Obamacrat for Palin,
If Republicans wanted to participate in putting the bill together they could have. Instead they wanted to dictate. Losers in elections do not dictate winners do. Republicans saw this early on and decided on a strategy of sniping. And they will continue to snipe throughout this economic recovery.....
P.S - Good luck with Palin. I am sure the mental midget has the all the answers...

Pretty much the whole process is a sham and a waste of time...most of us got the picture way back around Sept 2008...Obama and the Dems were going to win and do something of this magnitude...I guess it's always nice to have cookies and all..

90% of the stocks are NOT owned by 10% of the wealthiest Americans. For crying out loud...why can't people deal in facts instead of what the DNC says?

Why all the GOP chicken littles when the GOP economists are in favor of the bill?
**************************************************
Especially the GOP governors because of the stimulus funding for states.

Just to be clear, journalists, even certain ones from ABC, clamored for and got Obama's autograph as well. Doesn't explain why the press blew the stimulus story though. Why all the GOP chicken littles when the GOP economists are in favor of the bill?

Peach, the stock market's rise or fall has very little to do with consumer confidence. Remember 90% of all stocks are owned by only the richest 10% Americans. And honestly how could anyone know the day the bill was signed whether consumers would feel safe enough to spend money. Sheesh.

Although Obama told us for weeks that the spending bill would increase consumer confidence, we can see from the sell off on Wall Street that it has had the opposite effect. Just as I predicted.

Madame Peach-Why don't you try to learn some economic fundamentals instead of gazing at tea leaves? Hello. Critical recessions don't happen or recover overnight. Apparently, you're in denial of the long term damage enacted by eight years of fiscal irresponsibility.

According to the American Small Business League, 97 percent of all new jobs come from small businesses, i.e., those with fewer than 20 employees, so small businesses are the primary source of real job creation.
So what did Obama do?
Ignored small businesses but rewarded unions and government employees. So much for HIS much vaunted intelligence.
