Inauguration Celebrity Sightings
ABC’s Jake Tapper is beating you all in celebrity sightings. He just saw Smokey Robinson up on the VIP platform. I am a sucker for old rock music, so I am listing him as "over" in the Demi/Ashton over/under scale.
Meanwhile, earlier Jake saw Denzel Washington, and the crack people at ABC News Radio actually scored an interview. The Academy Award winning actor says:
"It’s an optimistic day, it’s a hopeful day. It’s a cold day. But you know, it’s just a vibe. A good feeling. You know, everybody’s in it together. I am hopeful. I am full of hope. You know I feel that we can only go up from here. United. If we’re all together, if we work together and respect our civic duty, I think we can go a long way together. But we all have to be engaged. It’s not about just the president and what he says and what he does, it’s about all of us."
I am trying to get ABC to devote resources to getting comments from other cast members of "St. Elsewhere." As of now, Howie Mandel is unreachable.

To Charlie Gibson: You were just telling a story on TV about how your wife was out to dinner night before last and saw Dustin Hoffman. You were saying how the waiter spilled a whole tray of food in Dustin Hoffman’s lap. What an “I Love Lucy” moment. I laughed so hard. It was just like the episode where the waiter dumps a pie in William Holdens face. History repeats itself. Thank you for sharing.

A great day for America.
A speech you will not hear :-
“…..We are all Americans not because of our colour but because we live in a great land created by the Creator and our God, the LORD JESUS CHRIST.
Today we stand in America as proud Americans. We are Americans that love our country .We are ready to serve.
We have to come together in this time of challenge ,in this historic moment to try and focus on the problems we face. The world is watching us. Without your help, my Administration cannot succeed. The governed have elected the Government and we owe our allegiance to you the people of America.
President Abraham Lincoln once said : “….UNITED WE STAND , DIVIDED WE FALL…”.
Another great President John Kennedy said : “…ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country….”.
We will consider a tax holiday for every American instead of the stimulus plan that has failed to restore confidence in the market. I believe in free market enterprise and that “…competition is healthy….”. Too much Government intervention is no good for the economy.
I want all Americans to be happy to be living in America. President Ronald Reagan said words something to the effect that :- “…America is a shining beacon of Hope…”
As an American I want that beacon of hope to shine bright in the days ahead. Together we can make America great again in the eyes of the world.
It’s time to change .Time to put away fear and suspicion and bad judgement. The world is watching America,” the beacon of hope” that President Ronal Reagan spoke about. “United we stand ,divided we fall”, the great President Lincoln said.
We salute America and all Americans.Thank you for letting us dream for a moment. Night time will soon be over.It is the dawn of a new day and we must face it with courage, determination and conviction to do what is best for all American’s.
The question may be asked what is best for America? The answer is in the hearts of every American.
Change for the sake of change IS NOT GOOD CHANGE. Changing road signs and painting the walls is good if it does good but if it wastes money and is just a token of change then it is no good. Change must be seen in the people. Those that drink from the cup of bitterness and hatred need to drink from the clean waters of forgiveness and tolerance. Those that drink from the wells of filth need to drink from the clean wells of true change of character. Those that drink from the the polluted streams of diverse judgement need to look beyond the fault and see the need.
The heartbeat of America is the hope and aspirations of the American people in pursuit of happiness.America is great because everyone has the chance to live the dream.Sure, some of us in different stations of life have broken dreams and others have realised their dreams. At the end of the day when everyone stands up to be counted we are all the same because we have all been given that precious gift of life and the ability to dream and have a desire and see the reality of our inner vision projected deja vu before our very eyes.
The power of imagination used for the right purpose is an invincible weapon. But we have more than imagination. We have faith in God. IN GOD WE TRUST.
The idea of a man,the dream of a nation, the hope of a nation.Let the dream live on.It is not a shame to dream. It is a shame to have no hope. It is a sad thing to have no life.Let the dream live on.
Without dreams we cannot live in pursuit of happiness on this earth.
proud and respected by the world community, because we are Americans. Let the dream live on.
MAY GOD BLESS AMERICA. MAY GOD BE WITH US AND GUIDE US THROUGH THESE PERILOUS TIMES OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIPS AND DIFFICULT TIMES.GOD BLESS AND BE WITH YOU ALL THAT LOVE AMERICA……..”
