that earlier comment should have said that just because I don’t agree with everything she favors doesn’t mean that I cannot still respect her. I respect her as a person who stands up for what she believes even if it isn’t popular with everyone.

As a republican from Arkansas I am proud of Hillary Clinton as Sec. of State. She has accomplished many things in her life in spite of the odds against her. A pastor friend who knows her personally said she is a wonderful Christian and people really misunderstand her. Just because I don’t agree with everything she favors doesn’t mean I can still respect her.

Either way, Obama couldn’t make it through boot camp. The military is for REAL women, not punks like him who talk about an uncle who “liberated Auschwitz”, or “the Vietnam War was over” when he was draft age. BO must be so caught up in his own self importance he doesn’t know that Americans have volunteered for service since the Revolutionary War. I guess his Poli-Sci degree didn’t require American history. School is supposed to compensate for his total lack of job experience, so what’s up with that?
Thankfully women can be more than nurses now as was not the case in the 60′s. The Veteran basher, Janet Napolitano, could use some military experience herself.

I wonder how old some of the folks are here. Hillary is in her 60s. Women in combat is a notion way before her time. I’m a little younger and I can tell you that nursing and teaching and social work were the “big opportunities” for girles/women when I graduated from college … those and the ever-present “secretarial” job. All of these women … Hillary, Condi, Madeline and, even going back to Frances Perkins (you don’t know her, then look it up) — they are pioneers for the rest of us female citizens who are still waiting, since 1776, for a woman POTUS. Now, tell me about Obama’s military service please.

I believe her because I was denied an FHA housing loan thirty some years ago. I also wasn’t allowed to take a shop class in high school.
