Mike C- I remembered the excerpt fine. Before spewing ….perhaps you should think a little.
“Thinking about” troubled assets 19 months ago isn’t the same as implementing a solution for them and the other monumental financial problems plaguing financial institutions. That was before the recession which is now threatening to turn into a depression, before the global meltdown, and of course, a significant amount of time before Obama became president and Geithner was confirmed.
Apparently, the slant of the Wa Po and Jake’s report was that Geithner should have been ready and prepared since Giethner “thought about” toxic assets. There’s a world of difference between thinking and knowing about something and implementing that into a solution, particularly with the changes time will be bring. Somehow, the logic that was imparted through the report and to you is that they’re the same.
I think there are definite cognitive or thinking differences between the posters around here, between those that don’t have a tolerance for anything much outside the concrete and simple, and those that do.

Probably because lies to get us into war and secret energy policy meetings are not quite on par with Obama failing to post executive orders/memos in a timely manner.
And since you didn’t care about Bush’s secrecy we can conclude that your caring about Obama’s is far less than sincere.
BTW, since you thought Geithner was scum of the earth for his tax problems, what do you think of Caribou Barbie?

Jake, aren’t you the least bit curious about anything that BHO wrote while at Harvard? That is something that should not have been so secretive so why go to so much trouble to keep it sealed? He got in because of his Muslim friend, right? I have a friend who graduated from Harvard Law a year before him who works w/ the Sydney law firm and not difficult to track. Why the issue? I’d pay to see this.
