Well done, and now for those who said obama messed up, I guess Justice Roberts set you straight,Justice Roberts admitted he was the one who messed up.

I think it was shortsighted of them not to have rehearsed before hand. They should have at least had a short discussion of where Roberts would pause in the recitation. And Roberts not having it written down was just being unprepared. It was a moment in front of the whole world and they just seemingly breezed into it without any forethought.

Obama looked very nervous and jumped the gun by repeating before the Justice finished the first sentence. Obama screwed it up. Just a preview of what’s to come.

We all make mistakes. But this one when the entire world was witnessing, should not had happened. Nevertheless, the whole event was too good to go without any remarkable mishaps.

I think Obama should team up now with Benjamin Fulford, and fix the economy. So far we dont know how exactly he will do things, his army of advisers may not have the right ideas and solutions. And Obama himself dont have a clue. Many World leaders consult with Benjamin Fulford, and many want him on they’r team. Benjamin have a secret society about 6 million. including about 190 000 ninja warriors. I like his idea about feeding the World population. He say the oceans buttoms are full of reach nutriens, that the fish dont go. So his plan is to have giant pumps pumping the nutrients to the surface of the water to feed the fish around Japan, so all the waters around will be pact with fish and feed the hungry populations around the World. And his ideas on energy is also very good. And im sure Obama knows who he is , and should get this guy on his team.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
You are right, he got ahead of Roberts.
Maybe trying to cover up the Hussien in his name. This was a mistake and one of many, but we won’t hear about the ones that really matter to the USofAA.

I think this is humorous. A nice little bit of humor to add to the memorial events. Now, lets get to work fixing everything that’s broken, which is just about everything, ya?

And ONLY OBAMA would take the oath of office again without the BIBLE. The little things that do not matter to him.

Now it looks not only the Pilots are required to think quickly and make good judgment.
Justice Roberts should had thought quickly on spot and said OK, let us start afresh and do it correctly.

I’m glad a Bible wasn’t used. As an agnostic American I prefer a President that respects the separation of church and state. That book of mythologized history doesn’t need to be included in a ceremony involving an official that is supposed to represent all the people.

Folks need to lighten up. I don’t really care who muffed it..the oath was taken. I am sure it was memorized by both and just flubbed. So what? No harm done…Focus on things far more important…

Much ado about nothing.

The man is lost without a teleprompter.

I am shocked that most comments seem to zero in on either who “screwed up” or likening it to mistakes made in marriage ceremonies. This is different. The redo was an extremely wise decision. Haven’t we learned a whole lot over the past decade? You PLAN for the inevitable. You have to. If a couple of words were said out of order, it probably doesn’t matter but redoing it correctly assures that it won’t.

I am an Obama critic when its called for, but this is all a bunch of useless crap. So what, they messed it up, they fixed it.
No news, controversy or need for this one beyond a light moment we could all use.

BIBLE, SCHMIBLE.
THE CONSTITUTION GUARANTEES THE SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE.
A BIBLE IS NOT REQUIRED.
BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA IS YOUR PRESIDENT NOW.

“THE CONSTITUTION GUARANTEES THE SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE. ”
No it doesnt- otherwise the the bible and the swearing to God wouldnt have been involved in the first place.
But there really is no good reason not use the bible in the first instance but not in the second.

I find the idea that the Chief Justice can mess up, admit his error and correct it the perfect example of humility, honor and the fact that even very intelligent people aren’t perfect.

“Why is the MSM not covering 0bama’s economic advisor stating in Congress that the stimulus package should not go to “white male construction workers”?”
ROFLMAO!
Why should the MSM cover a right wing doctored video?
How is Ashley Todd doing these days?

HH—”The man is lost without a teleprompter.” they are working on the Chief Justice’s telepromter. can’t you give the gentleman some understanding?

William J. LePetomane—”much ado about nothing”; i completely agree with you, sir.

“ROFLMAO!

Did you bother to read Christina Romer’s stimulus jobs projection?
It says in there that she was asked to do a gender breakdown of the projected jobs. 80% of the lost jobs are male, and 49% of the projected jobs are female.

Concerned:
Those rascally rightwingers have posted the following in his name:
“The Stimulus: How to Create Jobs Without Them All Going to Skilled Professionals and White Male Construction Workers “

I truly hope SNL will find humor in and do a sketch about Obama taking the oath over and over and over. Psst… It’s okay to make fun of Obama.

“I truly hope SNL will find humor in and do a sketch about Obama taking the oath over and over and over. Psst… It’s okay to make fun of Obama.”
I think they will.
The guy who played Obama during the election has gotten pretty good at it.

“Are you claiming 0bama’s economic advisor never said:
“I am concerned, as I’m sure many of you are, that these jobs not simply go to high-skilled people who are already professionals or to white male construction workers”?”
There’s an odd cutout in the middle and the audio does not seem to match. Hard to get context from that.
So how’s Ashley Todd doing.

He can swear for the country 10,000 times but he will not protect it, honor it or improve it.
Today he made us less safe.
He makes my blood run cold.

“It says in there that she was asked to do a gender breakdown of the projected jobs. 80% of the lost jobs are male, and 49% of the projected jobs are female.”
Did you also read the part where she talked about hold the during downturns males (among other demographics such as African American, Hispanic & young) tend to suffer disproportionately and during times of unemployment falling they tend to recover at a much faster rate?
And the number was 42% of the new jobs for women who suffered 20% of the payroll cuts (meaning men absrobed 80%)
It is in the light of recovery, once unemployment falls, that males (and other demographics) will catch up by virtue of the power of the free market (based on history) vs purely from the stimulus.

Posted by: Ryan C | January 22, 2009, 5:32 pm 5:32 pm

I thought we were getting rid of the free market?
Anyway it nice that you now agree that its a really issue instead of pretending videos are faked.
Now connect Romer with Reich:
“I’d suggest that all contracts entered into with stimulus funds require contractors to provide at least 20 percent of jobs to the long-term unemployed and to people withincomes at or below 200 percent of the federal poverty level.”
Can I suggest that the long term unemployed may not have the best work skills?
This thing is being sold as helping our “hard working middle class families” but behind the scenes things are being jiggered so they dont get a fair shake.

“I thought we were getting rid of the free market?”
Only if you believe your own rhetoric.
“Anyway it nice that you now agree that its a really issue instead of pretending videos are faked.”
The video is still BS. Its still out of context with the desire to inflame.
It works perfectly on right wingers because it reinforces their petty fears and they think they are viewing source material.
“Can I suggest that the long term unemployed may not have the best work skills?”
Not necessarily. It depends how they are defining long term unemployed.
Many middle mgmt types have become long term unemployed over the last few years.
Not that I am handing instant credit to the work skills of middle mgmt types but you get my point.

Ryan C., before you dig that hole any deeper you may want to see Robert Reich’s blog and his entry of January 8th titled “The Stimulus: How to Create Jobs Without Them All Going to Skilled Professionals and White Male Construction Workers”.

You should try reading the actual article rather than the headline. But thanks for proving my point.
And you can combine what Reich is saying with what Romer has.
They are discussing the same thing, creating new jobs via stimulus vs just restocking or better compensating existing ones.
