Politics Live: Clinton’s Confirmation Hearing
Sen. Hillary Clinton testified before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee Tuesday for her confirmation hearing to become secretary of state. "If confirmed, I will accept the duties of the office with gratitude, humility and firm determination to represent the United States as energetically and faithfully as I can," said Clinton on Capitol Hill. Tune into Tuesday’s edition of Politics Live for analysis from ABC News’ political team.

I believe that Hillary Clinton was the best choice for Secretary of State. However, I thought that she would have made a better choice of VP for Obama instead of Biden. Its possible Obama had in mind that Hillary would outshine him when it came to questions because Hillary knows more about politics that he hasn’t learned yet and it will take time for him to learn foreign policy. Hillary is a very educated woman and was in politics long before Obama ever decided to run for the senate. Her associates were not in the same class as Obama’s especially William Ayers and Wright. All we can do now is wait until he becomes president and see if he keeps the promises he made in his campaign. So far, everything appears to be going well.

Clinton OWNED Vitter!
Watching today was worth it just for that smack down! LOL Perhaps when he loses his race in 2010, due to his marital stepping out with a paid for woman, he can get a job at FOX?

Hillary will make Obama look like an idiot. She got her husband not to be impeached. She ran the show just as she will now. Go Hillary Go. Obama doesn’t have a clue.

Hillary is the only dem I would vote for! Hillary is smart and wise. :)
PEBO is one big?
He hasn’t learned that wise trumps smart. Of course he is really just interested in political expediency. :(

Hillary is wise, smart and experienced! She will be a great SOS! :)
PEBO needs her because he is smart in terms of political expediency but lacks wisdom and experience! :(

So a bunch of crooked politicians are deciding the fate of another crooked politician. What’s new. Like always, this one too will be allowed in to the party. Bunch of thieves….

Hillary Clinton is not only the best choice for Secretary of State, she is the best choice for President of the United States. Mr. Obama is still, I think, an imposter. He was running on change slogan. Then after elected, he said “I cannot change you, you have to change yourself.”

The biggest test fir Hillary will be if she can truly put the policy differences between herself and Obama to rest and articulate the positions of the Obama administration when the pressure is on and as a first response to the next FP crisis.

matt,
What policy differences? Since he was selected as the Democratic nominee, Obama has quietly adopted most of Hillary’s policy positions.
Thank God there will be a grown up to tell Obama what to do because he doesn’t have a clue by himself.
Can you in your wildest dreams imagine Obama sitting in that chair trying to respond to those questions today?

Hillary looks like a defeated presidential candidate, doesn’t she?
Thank God Barack & the Democrat party took her out of running for the high office. In 4 years, no one will care about her any more.

Good luck to Hilary. She’s smart and poised. She’ll be fine. She can take the punches more than anyone. Wish I had 1/2 her strength.

“Matt & Keith, the Analysts earlier, rather concluded ‘they had very similar policy positions.’ Let’s just ‘void out’ the ridiculous comment; “a grown up to tell Obama what to do”
I do have empathy for the ‘Hillary Supporters’ expressing “sour grapes” … over the loss of the nomination. But, even the “Feminist” seem to have ‘gotten over it!’ “Buck-Up” and ‘Get Over It!!!’
