The only was to get this Congress to reign in it’s
spending, is for the Chinese to sell some of there debt at a loss. This would cause an artificial rise in the interest rate, making it almost impossible for the U.S.
to sell any new debt, at anything like the low, present
interest rate. Rates would soar, interest rates would rise (remember the Carter era??). Easy money would be nothing but a dream. Don’t think this could happen, think again. We may get there faster than you think!!

Go KATE gO, Thank you for a little sanity. this budget will be a disaster at best. Large amounts of government spending will damage the economy. Every dollar the government spends it must first take from somebody, if only to pay the intrest or debt. Taking that much money out of the economy in the form of (profits, or money for people or companys to borrow) will cause high intrest rates, high inflation, and more unemployment. Read a little history folks; this isn’t rocket science and the one thing I can promise is that there will be consquences. It has to be Fiscal responsibility and getting our financial house in order first.
This budgets price tag is niether responsible nor moral. An energy policy the the government must subsidize, that doesn’t include more of our own oil, natural gas, or nuclear will just make energy more expensive for everyone. Cap and trade that taxes companies to deal with make believe global warming will make us less competative. Government controlled health care would be stageringly expensive while delivering an inferior product. It doesn’t work anywhere. Read history, look at the facts. This has been tried and it won’t work.

i am always amazed when people/politcians whine about the debt we are going to leave our children and grandchildren…dear lord, that question has been asked by every generation, every budget year, since the beginning of time. no matter what we do or what we cut there will always be a debt to our children, get over it already. the GOP (aka grumpy old polticians) think they have the ability to make it all go away. hey, if it could be done then it would be done.
nancy pelosi is really getting on my nerves as well. i think she is a closet rush limbaugh follower. why on earth does she consistantly try to undermind the president. i think like rush and the gop she wants him to fail. why is and the house trying to stop the tax cuts for most that the president campaigned on. isn’t she suppose to help not hinder. the house and the senate have both been an obstacle in getting anything done. i also think that she believes that she is in charge not just of the house but country.
these are my thoughts for now, i’m sure i’ll have more to say later, i’m disabled so i have all day to write comments or write the white house and the congress of what i think. i really like have access to the government via my computer…TTFN
