“This Week” This Week: Gibbs, Sens. Corker and Brown, the Roundtable

Dec 28, 2008 11:42am

With George Stephanopoulos taking a well-deserved vacation with his wonderful family, I substituted on THIS WEEK this week.

Our first guests were Sen. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., and Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio. We talked about Israel’s air strikes against Hamas in Gaza and what they’d like to see in the economic stimulus package.

We also spoke to incoming White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs about which character from President-elect Obama’s favorite movie, The Godfather, Gibbs most reminds Obama of. We also solicited some advice for Gibbs from previous White House press secretaries. More on that HERE.

Our roundtable featured Slate’s John Dickerson, NPR’s Alison Stewart, CBN’s David Brody and Kurt Andersen of PRI’s Studio 360. They all made predictions for 2009 — and New Year’s resolutions for other people.

Hope you liked the show!
