Timing of Blago Report: 4:30pm Eastern, 12/23/08
ABC News’ Yunji de Nies and Sunlen Miller Report:
The Obama Transition team will release the review of their investigation into staff contacts with Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich’s office over President-elect Obama’s vacated Illinois Senate seat at 4:30pm Eastern time Tuesday.
An Obama transition aide advises that the time was made upon agreement with the US attorney’s office so that it doesn’t impede their investigation.

Obama Avoids Questions on Contraception Rule
This doesn’t make sense to me. Openness is openness. The feds already know what Emanuel said. They know what Blago said, and all the other players. They have it on tape. There is no possible way that Obama’s open release of some facts is going to impede an investigation. We already know that the prosecutor will not be successful in prosecution of Blago, the best he can do is to get the bum to resign, as long as Illinois continues to pay him his paycheck for perpetuity. We’re concerned more about the Obama team keeping its nose clean. This is a good lesson for all of them.

Merry Christmas…maybe after this release takes place some of you right-wingers will take off your tin foil hats and enjoy the holidays. Obama has nothing to do with this criminal…the AG has said so, but since your little feelers have told you otherwise you can waste your holiday parsing this release. Good luck with that.

Don’t expect anything we didn’t already know or Obama didn’t already say…they investigated themselves!

Timing is everything. There is plenty to hide here and it is well hidden. All pols have skeletons in the closet. Even the beloved Bush. Get over it!

Unless there is actually something that takes place today from the US Attorney’s office I’ll count that statement as yet another lie about his affair.

Does this mean the US attorney’s office investigation is over?
If not, I don’t believe this timing makes one whit of difference to the US Attorney’s office.

I suppose that’s the same reason that Obama is in Hawaii and Emanuel is in Africa right now — so as not to impede any investigation.

A stunningly successful ploy.

Obama doesn’t have to worry about the MSM asking any questions about Blagojevich.
The media will be tingly and incoherent for weeks after seeing BO’s shirtless pictures.
That display was his Christmas present to all the kool-aid drinkers.

They mocked the press with this release time.
Valerie Jarrett and Dr. Eric Whittaker are in Hawaii with Obama.
Rahm Emmanuel is in Africa.
Yet they tell you this release time was the choice of the prosecutor and expect you to report it. How disrespectful of them.

Blago is innocent. The federal
attorney should be tried for
filing false charges against
the governor and put away for
at least fifteen years.
