Obama to Hit Ground Running
In the first days of his presidency, his operatives say, Obama will hit the ground running.
Number one: focus on the economy with meetings with his economic advisers.
He’ll try and get support for that economic stimulus plan on Capitol Hill.
But he’ll also take some actions to signal a fresh start in foreign policy.
On Wednesday, his first full day in office, he will call in his military commanders as he promised during the campaign in order to come up with a withdrawal plan from Iraq.
On Wednesday or Thursday, he also will issue executive orders to issue the closing of Guantanamo Bay, though he won’t say a time.
And in week one, he’s going to appoint new envoys to carry out his diplomatic missions: Dennis Ross, a longtime middle east peace negotiator will focus on Iran and other areas and Richard Holbrooke, who negotiated the Dayton Peace Accords in Bosnia, will focus on India and Pakistan.

Joe Biden Recalls Death of Wife, Daughter
His Treasury Secretary pick failed to pay taxes. Sounds like business as usual in DC. Obama has already screwed up more than any Prez-elect in history.
His inaugural bash will cost an estimated 150 million. What a bunch of slobbering idiots you are in hte media!

Obama knows how to pick them. Like his treasury secretary. Joe THE Plumber would make a better President than Obama and he sure would make a heck of better news reporter than the trash ABC has like Jake Tapper and George Stephanopoulos

Obama toughest challenge coming up will be how to balance the major crises developing and continuing in foreign policy while still confronting the economy and selling the stimulus.

He will hit the day running from the continuing law suits. He has lied to the American public about where he was born. His alliance is not to America. He has trashed the Constitution because he knows he was not born in America. He knows that he went by another name Barry Soetoro (legally) yet he stated on all legal documentation that he never went by another name. He is paying attorney’s to fight this case rather than just tell the American people that he was born in Kenya to an Indonesia citizen and given the Certification of Birth given to foreign births at his mother’s request. Our leader is about to tear the country apart because of these deception and lies and he is celebrating spending mega bucks on continuing this deception during a time when most American’s are having difficult times. The news media outside America is talking about this man and his lies—yet, the American press is silent. I am disappointed in George Stephanopoulos for also sweeping this issue under the carpet—the outcome is just too great for the citizens of the US—our country is in crisis and hiding the truth will only make matters worse when it is revealed.

Mike, haven’t you heard the latest? Governor Schwarzenegger has his lawyers looking for the son of the woman who was the doctor at Obama’s birth. And the Inquirer says that Mike Huckabee is on the trail of the illegitimate alien-android hybrid baby of the Kenyan midwife who was present at the birthing clinic where little Barry was born. This huge conspiracy will soon come to a head, and mine will be protected.

Listening to your morning show, all of your commentators call him a black man,
not a one of you have the truth in you to mention that he is the son of a white woman and that the family who brought him up was white and that his black families in raising him up was not a factor in his early life, and, if you have children, you know what you instill in their life at an early life has a lot to do with the make up of your life. Why is it, are you afraid to be called a racist, when, we are not.
My grandfather, because, he was ethnic,
a white slovak, bought property in the 11930 has a cross burnt on his property bthe Clan by WASP and because he was
from the old country. All of you journalists still do not tell it like it is. We can’t mention black, but they can mention white all the time. Tell it like it is. I had a good frient at 5 years old that I played with who was black, and her father made mme go home and not play with her becausse I was white. By the grace of GGOD, we are either white, black, or purple. Stop calling him black. Those bblack journalists you have on your show it is so obvious that they won’t admit that a white family brought him up in his important early years of life.

Pauline,
Look up the word “black.” It means:
1) of or related to various population groups having dark skin pigmentation
2) African-American
Even though Obama’s mother was white, he is black on both counts.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/black
Of all the possible meaning for the word, racial slurring is one sentence on these pages. The term means SO MUCH MORE than some mis-used slur. Racial associations are not the first nor the second meaning of the word, and while it may be the third on dictionary.com, racial ideas are not presented again for another 30 entries of the meaning of the word. Quit making this discussion “black and white”, it serves no purpose than to divide us when we need unity.
So everyone here just stop wuith “hes black or … OH NO … HES WHITE”, it means NOTHING in the long term.
Equally, if his birth certificate said he was named Susie Blue and he was born on Pluto, it wouldn’t change the fact that the American people chose him as the next leader of the free world based on other criteria than what his borth certificate said. Being chosen for the highest office in our nation is a matter of personal charachter, determination, and a willingness to work tirelessly for others sake, not a birth certificates simple numbers and letters… if we judge Presidents based on useless criteria like this, we would be worse off than we are now. Why don’t we decide who is President by chossing the Street Address that we like the most? Because that makes as much sense as picking the President based on what their birth certificate says.
Period. End of discussion on Obamas race and historical fine points.
This Presidency is about action, not just words. Change for the better.
Don’t let yourselves be mired down in belittling each other for personal gain.

wuith = with; “…just stop wuith…”
borth = birth; “…what his borth…”
Sorry to double post, but I hate spelling and grammar errors, and can not edit the above post. I equally can not let my mistakes go un-attended.

Barack Obama is the first African-American President of the United States. Shame on those who would try to deny the historical significance of that fact.

@ Pauline
Asking someone to look up a word they obviously know what you mean when you use it is belittling the other posters literacy. Furthermore, somehow alluding to me slighting the accomplishments of Obama is an assuption, I never say anything to reduce the value of Obamas accomplishments.
I am simply pointing out that no matter what Obamas race or ethnicity happen to be, those are not the criteria by which he has been judged suitable to lead our great nation.
His accomplishements easily speak for themselves.

I said shame on those who would try to deny the historical significance of that fact.
The fact that you’re seeing allusions in that statement speaks more about you than me.
You said “Asking someone to look up a word they obviously know what you mean when you use it is belittling the other posters literacy.”
Huh? I’m sorry, but the wording of that sentence leaves me scratching my head as to your intended meaning.

I am tired of hearing about his color. Personally i really don’t care if he was green and from mars. I did not vote for him but i do hope that he has an effective plan to get our country back on course. He needs to prove himself to the American people. he is a good talker but talk is cheap. we need action and fast. I don’t believe the man has the guts to make the tough choices he is going to have to make.

America has fallen, lies and deceit have led the way. The GRAND celebration on Tuesday is fitting for such a solemn ocassion.
The problem is NOT that we have a black president; the problem is that this president was imposed on America thru lies and worse.

I couldn’t believe Matthew Dowd’s assertion that within 6-9 months Obama would own our economic crisis. Economists predict it will take at least 10 years to pull out of this mess. Obama can never “own” this. We gotta give credit to GWB for this one. Regulators in his administration failed to regulate, he dishonestly took us into a costly war of choice, & he turned his back on middle America. Thanks a lot George Bush.

to whom it may concern God is still in charge and regardless who is in office we need to acknowledge God has put them there to lead us and will be with the leader as well as the followers. And the color of the skin is not the issue God is still in charge.
