mayor was equal to or better then the experience of one former community organizer in particular. Go back and listen to the speech.

Boy you are as ignorant as Sarah Palin.
Community organizers feed the homelessand provide them shelter. They provde activites for disadvantaged children thru Boys and Girls Clubs, YMCA and the like. They coach your kids little league teams and staff the polling places where you vote. They clean up neighborhood blight. they work to provide decent Housing at a low cost to those in need. This group is called Habitat for Humanity. Any outreach done by your church into the community if your church does this sort of thing is also done by community organizers with in your church. When you dismiss Community organizers you attack the Boy and Girl Scouts, 4-Hers, Junior Service leagues, Garden clubs and the list goes on and on. All are not perfect but most are motivated by a sincere to do good. Sometimes the leadership may not be so good but that does not mean the organization is all bad.

community organizers=community agitators in a lot of cases, and i stand by that statement.
People like BO, the loudest community organizer of them all, with the cooperation of the liberal idiots in washington, are the MAIN REASON OUR HOUSING MARKET COLLAPSED. Community organizers, like bill ayers “weather underground” and the rest of the liberal idiots in the 60′s are the reason millions of south vietnamese fell under communist regimes and were MURDERED after the liberal congress refused to follow through with our peace treaty.
Community agitators are the reason women are having 7 kids by 5,6,7 different guys and getting paid for it through out-of-control welfare!
Community agitators are the reason unions have chocked American companies to death and kept lazy people employed.
Community agitators are the reason there is immessurable amounts of useless marsh land (like anwr) that we can’t touch because of tree-hugging crazies have gotten ridiculous legislation passed that has nearly broken our economy when gas prices rose.
Yes, there are good community organizers like you mentioned, but I think we should not put BO in that catergory. And please, don’t call me “ignorant”. Remember, you are an “open-minded” liberal.

Sarah Palin will be the Republican nominee in 2012, barring unforseen events. That should be obvious by now to everyone.
The social conservatives will rally around her, and whoever the social conservatives rally around will win the nomination.
It will not be like in 2008 when the press tried to nominate Giuliani, which put him way up in the polls. Then the social conservatives checked in and Giuliani (a horror to social conservatives) checked out.
The social conservative vote in the 2008 primaries ended up getting split three ways between Huckabee, Thompson and Romney, and so McCain was able to win the nomination without much social conservative support (though social conservatives tolerated McCain who was soplidly prolife more than they did Giuliani).
But in 2012, the vast majority of the social conservatives are going to strongly back Palin. She will win Iowa and South Carolina in landslides, and then the nomination will be hers.
Then the country will have had enough of the liberal democrats and will have forgotten how much they dislike Bush, and she will win the Presidency.
Simple, really.

I am assuming you do wear shoes.I am a Christian woman who is a loving and comapsionate person. My husband and I have two great boys. I have never voted for a Democratic President and I have voted since Regan.
Your comments about community organizers really does show your lack of knowledge or understanding of what a community organizer does and how important they are. Just who do you think gets all those undesirables off the streets at night so you and your perfect family can walk without seeing reality? thats right the community organizer that runs the homeless shelters!!

i hope you are right! The only thing I would argue is that you have underestimated the media’s ability to pick McCAin as our canidate. They knew he could never win, which is why they loved him (and because he is not really a republican).
Republicans don’t win with liberal-leaning canidates. We lost with Bob Dole, we lost with George Bush after he raised taxes.
We win with strong conservatives like Regan, Bush(when he ran in 2000), and Palin.

I am not going to have this community organizer/community agitator argument anymore. There is good and bad. My main point is that Barry O is definately a community agitator. He got tons of $$$ for chicago’s poor neighborhoods and the crime rates have actually increased since he did.
Instead of giving speeches about personal responsibility more often, he listened to and hung around with another community AGITATOR, rev wright.
They got black people to rally around the idea that white people and America are evil, which ends up hurting both our country and the black community. Never mind the fact that both of these agitators are living the good life now. (rev wright lives in a $2,000,000.00, 10,000 sq ft mansion, and Barry O is buying michelle $30,000 diamonds, and eating lobster dinners at the waldorf astoria hotel.

That is how “open minded” liberals argue.. by calling us morons, idiots, hicks. They call bush a terrorist, and say America is evil. But chavez they call friend and ahkmadenijead is invited to speak at their college.
I would be willing to bet that liberals would have protested louder against bush coming to talk at Columbia College then the holocaust denying, israel threatening, jew-hating whackjob.

You obviously have no idea what a liberal even IS. And you can find a hateful conservative as easily as you can find a hateful liberal (just hang out in here).
No, we don’t hate America, and I get very tired of the slander. It is ignorant. It is offensive. And it is hateful.

I never called Bush a terrorist or said America is evil. I think Chavez is dangerous and Ahkmadenijead (2 points for spellng the name right, I think) is a crazy fool. Both need to be watched and kept tabs on and if having these two clowns for tea makes them feel like real men, bring it on. Besides keeping you friends and your enemies closer sounds pretty good to me. At least we will know what they are doing during tea.
I could not believe that Ahkmadenijead made it through the security check at the airport much less spoke at Columbia. That was really stupid.

Most of the people that i know voted for obama had no problem with rev wright because they agreed with much of what he said. if you claim you don’t hate America, then I won’t question you. But I will question your knowlegdge of what the left wing “liberal” part of your party has become over the last 50 years (which includes the FAR-LEFT OBAMAS).
I have no problem saying that anyone who sat in rev wright’s church for 20 YEARS OBVIOUSLY DOES NOT LIKE AMERICA. Barry wrote a book after rev’s speech, he baptized his kids, married he and michelle..
The truth hurts

Your logic breaks down in several places.
1. You know absolutley nothing about what Obama heard “sitting in that church.”
2. Obama did admit to hearing Wright say (unspecified) things that were “controversial.” So? Open-minded people can allow some latitude to associates who they believe is a good person overall.
3. It doesn’t really matter what Wright thinks, because we know what Obama thinks, and we know he does not “hate America.”
4. I wouldn’t want to defend anything a loudmouth like Wright has said, but I really don’t think he “hates America.” He has way too much anger, some perhaps justified, much of it probably not justified. But anger is not hate, especially when it is directed at very specific targets.

I have read through these comments and am amazed how some people continue to promote stories that have been soundly proven false i.e. “Lobster At The Waldorf.” Proven false and retracted by the NY Post that ran the rumor. If you dont believe me, GO TO THE SOURCE instead of that PUMA site or Sean Hannity.
If you like Sarah Palin and think she can govern the USA (LOL!!!) then go ahead and support her! I will just work even harder to keep such ineptness out of the White House–even for a tour! I don’t think I will be alone in that objective either. I think the RNC is doing what they can to extinguish this hot momma! They realize what utter fools they were to select someone so incompetent.

liberalshateAmerica – Without giving away my age, I’ll just say that back in the day, I was actually a liberal – but that was back when liberals were open-minded enough to consider all points-of-view rather then just resorting to insulting people who didn’t agree with them. Today’s liberals follow a philosophy of “if you don’t agree with me then you are stupid” … it’s evident in postings on this site and countless others. The truth is, most social issues – everything from illegal immigration to abortion – benefit from a non-combative, non-partisan approach rather then this bullying approach we’ve come to accept.

Why are you willing to believe BO when he lies and says “Bill Ayers was just a guy in the neighborhood” only to discover later that BO’s political coming out party was in ayers’ living room and that they sat on sevaral boards together. BO also gave ayers book loud public praise. hmmm.. sounds fishy
And how can you believe BO when he says he had no idea his pastor of 20 years was a racist, American-hating, Israel badmouthing, louisfarrakan-loving, nutjob. Is BO really that stupid? No.
He either agrees with rev wright or he just used him to advance his career. Either way he is a snake, although he is an extremely charismatic snake (i’ll give you that).

You make a good point, but it is a sad state of affairs when most people have no idea that MLK and Lincoln were republicans. Or that the Republican party was founded by abolishing slavery and that the democratic party were the biggest advocates of slavery. After slavery ended by a republican victory, the segregationists were overwhelmingly democrats. Even Johnson was an enormous racist, despite signing the civil rights act.
Most people have no idea that blacks were on the rise in nearly every catergory relative to whites until the 60′s counterculture, liberal, let-it-all-hangout, mentallity hit.
Entitlements have become a modern form of slavery and the media, along with our socialist educational system, refuse to acknowledge it.

I think Obama’s associations with Ayers are a legitimate issue. But they are what they are, and nothing more. Should Obama have refused to ever speak to the man? Maybe, although nobody else in the community seemed to think there was any such dilemma. I suppose if he were more concerned about pandering to future voters, he could have made a big show of running screaming from the room. But that might have been a little embarrassing, what with all of the Republicans and respected community leaders in the same room, on the same board (some of whom are now McCain supporters). For some reason none of THEM felt that making a scene was necessary. But let’s agree for the sake of argument that this is a bad mark against Obama. Fine. What does that mean? That Obama is a terrorist? That he is an evil man who should be shunned from society for all time? I don’t get it. Obama is what he is; nothing more, nothing less. People want to condemn an entire life for one perceived error, when they could instead just LOOK at the guy and decide for themselves how he turned out.

I am not getting the feeling that you are a true liberal (BIG COMPLIMENT). As I said, most of my family and friends that voted for BO agree with rev wright on many things. They also feel that bill ayers was just “protesting against an unjust war”.
Take my teachers for example in college (just graduated 2 years) at Mizzou. Mizzou is well-known for its journalism school and the teachers in that dept were some of the most Anti-American people I have ever met (they would rival Mike Moore). They fed the kids their liberal-bias, Bush-bashing, blame America first, way of thinking on a daily basis.

Harry, I absolutely agree with you but please don’t forget those who happened to be on the right (ultra) accusing Obama supporers of “drinking kool-aid,” following the Messiah et alia.
There is NOTHING wrong with a conservative agenda and/or beliefs. I don’t happen to agree with many of them. However, I can appreciate and enjoy the discourse as long as neither of our civil rights are violated. What I DONT understand is how you people can support Sarah Palin! She is …plain & simple, just dumb as to how our government works and its history. She manipulated the truth to characterize Obama as a terrorist and questioned his patriotism. Yet, her very own husband belonged to a group which advocated Alaska’s succession from the United States. How patriotic is that? I agree that abstinence should be taught BUT I also want my children to learn about birth control measures too. Unlike Ms. Palin, I have no desire to raise my children and grandchildren at the same time at this juncture in my life. She is just plainly ill-informed and naive.

it’s not bill ayers i am worried about.
it’s not obama’s church giving louis farrakan a “lifetime acheivment award”, it’s not rev wright,
it ‘s not father pfleger,
it’s not rashid khalidi
it’s not michelle o’s comments
it’s not barry saying that he “sought out the marxist professors in collge”
it’s not his ties to rezko and the sweethart deal he and michell bought their house with that bothers me….
It is all of these things/people combined that makes me question the intentions of barry obama. Why has he always been drawn to RADICAL individuals?? The media did 0% in vetting this guy, but rather protected his every move- very scary. I’m not an idiot that thinks he is a muslim, I’m just not buying what he has told us so far about his past.

I am most definitely a “true liberal,” and proud of it. You do not see it, because you have DEFINED liberal as “everything you hate,” and turned it into an extremist caricature. I’m sure there ARE liberals like that, just as there are abominable conservatives, but in general the difference between “liberal” and “conservative” is just differing views of what is best for America. In a democracy, opposing viewpoints help provide balance, if people are honest in their arguments.

Palin does not believe in absitnence only, but she doesn’t think condoms should be passed out on test days either. she also never tried to ban harry potter (was not even written when she supposedly tried to ban it).
Her comments that were less than intelligent were completely overblown and exaggerated by the media. As I said earlier, if she had said any of the crazy things biden said she would have been kicked off the ticket….
I think she is a woman who is truly in it for family and love of country. How many politicians become gov and sell the private chef after firing the private chef- that is awsome. She also stood toe to toe with a sentator of 30 years for 90 minutes while biden said 14 things that were flat out wrong. The media just chose to focus on her “youbetchas”.

Obama “associates” with everyone, as most open-minded and gregarious people do. He likes to hear ALL viewpoints before making up his mind. He does not ask people if they have ever said or done anything bad before deciding to speak to them. He is civil and moves on.
Some of the thousands of people he has “associated” with have probably said or done bad things (and that includes the conservative as well as the liberal side). Does this mean he condones everything ever said and done by anyone he has sat on a board with or attended a fundraiser with? That’s just stupid.
I really cannot see why people have so much trouble with that.

Funny, I have never “associated” my way into an unrepentent terrorist’s living room who was throwing me a party. Or I have never been in the presence (longer than 5 minutes) of someone who spouted hate against any race of people or America, and I went to different colleges and lived in London. I guess I must not be as “open-minded” as Barry.
My one question to Barry would be “why have you gravitated to some of the most close-minded and hateful rhetoric throughout your whole life”???

The notion that you have never associated with someone who has previously said racist things is laughable. I’m sure we all have. We can argue about if you had actually HEARD them say those things, but you have no evidence that Obama ever heard Wright say anything racist, so it is a rather moot point.
And the “cram it up yours” comment was for you saying that I hate America, which I take extreme offense at and you have not apologized for, as it is even your screen name

“Simple”? Really, what you or the argument? Palin will unlikely be a blip on the tundra in 2012; less past 2010 as Gov. Her ‘exposure’ in itself has doomed her, if not ANY woman candidate. More likely (a) Bobby Jindahl, new Gov. La., will have matured into a classic opponent for Obama: child of immigrants, ‘dark-skinned’, youthful. He has plenty of real experience.

There is much to do to to save a great nation, but you all seem to have the mange and are determined to scratch yourselves (each-other) to death. America is only going to get right by bringing our industrial capability back to these shores … and by Americans remembering what Love Thy Neighbor and ‘Let he who is without sin cast the first stone’ mean. We don’t have to like or dislike Sarah Palin … either opinion will do nothing to save America. The whole idea of whether Repubs know anything or are right about anything has been answered via American history in in 20 out of the last 28 years …. we’ve had Republicans pretty much in power for 20 of the last 28 years. AMERICA HAS HIT THE SKIDS AND IS TANKED!!! What is there to wonder about. Oh, this one is fun. I like fun.
Quote:
I think, I hope, we are done with uneducated dumb republicans.
(Missed a comma there, my intelligent Democrat. Also failed to capitalize a proper noun. By the way, I join you in hoping you think, but I’m afraid the jury is still out.)
We are living with the consequences of stupidity. Did anyone see the Bush interview.
(Oops. Question mark, please.)
It’s as though he was riding above the presidency, not responsible for anything, as though the president isn’t really in charge of anything. things just ‘happen” according to Bush.
(Let’s ignore the uncapitalized word and the mixed quotation marks, and instead poke fun at the omitted comma that changes the meaning of the last sentence. Also, the less stilted use would have been “as if,” rather than “as though.”)
That is the epitomy to someone who thinks the car “just drives itself” and has noclue the reason it hit the wall wasbecause you didn’t steer it and you didn’t hit the breaks.
(Lots of fun here. Misspelled “epitome.” Misused “epitome.” Unnecessary use of quotation marks. Fear of space bars. Misspelled “brakes.”)
Whether this women continues to hold offices that would have her very limited brain make major influencial decisions is up to the American people and how stupid they are.
(One woman; two women. Got it? “Require” would be a much more appropriate word choice than “make.” Misspelled “influential.” Stilted language at the end of the sentence could have been improved by using “depends on” rather than “up to.”)
I think when folks have jobs and houses they feel free to be reallyk stupid.
(You really do hate commas, don’t you? We’ll leave the sloppy typing alone this time.)
When they see their houses possiblly being lost, their jobs going away, and are faced with homelessness and cheese lines, all of a sudden folks get alot smarter.
(Misspelled “possibly.” Invented a new word (“alot”).
why? why not just be smart all the time.
(I see we also hate question marks and shift keys.)
It’s just a quesiton of whether Americans have learned anything.
(Or maybe the “quesiton” is whether one can discern a dumb, uneducated Republican from a presumably smart, educated Democrat who can’t express himself through the written word.)

For you that are supporting Palin, you are far and few within your own party who like her. She is the main reason most of your die-hard and on the fence republicans jumped ship during the elections. The GOP can try to dress her up all they want but she will never garner enough votes from the supporters of the republican party to support her. If the GOP put her on the 2012 ticket to run for office it will be the end of the Republican party for years to come. Your party just don’t want to seem biased and be ridiculed for coming out against her publically.

Its not the press, nor the liberals, or whomever you want to blame that will ruin her–it will be her. Folks! There REALLY is something to education and having the ability to comprehend! These qualities are sorely lacking in Governor Palin.
Someone pointed out Mr. Biden’s gaffes. Ms. Palin has had her share too. I’ll be fair… I never believed the Africa mess and I believe she is not responsible for the clothing brouhaha (I believe all that was planted by the RNC) BUT her interviews (not overblown at all), and her naive stance on various positions are just incredulous!
Prank call (paraphrase–but pretty actual!): “…Governor Palin we just loved your biography “Nailin’ Pailin’” (pornographic movie for those of you who don’t know) …it was so real.”
Goevernor Palin: OH! Thank you so much!
LOL!!!!!!!!! I just LOVE her!!! I really, really do!!!

Oh Yeah–you can dream and hope all you want–typical left-winger.

I guess I am one of those uneducated, stupid democrats. I voted for Obama, I was terrified that something would happen to McCain and we would have Palin in office – a real airhead – yes airhead.
You talk about Obama’s acquaintances – what about Todd Palin who belongs to a group that wants Alaska to secede from the US – and Palin has given speeches to this group. This is an American Act??
She talks about abstinence – her daughter is pregnant – didn’t teach her to well. It happens in all families but she wants abstinence taught in schools not birth control, so look what happens.
I would think that she should be spending time with her special needs child and keeping the other children in school. They will end up like her – not really aware of many things in the world. It seems as though her family comes last – her political actions first.
Her campaigning for the senator in GA – one day before the election won him the election – NOT HARDLY.
She has a pretty face and that’s it. Many think that she is really a blonde.

“Palin haters pobably hated the straight A students in school also. Well adjusted individuals with great work ethics and attitudes are the winners in life.”
Actually-those who see Palin for the sub par person she is-WERE the “straight A students”. You know the people (like me!) who really DO know where certain countries are located and what their names are. Who governs what land(be it continent or country), and you know-little things like what the VP of the US does.
We recognize poor ethics when we see vindictive misuse of power. We note poor character in a human killing defenseless animals, particularly in a less-than-sporting manner. And of course we can spot lousy parenting skills in even the most affluent households.
And, yes-we, the intelligent have had more than enough of being governed by you, the stupid.

I can’t believe this woman! She is so full of herself! Can’t she just fade into the sunset as John McCain has done…he went back to the Senate….she should go back to Alaska!(and stay there.) She may miss the Northern Lights if she doesn’t hurry!

…fade into the sunset? What????
hat’s not going to happen. HoneyBunz is well-aware that she is the Diana Ross of the political scene… and we all know that Miss Ross can fill a room!
…and so can Miss Sarah too.
Again, this is why she really is dangerous (no matter how much I joke about her.) She has name recognition and she can fill seats. Now, if she can turn this into successful fundraising …. well,
“…and they loaded up the truck and moved to DC…”
Talent such as Mr. Romney or Mr. Jindahl will be passed over. However, she can never win the White House. There is just too much evidence of her ineptitude.

What do you get when you put lipstick on la PEANUT?…………..Sarah Palin.

Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha
Palin ? Doesn’t she have a job somewhere? Does she get a check from Alaskans each month? What on earth for? She’s skipping her day job to campaign for Chambliss who has skipped his day job for six years.
My God. Who is going to help this poor country get straightened out ?

Palin is the best politician of our time. She is the most honest, genuine, and bright person anywhere in office. All you snobby, liberal, anti-American, socialist loving hippies will be crying in 2012 when she beats BO. The media can only protect him for so long.

If Palin had 1/2 the positive coverage of BO or 1/10 the PROTECTIVE coverage of Joe The Biden the playing field still would not have been fair.
There is something about a happily married, attractive, successful, powerful, CHRISTIAN(really annoys the far-left), woman that drives them crazy. The fact that she chose to have her son with down syndrome instead of drilling a hole in his head 5 months into her pregnancy and aborting him also really enrages the left wing loons.

Jenny Rome GA– Blah, blah, blah. Honey, give it a rest–the election is over.

Oh, I get it…she’s still wearing some of those Republican convention new clothes because they don’t have to be donated or returned until 12/31, otherwise they become income! I guess the plan is to keep on campaigning until New Year’s Eve!!!

Of course not because she is basically illiterate! Also, I am not a left wing loon nor does Sarah Palin enrage me. Quite the opposite! She is one of the funniest things I have seen in such a long time! I actually google her name quite often, (sick I know), just to find out what my cutiepie is up to. Just FABULOUSLY entertaining!!!

Just a thought – Palin’s main schtick seems to be that only state governors have the right answers, experience and wsidom for the job as president. Why did NO ONE ask her about that popular governor, George w. Bush, who flamed out as president in epic proportions? Being a governor does NOT automatically qualify a person for US president. Someone should have eaten her lunch on this point – media, where were you?

Constanza: At least Sarah knows that there are 50 states in the union, not 58!

dave-kc: I completely agree with everything you’ve said! A happily married conservative Christian republican like Sarah just burns these left-wing liberals up! Another thing that burns them up is that the liberal media tried every way that they could to destroy her and bring her down but she is still standing and there’s nothing that her enemies and haters can do about it! Go Sarah Palin/Mike Huckabee in 2012!
