Be Part of the Obama Inaugural! (Act Now While Supplies Last)

Recession, shmesession.

Have you been longing for an "Obama Love Inaugural Tote Bag" by Diane Von Furstenberg?

It’s only $70.

The tote bag is part of the new Runway to Change store at the Presidential Inaugural Committee’s Web site, which offers a whole host of merchandise at the Inaugural Collection online store, including:

A gold, silver, and bronze medallion set at just $3,000.

Meticulously sculpted in antique finish, .999 fine silver, and in 14-karat gold by Marc Mellon, the front of the medallion depicts President-elect Barack Obama, while on the proverbial opposite side of the coin is the presidential inaugural seal. Or how about a "Be the Change" inaugural poster by Shepard Fairey, signed and numbered for just $500?

Or a $100 bound leather inaugural portfolio?

A $400 framed and matted 16×36" panoramic photo of Mr. Obama taking the oath of office on Jan. 20, with a gold embossed signature of the president, vice president and inaugural seal? (Ships Feb. 15.)

Or an $82 Commemorative 10.75" diameter Woodmere China Plate decorated in rich gold and striking blue design?

Or a $30 set of two inaugural champagne flutes?

Act now while supplies last!

I was hoping McCain still had some of those Obama Tire Pressure Gauges around.
How much they go for now?

It look like it might be expensive.

At least the bag is made in the USA.

No thanks.
Even if any of BO’s goodies cost only $5.00 I would buy a box of milkbones for my dogs.
Priorities–Obama memorabilia is not one of them.

Who could afford to buy any of that stuff right now? And why would you spend your hard earned money on it even if you could? I think I’ll spend my “Change” to buy food (Ramen noodles and tuna fish, anyone?) and pay my electric bill this month instead.
I know this is all “official” stuff, but how could you leave of the collectible plate commercial, Jake? “His confident smile and kind eyes are an inspiration to us all.”

All the money spent on and for this
PEBO defies all logic. The American
hangover sets in in 6 months or so.
All parties end, the lights go out,
and the people go home. First hit on
home soil and Obama takes the party
hat off and ditches the party horn.
Then he faces his adoring fans,
and the rest of us. Then we’ll find
out if he was money well spent.

looks like the checkout website is NOT SSL secure. Atleast the little lock at the bottom of my browser is not there, like it is with other secure websites.
