Bo-Dacious: The Adventures of the First Dog, Part 2
EmailABC News’ Karen Travers reports: President Obama currently has two books on the New York Times’ best seller list. But soon he may have some serious competition from the newest member of his household — yes, Bo Obama is getting the literary treatment. The Obamas new Portugese water dog will be the subject of an upcoming children’s book, “Bo, America’s Commander in Leash,” expected in stores at the end of April. The book, as first reported by the New York Times, is written by Naren Aryal and illustrated by Danny Moore. Aryal, founder of Mascot Books, a publishing company that focuses on books about university and school mascots, told the Times that he and Moore had been working on the book for about two months but had left blank space for pictures of the first dog once it was chosen. Bo made his triumphant debut at the White House yesterday, posing for pictures and running around for a short time on the South Lawn with Malia and Sasha Obama. The New York Times reports that neither girl will be a part of the book because the authors wanted to protect their privacy. Perhaps Bo will follow in the paw-steps of Millie, the dog of former President George H.W. Bush and his wife Barbara, who “dictated” a book to the first lady about her time in the White House. — Karen Travers

I think its adorable. It’s okay for for Barbara Bush to have a “Millie” book, but as soon as a book about “Bo” comes out, the Republican nit wits get all upset. hahahah the next 4 years will be so much fun, upsetting Republicans
