Does Obama get his stimulus if he doesn’t actually lay out specific data as to how it will create/save 3 million jobs?

“Obama is naive … He will break the country.”
The Pup — that’s short for “Puppet” — is about as naive as Mussolini, the personable Italian dictator.
The “Obama” organization worked all through the so-called election to break the press, and it looks like they’ve mostly accomplished that.
The country IS “broke”. Having a somewhat “black” guy take office and act more or less like the regime which preceded Him is no help, and is likely to make for a short honeymoon, if the press IS allowed to speak.

“how it will create/save 3 million jobs?”
Rickshas?
Obama has been in office less then a week and has already had a huge impact on the way the world sees us. It’s not the color of his skin it’s what he stands for. Shutting down torture was a great way to start. As for the economy it took years for Bush to get us into this mess and it will take years for Obama/Biden to get us out. Even if you didn’t vote for him, he deserves your repsect and support. He is our President.
“As for the economy it took years for Bush to get us into this mess … ”
Bush did NOTHING without the collusion of the hijacked Democratic Party, including mob-friendly corporate puppets Obama and Biden.
Tooling up for more war — maybe one with nuclear consequences abroad and/or in the US — is a dumb thing to do. And remember that the military uses HALF the US oil.
Under the circumstances, solarizing a bunch of federal buildings is uh putting lipstick on a pig.
Some say President Bush was responsible for our present situation; when in fact it started with President Clinton SUB PRIME loans, poor regulatory over site i.e Franks and company, and greedy banking industry and continued with Bush’s administration, and Obama inherited the problem. But for all who continue to blame Bush with the problem, we must now turn to President Obama’s blame for he has invented the solution for this economic stimulus that will more than not fail. The “New Deal” FDR’s like stimulas did not work, sadly WWII did..
“The “New Deal” FDR’s like stimulas did not work, sadly WWII did..”
Don’t make the mistake of thinking the “Obama” organization is ANYthing like FDR — FDR was no corporate puppet, and had a lot of experience behind him when he was first elected.
As for the New Deal DID keep poor people from starving — which is more than “Obama” is going to do. The continuing “Obama” enthusiasm for war in the mideast should have people out in the streets.
“Even if you didn’t vote for him, he deserves your repsect and support. He is our President.”
I am so sick of that line, every person who write it or says it deserves their very own National Hypocrite Award.
You all trashed Bush while he was President, but now you expect everyone to bow before the “annoited one”. Sorry, you felt it was your right to bash the previous President while he was in office, I now choose to exercise that same right!
Your “messiah” would do better in “the win them over sweepstakes” if he had dumped Gietner & Summers & not allowed William J. Lynn in after he said no lobbyists.
He should be publically denoucing what Robert Reich said about white construction workers.
I am not even basing my criticism on my own beleifs, I am basing it on the standards set by Obama himself.
1. It would be great if ABC could post a transcript, for those — there are millions of people on dialup connections — who can’t view video.
2. I for one would feel better about the state of federal censorship if the apparent embargo on Geithner — who’s been Number One on Obama’s economic to-do list — were lifted.
That Geithner’s father employed Obama’s mother, through the Ford Foundation, probably is NOT just one of those fascinating coincidences. If there were no “family” connection to Geithner, wouldn’t he have gone the way of Bill Richardson, who had no family connection and was jettisoned for far less?
A guy who EVADED, essentially REFUSED to pay taxes, in charge of the IRS? It’s … laughable, if you like black humor.
Not to mention that Geithner was playing for the guys who got the “bailout” billions (which Obama voted for).
“Your “messiah” would do better in “the win them over sweepstakes” if he had dumped Gietner & Summers & not allowed William J. Lynn in after he said no lobbyists.”
Amen. There is nothing more r-a-c-i-s-t than giving the “Obama” organization the same pass it got while it was claiming the nomination, just because of His birthday suit.
During the primaries, we saw what manifestly NOT “brilliant” proclaimed as brilliant, by so many media figures that this right-light “post-partisan” is now in a position of unlimited power.
Those who survive the debacle may well come to curse the corporate media for installing this fraud.
“A guy who EVADED, essentially REFUSED to pay taxes, in charge of the IRS? It’s … laughable, if you like black humor.”
continued: Remember that Geithner not only refused to pay the taxes on his gargantuan corporate income, but actually went out of his way to pocket the FISA check supplied him (by the IMF).
If THAT’s okay … hey, ANYthing’s okay, and “Obama” is revealed, a little late for most of the electorate, as the mobster He’s ALWAYS been.
Tinkerbelle sure sounds a lot like Rush Limbaugh. As for the respect line I used: ALL Presidents have my respect even if I didn’t agree with them. Bush was a joke by the end and that is when he lost it. It took 8 years for Bush to screw things up so bad that he lost respect.
Obama deserves a chance. This is the new America. The times are changing.
“You all trashed Bush while he was President, but now you expect everyone to bow before the “annoited one”. Sorry, you felt it was your right to bash the previous President while he was in office, I now choose to exercise that same right!”
“They did it first!”
The call of the truly childish right wing.
Be a man and own your criticism of Obama instead of being a coward and ascribing it to what others did to your beloved Bush.

Geithner originally didnt’ pay his social security and medicare taxes . .. he payed all others. He’s receiving strong committee support – Republicans are supporting him.
“There is nothing more r-a-c-i-s-t than giving the “Obama” organization the same pass it got while it was claiming the nomination, just because of His birthday suit.”
This is the way the racist right wing reintroduces the race issue, claiming the people of the United States were somehow duped by his skin color not Obama’s intelligence, poise, character, campaign platform, policies . ..
Pathetic.
“Obama’s intelligence, poise, character, campaign platform, policies … ”
None of these is in evidence — and His campaign platform WAS His birthday suit and “it’s in my DNA” — unless you count apparent sedation as “poise”.
The only think WORSE than an unprincipled charismatic leader is a charismatic leader who’s superficially “attractive” enough for teevee, but NOT actually “charismatic”.

“Pathetic.”
What’s pathetic is ignoring the fact that whoEVER the “Democratic” Party nominated was going to be president. Blackwashing His lack of substance, along with a 10-to-1 monetary advantage and the celebrity left and corporate media running interference for Him made that “Obama”.
So … the corporate right bought/intimidated such members of the “Democratic” leadership as it didn’t already own.

It must be tough on some of the extremist right wingers on this forum to watch what has happened in only a week.
“The following is our President following through on his campaign promises and this is democracy in action.
1)Stop America torturing and honor the Geneva Conventions and started the process to close Guantanomo (serving our constitution, treaties, and rule of law)
2)Opened up the Freedom of Information policy to be what it was meant to be
3)Instigated a transparent government program
4)Instigated a stronger ethics program
5)Pay freeze for those who earn over $100K in his administration,
6)Involve both the Republicans and Democrats in the Economy Package
7)Opened up embyronic stem cell research
8)Released the “gag” on family planning and services programs overseas
9)Set up his open government website (we hope to see more)
10)Hired people on his cabinet and administration that have merit and that are Republicans, too. Kept Gates on
11)On day 2, he and his Sec. of State set a strong policy for foreign affairs with a strengthened Dept. of State where “Development, Diplomacy, and Defense” would be the integrated strategic tools
12) allow States the liberty to bring on stream improved auto emission standards
I’ll tell you, this is great government and I’m proud to see this going on.”
“What’s pathetic is ignoring the fact that whoEVER the “Democratic” Party” nominated was going to be president.”
The same thing was said in 2004.
Of the top 3 in 2008, Hillary would have had problems with turnout and progressives, Edwards affair would have exploded dooming his chances.
“Blackwashing His lack of substance,”
ROFLMAO.
He has shown that he has plenty of substance and is already implementing what he said he would.
“along with a 10-to-1 monetary advantage and”
Obama raised $742M.
McCain raised $376M.
Obama came out down nearly $20M in independent expenditures($59M for, $78M against).
The DNC raised $254M
The RNC raised $417M.
Total for Obama (subtracting the net loss for indies) would be $976M.
Total for McCain (taking away the net $7M loss for independent expenditures) would be $776M.
Where is the 10 to 1 ratio?
