Secretary Clinton Greets the Press
EmailABC News’ Martha Raddatz and Jennifer Duck report: Secretary of State Hillary Clinton walked through the press area in the State Deptartment Tuesday and said, "It’s much bigger than the White House press area." Then, the woman who seems far more comfortable with policy talk than small talk sat down at a small table with reporters and took questions for fifteen minutes.
Clinton said that there has been "a great exhalation of breath around the world" since President Barack Obama has become president. She added that this was clear from her conversations with foreign leaders.
The secretary said after a followup that this was not necessarily a "repudiation" of prior policies, but an "excitement" that there is a new direction. Although she did say "there is a lot of damage to repair."
As for the situation in Israel and Gaza, Clinton said that today’s action by Hamas and the attack on the IDF means that the ceasefire "has receded somewhat." She was highly critical of Hamas, and very supportive of Israel.
On Iran, she said there was "a clear opportunity" for the Iranians to engage meaningfully. She said Ambassador Susan Rice’s comments Monday were a restatement of the Obama policy.
As for the missile strikes on Pakistan, Clinton would not confirm the strikes, but did say that in a call to Afghan President Hamid Karzai and Pakistani President Zardari she "personally expressed concern about civilian casualties."
And her first trip abroad?
"We’ll let you know as soon as we get it organized. I’m looking forward to it," Clinton said with a smile.

Obama has opened his mouth to the Muslim World in general and Palestinians in particular but has not extended his heart. He still dictating in civilized way that America cannot dictate anything to Israel what is best for her but still telling Palestinians that he cannot talk with their elected Hamas, Hamas has to accept Isarel’s existance and boarders without having any existance or boarders for Palestinians and he may go on using Veto power is any resolution displeases Israel.Security of Israel is paramount for him but Palestinian’s security or even human rights has no priority.
Mr. President, since last 40 years all American Presidents have used the same unwise, unjust, unfair and WRONG policies to resolve Arab-Israel issue and all have failed miserably. If you want to change that history, You will have to change the POLICY not the Envoys and talks. Sweet or cowboy talks and dictates had invited hatred towards America and it will stop only if we stop our unjust policies.

I agree G W did keep us safe and am grateful for that too. although I did not agree with everything he did. but i am not judging him unkindly either.
Obama on the other hand is dangerous and will be a disaster if left on his own!
which leaves me thankful that we have Hillary who loves her country and is most definitely a natural born American Patriot..

Lies have been told, and a Huge truth has been ignored – by the liberals.
The libs (& Obum) want to negotiate with the terrorists…… Their logic is that we negotiated with the Soviets even at the height of the Cold War (one of Hillary-Dillary Dock’s famous bits of logic). Their logic is flawed:
A terrorist is someone who deliberately targets & attacks Innocent Civilians — Not someone who accidentally bombs civilians when there is good evidence that troops or terrorists are in the building, or when a missile flies ‘off course’ and hits a house (this is why when people try to call US actions terrorism they are showing their Ignorance – or possibly just their liberalism – a good example of why liberals often get called Un-American).
Even at the height of the cold war the Soviets were not doing such. Even they were not attacking innocent civilians and certainly not on a daily basis. They did put down what they called: some insurrections (where the Soviets were obviously in the wrong) but they did not continue after they had put down the uprising, and slaughter innocent civilians indefinitely for the sake of Total Genocide or Ethnic Cleansing purposes. They wanted the population to remain in place, albeit under their control.
When the liberals (Hillary-Dillary, Peppy Peppalosi & others) made this argument the Media just let them get away with it (Of Course we all knew they would).
It may take a little time but we will eventually get around to exposing all the typical liberalistic Media’s Agenda.
The Media may think that if no one calls their bluff in a few days that they are home free.

President Obama has made a wise decision by choosing Hillary Clinton ass Secretary of State. In doing so he recognized her character, popularity and the love and respect most Americans afford her for her acheivements. for the die hard boo hoos who wanted air head and McCain, blame it on her. She cost him the election with her ignorant remarks and both of their inflated egos got in the way of connecting with the real people. Did any of you ever hear of lower income families in the news. Not much HUH. It is always middle class or upper income. Obama knows how to connect with us because he started there and knows what we need. You will be proven wrong. He will be a great president. For the record, I am caucasion and live in the south.

I am very glad that Hillary Clinton is in charge of the State Department, and I also notice that leftist TV media didn’t show the warm and enthusiastic reception that Hillary received when she came to the State Dept. as the new Secretary of State. Why is that?

I think former Pres. Clinton doesn’t really care where the money comes from as long as he can do good work with it. Maybe the bad guys are trying to save their souls by giving Bill the opportunity to do good in the world with their money.

I can’t see her doing much more than looking out for herself and probably stabbing Dear Leader in the back in the meantime. At best, I feel she will do a mediocre job, and, hopefully, not screw it up…but judging by her past lack of success in just about everything (that wasn’t pretty much handed to her) I’m pretty pessimistic.

The Presidency was Hillary’s (until the media and the cowardly superdelegates stole it away from her and gave it to the lil boy who gives big empty speeches). That said….I’m glad she’s at least at the State Dept. She will do us proud at home and abroad. But those of you that say “she’ll keep us safe”. She has no authority to “keep us safe”. That’s not in the scope of her job. That is Obama, the Pentagon, the CIA, the Homeland Sec. Dept., etc. So when we get attacked, don’t blame her…she has no control over it. It’s Obambi’s fault….
