Limbaugh Predicts “Ted Kennedy Memorial Health Care Bill”
ABC News’ David Chalian reports: Democrats are eager to keep banging the Rush Limbaugh drum. And today they are seizing on the comments Rush Limbaugh made on his radio show about President Obama’s health care plan, which Limbaugh predicted would be called the "Ted Kennedy Memorial Health Care Bill" by the time it’s over. On his radio show, Limbaugh was criticizing President Obama for not keeping his banking plan front and center and keeping the public focus on that critical problem because, Limbaugh assumes, it would be unpopular to do so. Mr. Limbaugh said that President Obama has now pushed health care reform to center stage because it is "highly visible, news leading, gets a great focus, plus it has the great liberal lion Teddy Kennedy pushing it. Before it’s all over, it will be called the Ted Kennedy Memorial Health Care Bill." The Limbaugh comments echo the inartful comments made by Sen. Jim Bunning (R-Ky.) about Ruth Bader Ginsburg having nine months left to live. Sen. Bunning apologized for those comments and Justice Ginsburg needled him about them today in an interview with USA Today. The executive director of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee called Limbaugh’s comments about Sen. Kennedy "truly outrageous." "”Leader Limbaugh crossed the line. National Republicans must stand up to their leader, Rush Limbaugh, and tell him that enough is enough,” said Brian Wolff. This comes after a week of Limbaugh- based fundraising and grassroots appeals from the DNC and the Democratic campaign committees on the Hill. Former DNC Chairman Terry McAuliffe, a gubernatorial candidate in Virginia this year, has also used the Limbaugh controversy to push his potential Republican opponent to distance himself from Limbaugh.

Limppig is the last guy who should be criticizing anything to do with health care. He looks like he is ready for a stroke, aneurysm or heart attack any minute. Ted Kennedy looks better at 77 years old even with brain cancer than Limbdrug looked ten years ago.

Don’t hold your breath… The GOP will never go against their one true leader! What a jerk! Health care reform is crucial to improving the economy. Had we had Clinton’s health care reform, GM would still be vibrant (that’s just one of many examples). We’ve been waiting 100 years for health care reform, since Teddy Roosevelt first brought it up… there’s no time like the present to get it fixed!

Limbaugh will fade back away as soon as someone in the Republican party takes leadership. He’s only the main leader now because he didn’t take any hits and stature damage in the 2008 election like the rest of the party.

Two things bother me. One …why does anyone care if the rich have to contribute at the same rate us average guys do, the rich will still be rich they just will have to spend more time figuring ways to get out of being taxed. So tax guys win. TWO why do rich people seem to get so upset every time health care comes up, they usually start screaming socialism, and make it sound like they personally will have to foot your health care cost . Not that everyone will get the same care only they will suffer at I guess my expense. Just curious.

Rush is so yesterday – he was Monday’s news – today is Friday and who cares about him. The folks that listen to talk radio – need to get a grip. Usually they are old retired angry men. Who hate anyone who challenges them on any issue. Have control issues and hate women. Just like rush.
Ignore him – spring is just around the corner!

Limbaugh isn’t even worth the space they use to comment about what he says and does. The GOP needs to get their act together and allowing this man to take the lead in their party is totally foolhardy.

Let’s see if some Republican congressman denounces him so they can use the ready made Rush apology. As for Limbaugh….why anyone would ever take him seriously is beyond my comprehension. Then again I could never understand how around 30% of the country continued to believe GWB was doing a good job.

It’s pretty commonly acknowledged that Teddy has weeks, not months, to live. While that might be speculation, it’s at least widely accepted and reflective of insider information.
I really doubt Bunning had insider knowledge on Ginsburg’s status.

For you kook’s who probably have never listened to Rush. Please crawl back in your holes.
Limbaugh is one of the only voices of reason out in the media. He supports traditional morals and values. What the heck is wrong with that.
He support good old capitialism. It works my friends, better than socialism.
So, when you find your personal freedoms gone and your pocket books empty and the government bankrupt, maybe then you might say …

I just blogged “Tony Snow cancer deserved” and came up with the following link:
http://www.aim.org/wls/tony-snow-deserves-cancer/
Charles Karel Bouley
“Huffington Post” writer and ABC radio talk show host.
“I hear about Tony Snow [and his colon cancer] and say to myself, well, stand up every day, lie to the American people at the behest of your dictator-esque boss and, well, how could a cancer not grow in you? Work for Fox News, spinning the truth into a billion knots and how can your gut not rot?”

So in other words, it was the Huffington Post not Daily Kos, it was a radio blowhard (probably with an audience of dozens), and no member of the DNC nor elected Democrat official ever gave him the time of day.
Gotta say, having been proven unusually dead on with my initial position so far I’m not sure what I’m googling for.

Rush Limbaugh is such a narcissist I doubt it occurred to him that such a comment was out of line. It’s all about him, and as far as he’s concerned everyone else was born only to serve him in some way. He’s a social inadequate who’s failed three times at marriage. Once or even twice is understandable, but three times?
Remind me: what exactly has Rush ever done, in his entire life, for anyone else? In an altruistic sense, not expecting something in return?

Rush is almost singlehandedly destroying the Dem party, not the GOP. I am going to predict right now that the GOP will be the mojority in the senate after 2010 and in the House, Speaker Cantor will lead his party of 250+ back to victory, and then 2012, when the emperor is dethroned and sent back to the south side of chicago

I for one will CELEBRATE the demise of everyone of these old codgers who for too many years have passes the legislation that has closed American businesses and sent those jobs overseas. These GREEN agendas have only marginally effected the environment and have built upour competition / enemies overseas and enslaved AMERICA to these needless hurdles. Add on their stance on ILLEGAL IMIGRATION which only worsens the standard of living of each of us AND THIS IS WHAT WE GET. The false battle around the war in Iraq gets the ignorant class motivated and in comes Nancy and Harry. Where was the market then, where was the WORLD back then? The market was in the stratosphere, the economy was plugging along and the entire world knew that the engine of capitalism was the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Four months later the longest campaign in the history of America began. Hillary, Barrack and all the rest crusaded about how they were goiong to CHANGE it all. THE WORLD RESPONDED – THE IGNORANT AND MIS-INFORMED came to their feet and roared for a new Mesiah and behold the promises HAVE NOT been kept. Every day that passed it became clear that the Democrats were going to win and the Socialist agenda was going to be in power the markets TANKED. For a while the world assumed it would be Hillary and there was faith that the changes were going to be similar to changes we have seen with regime changes previously and the decline was of uncertainty and with restraint. Fast forward to the coronation of B.H.O. and the downhill race to cripple the populace began in earnest. The world saw that this great engine of capitalism was GONE and they had NO CONFIDENCE VOTES ON A DAILY BASIS EVERY SINGLE SECOND SINCE THEN. How low must it go before the true revolt begins?
This is not only a rage against PROGRESSIVES it is truly a rant against LONGEVITY in our Congress and Senate. I believe that MOST of the problems each side has with government could QUICKLY BE ACHEIVED with one simple step, A Constitutional Amendment implementing TERM LIMITS on Senators and our Representatives. I personally would address their term lengths and would lengthen the term of office of the House and shorten the Term length in the Senate. Furthermore I would want a “24 month “cooling off” period between service dates and the registration to serve in another elected capacity. No more sitting politicians on the campaign trail for :Higher” office. 18 years is WAY TOO MUCH TIME for any single POLITICIAN of any party. Let us bring back the citizen Patriots to our government and permanently dispose the professional politician. That will be SIMPLE TO ACCOMPLISH – cut the benefits eliminate the pensions REQUIRE a successful independent class of society to govern and we will all be better off. Today’s crop of geezers are still fighting yesteryears battles to the detriment of us all. God Blessed this Country, the “pursuit of happiness” assumes a stance that it must be “pursued” in order to be obtained. Close the Border – stop looking the other way and eliminate the illegal workforce via STRICT PUNISHMENT OF EMPLOYERS, Let failing businesses fail and pay the piper. PROGESSIVE interference with natural law got us into this mess in the first place. Common sense needs to be restored. If it is not self sustaining ALLOW IT / THEM TO DIE! Darwin had it right. See the Black and white, see what is CONCRETE and realize that the gray area is a NO period NO.

The bill probably WILL be named after Kennedy.

There is nothing hateful about what Rush said. Nothing. Ted Kennedy is ailing and the bill will probably be named in his honor. It’s Teddy’s signature issue. Liberals are just hate mongers.

1. Limbaugh should be Worried that his Over Weight, Fat and Very Bloated ….A!!
Will be around for Obama’s Health Care Plan to be Implemented.
2. Rush Limbaugh had better get the Lap Band or Liposuction Soon, or he won’t be Around for Obama’s Plan.
3. Rush had better Run from the Table opposed to camping Out at the Table.
4. Rush had Better start the [[All Water Diet]] to Ensure his Fat A!! is around, to see Obama’s Universal Health care Implemented.
5. Rush Limbaugh: “McCain will Win Novemember 4, 08″
Sarah Palin is the “Real Thing”
PiYush “Bobby” Jindal is the Next ..Ronald Wilson Reagan”
Now Fat Boy Limbaugh, is Reading Ted Kennedy’s Obituary !!
—————-
If Limbaugh is Correct and Ted Kenndy does Die…
I Garauntee You, Here and Now….
Obama will get [[Universal Health Care]] Passed Quicker than, if Kennedy Himself were Alive and Speeding the Process along.
Limbaugh is a Very Evil, Wicked and Vile…
Low Life !!

…….And the prescription portion of the program will be the Rush Limbaugh Black Market Prescription Program. In this plan you can keep getting as many prescriptions of narcotic drugs as you want. The problem is you have to be wealthy enough to have a housekeeper who can buy them for you.

The question is what will Rush’s memorial be?
Posted by: Rich | March 7, 2009, 7:48 pm 7:48 pm
It is the equivilent of wishing someone dead.
Posted by: Rich | March 7, 2009, 7:50 pm 7:50 pm
Curious why Rush got no jail time for illegal drug use. Do you suppose W and his minions pulled some strings? Maybe Yoo rendered an opinion?? Also seems odd that sponsors wouldnt back off. Ordinary folks would get some jail time. But when you are the leader of the Repuglican Parties, you can do what you want, with no restrictions put on you. I know if I was a repuglican and my leader was a druggie I would say that I , in no way agree with the dopehead. But you will notice that doesnt happen with Repugliccons. Maybe he gets their stash for them? They stuck with Nixon a long time , and like now they recommend we not look into Bush’s wrongdoing. I see a pattern here.

Limbaugh is the 21st century’s JOE McCARTHY. Jos quieted down when confronted by the word DECENCY but Limbaugh just keeps blabbering on. He blows the same hot air from both sides of his body; that’s what he trives on.
Posted by: maximus | March 7, 2009, 9:09 pm 9:09 pm
Hey maximus, I know you probably don’t read much or pay much attention to history, but are you not aware that Joe McCarthy was basically correct? The left spent years deriding him as a paranoid witch hunter, but when the USSR collapsed and the KGB files were opened, you know what? It turned out he was right. There were indeed communists at high levels of the US government, just as he said.
So in a sense it does make sense to bracket Limbaugh and McCarthy together. Both told the truth about the left, and as a result both were hated and demonized by the left.
The difference is that today the liberal media no longer has its monopoly, which means that unlike McCarthy, Rush is able to fight back. He uses his microphone day in and day out against the lying control freaks of the left. And what’s great is that he usually wins.
Rush is fighting the good fight against the liberal fascists.

Limbaugh is a truly sad individual.
The important thing that people need to remember is how much we need health care reform. Please don’t listen to the right wing lies this time. The only winners with the current health care system are the insurance companies. This is the people vs. the insurance companies. Whose side are you on? Are you on the side of the American people or the fat cat business men who have screwed this country into the ground with the help of George W. Bush and the rest of the GOP?
Posted by: John Davis | March 9, 2009, 12:36 am 12:36 am
Oh come on people. I dislike Rush Limbaugh as much as the rest of you but at least have enough decency to use his name. All of you make fun of someone’s name because you have no better way to express your outrage at their action. Grow up a little and learn how to talk about your feelings without resorting to making fun of someone’s name.

Rush loves money more than America. If he can make a buck dividing Americans, he will. Rush and Republicans are the best allies the Terrorists could ever hope for. Conservatives in the United States are about the same as Conservatives in Iran……the only difference? A turban…..

You can’t insult the Kennedys! Teddy is the last of Joe Kennedy’s 4 millionaire playboy sons, throughout Teddy’s political career he has done everything he could do to trash America and turn our country into an overpopulated unlivable socialist hell as well as to prop up the arrogant, morally corrupt Church of Rome. Teddy has benefited greatly from his father’s billions $$$ as well as his network of sycophants and spin-doctors who covered his pathetic bum time after time with their creative lies. If Edward Kennedy’s father hadn’t been a billionaire stock manipulator, bootlegger and crime boss, it would be likely that he would have spent his life working in a fast food restaurant.

Limppig is the last guy who should be criticizing anything to do with health care. He looks like he is ready for a stroke, aneurysm or heart attack any minute. Ted Kennedy looks better at 77 years old even with brain cancer than Limbdrug looked ten years ago.
OMG – What an A^&^H***E!!!
Rush’s FAT, GREASY A##$# will be dead long before Senator Teddy Kennedy is. Rush LimpBrain there is a very WARM and special place reserved for you for the rest of eternity…
OMGosh Limbaugh is such a MORON. I cant believe anyone with an ounce of common sense would care what he thinks.

Feel the Love!
Well, I can tell you all you liberal attack dogs this. Rush Limbaugh has not KILLED anyone!!!!
The fact the Kennedy kept his seat after 1969 is enough of an insult. To now name some huge goverment program in his honor is ABSURD!!!!!
Perhaps before criticizing Limbaugh on this one, you should first look at who it is they are attemting to honor!
If Kennedy had even one ounce of self respect left in that pickled brain of his, he would demand this so-called healthcare plan be named after Mary Jo Kopechne.
It is an insult to her memory & her family that HE is being “honored” at all.
“what exactly has Rush ever done, in his entire life, for anyone else? In an altruistic sense, not expecting something in return?”
What does this have to do with ANYTHING?
Limbaugh is not saying he should be thought of in that context at all.
Rush is a self-made person. He had no family wealth to give him status if life as Kennedy did. What do you think would have happened to a 37-yr old Limbaugh if he had the same incident that Kennedy had at 37 years of age?
I’m pretty sure he would not have just kept going with his life like nothing had ever happened.

It’s pretty difficult to envision restoring civility to political discourse when you have people like Limbaugh and Coulter being paid handsomely to keep it at its coarsest and most degrading level.
Posted by: Bropklyn Democrat | March 9, 2009, 2:12 pm 2:12 pm
Which is so terribly unfair given how civil the left tends to be in its discourse.

Rush should be happy about a possible health care reform, then he could get all his illegal narcotics, that he still uses, free. Does anyone doubt this man is OFF DRUGS??? You know if I wanted to put someone as head of the party I deem my party, it wouldn’t be a man that has no remorse for the crime he committed to get his illegal drugs, and feed his habit. Even if he was clean from them, I wouldn’t want to follow someone so New to sobritey as Rush. (That’s just assuming he is clean, and we know what assuming gets us) This man is a PIG, a horrible stain on society, that needs to be wiped off…Quit listening to him, and he will go away. Hopefully.

Mike_C- you are an idiot. I would like to let my liberal attack dog loose, on you!
Posted by: Kirsten Salzano | March 11, 2009, 1:49 pm 1:49 pm
Kirsten, you seem a little confused.
It was you guys — your president in fact — who has tried to crown Rush the leader of the Republicans, not us. Rush has refused that role repeatedly (which in a way is unfortunate since his intelligence, commitment to principle, and mad skilz at lampooning the ‘Rats would make him a blast to watch in action).
By the way, how is it Obama doesn’t have time to find a non-insulting gift for the Brit PM yet still has time to plot a Nixonian strategy against a member of the media he doesn’t like?
How is it that he has time to screw around with Rush but doesn’t seem real motivated to deal with the banks?
And as for the drugs thing — YAWN. Rush faced his drug problem openly and with no excuses, which is impressive.
Rush has more character in his little finger than Obama has in his entire passive-aggressive, small-souled, humorless, incompetent self.

In memory of Senator Kennedy for all his achievements as visionary, Politician , leader and distinguished human being- we will remember Ted most for his compassionate spirit, his sense of fairness and the vigor of his commitment to the cause of freedom and equal rights in the America as we know it now- we mourn his passing but will be forever grateful that he lived. Ted was indeed a true American who fought for people who have no voice and perhaps this country will put a side Pickering and act on a fair and meaningful health care reform that will honor Ted’s Legacy

AND LIMBAUGH WAS 1000% RIGHT!! The dems are coming out in force in favor of naming this disgusting health care act after him. What a bunch of lying, hypocritical morons. Everyone commenting on ted kennedy has mentioned naming the bill for him. Gotta love the libs. Hurry up 2010!
Posted by: Huh?? | August 26, 2009, 6:00 pm 6:00 pm
RIP Ted Kennedy. The silver-lining of his passing is all his accomplishments will be brought to light as the world memorializes him over the coming weeks.
All the right-wing blowhards can’t erase the facts and the record.
And one of the biggest ironies is how Kennedy really did fight like hell for everyone. Even the poor, under-educated, unemployed, bible-beating, blue-collar guy who just regarded Kennedy as a punch-line. Kennedy fought for them, too.
PS: I am so grateful that I don’t have to wake up every morning and look in the mirror and see Rush Limbaugh’s face looking back at me. I don’t know how he does it.

I never knew about all the small things Ted Kennedy did for so many people.this may not to have anything to do with the subject, but it would be nice if a bill for health care would be passed in his name.We all make mistakes and i bevelie he paid for his.As far as Rush what can you say about a drug addict?
Posted by: irma | August 28, 2009, 7:54 pm 7:54 pm
The comments I heard on Rush today were that of a madman–to slam Kennedy with his comments about Chapaquidick were just plain stupid—once again an attempt to re-charge his base of low intelect fools. They believe his every word as tho he were the second coming.People!!!! Challenge every word he says—-he is a master spin meister—for example– the story—-Rush in a car race that Kennedy is also in–when the race is over he says–he came in second—and–Kennedy came in next to last—the statement is true on both facts——but Rush left out a small detail——there were only two cars in the race—now the whole story comes out and guess what—–Kennedy wins!!!!—–this is how Rush spins his crap and gets away with it——-but he only gets away with it—with truely dumb people

Fast forward to August and what do we have the Dems promoting: The Ted Kennedy Memorial Health Care Plan.
Priceless.
Posted by: Yossarian | August 29, 2009, 12:43 am 12:43 am
Was he right, or was he right? The following quotes at the Ted Kennedy funeral service on August 29, 2009 ONCE AGAIN demonstrate why Rush IS America’s Anchorman, and that he IS right 98.6% of the time.
GRANDCHILD KILEY KENNEDY: When people think of Ted Kennedy, they think about the man who changed the lives of millions by fighting for THE better health care.
CARDINAL THEODORE MCCARRICK: …By his passion for adequate health care.
FATHER MARK HESSION: …The needs of the poor, social justice, health care.
JOE KENNEDY II: If people don’t have health insurance, you stay in the race.
SENATOR CHRIS DODD: …Every American, regardless of the economic status. be granted the right to decent health care.
BOSTON MAYOR TOM MENINO: We will have reforms in health care for Ted Kennedy.
VIETNAM VETERAN JOHN KERRY: He labored with all of his might to make health care a right for all Americans, and we will do that in his honor.
OBAMA: …A veritable force of nature in support of health care.
MAX ALLEN (GRANDCHILD): For what my grandpa calls the cause of his life — in every part of this land, that every American will have decent quality health care as a fundamental right, and not a privilege — we pray to the lord.
