The administration needs to find a way to instantly further their agenda while Obama’s political capital is still overflowing. The White House will definitely push for the stimulus to get passed by mid-February.

Listen – I didn’t vote for the guy BUT cmon now … if he has given an entire race of people hope, happiness, a reason, and a feeling of belonging that YOU nor I will ever understand (I’m white obviously) then how can it possibly be bad? When you see elderly African Americans that REALLY know what those times were like – you mean to tell me you don’t feel moved?? If not, you’re fooling yourself – so, President Obama .. good luck and God speed!

@mike “Listen – I didn’t vote for the guy BUT cmon now … if he has given an entire race of people hope, happiness, a reason, and a feeling of belonging that YOU nor I will ever understand (I’m white obviously) then how can it possibly be bad? ”
How can you say that? Obama had a racist preacher give a benediction that told “yellow” people to “mellow out”. Oh, and if you are white then you can finally think right.
Obama’s speech by any measure other than the racial aspects was mediocre. His inauguration coincided with a huge drop in the market and I suspect we will see an acceleration in the decline of confidence in our markets brought on by higher taxes on the so called rich; you know, the business people that employee most of us.
This administration has the makings of a true disaster.

The long national nightmare known as the Bush-Cheney administration is over.
Thank God.

James – did I not say I didn’t vote for him?? Trust me – it was due to his policies. Now that aside – you’re talking economics and I’m talking something totally different in my remarks. Wright? I know what you’re saying – again, I did NOT vote for him! I’ve always heard if you’re at least OPTIMISTIC then good things tend to happen more often – I’ll choose that route for now!

President Obama . . .

What a classless, low taste and tacky inauguration this has been.
Obama who was supposed to unite, heal and bring this nation together spent most of his time in his speech attacking American policies and his political opponents.
This has truely the most partisan , low class inauguration speech in the history of the republic.

Writers Praise Barack Obama’s Inuagural Address
“With an Obama speech, listening is sometimes enough,” said Pulitzer Prize-winner Thomas Powers, “but not this time. The inauguration speech is one we ought to read. It strikes me as clear and determined and grounded in confidence that of course we are still in the middle of the American story, not nearing the end.”
Nonfiction writer Mark Kurlansky said the speech “was the most sophisticated view of the world and our role in it of any inaugural address in history.”

I did not vote for this man, but now that he has won, lets pray for him to make the right decisions for this great Nation of ours.
