I wish you’d do a real story like one about the congressional testimony of Dr. Norman Matloff regarding U.S. labor and outsourcing costs. Save your job and a lot of fellow Americans why don’t ya!

Did congress tell President Obama to go to Europe and start negotiating a new treaty with Russia or as usual he had done what every he wants?

Hey Concerned, that was cold. I quite like the first lady but I did chuckle at your Klingon comment. I do reserve the right to go off alone and laugh hysterically. Ok, I’m cool now. Leave my girl alone.

A new day to Obamz is forgetting about Russia’s provocative marches into Georgia, it’s attempt to stranglehold Europe and the Ukraine.
I wish the press would spend a little more time reminding the public why EVERYONES relationship was so tenous with Russia.

William:”Did congress tell President Obama to go to Europe and start negotiating a new treaty with Russia”
The president can negotiate whatever treaty he sees fit, then Congress can choose to ratify it or not. It is clear that he has the advice of Congress on opening these negotiations (Obama passed a law regarding nuclear proliferation during his short stint in the Senate, and Sen Lugar called the announcement “Lugar called the joint declaration “almost breathless in its optimism and scope.”). This is pretty basic US Constitution 101 – I assume you’re not an American or you’d have picked this up in 5th grade.

William 9:27- You need a lesson in process. I’ll oblige. The President is responsible for negotiating treaties. The Senate gives its advice and consent once they’re submitted.

Wow, what a breakthrough, reducing nuclear warheads from 4500 to 3000. I’m feeling safer already!!!

All the people that supported George Bush as just as idiotic as he is..they now criticize Obama for everything he does. Its refreshing to have an intelligent, articulate president and not be the laughing stock of the world anymore.

@Brenda
Reducing from 4500 to 3000 may not be much but at least its a start! Its better than not getting anywhere (vis a vis) your great leader George Bush

Just look at the warm and personal reception the Obamas have received in Europe. I wonder how this makes the anti-Obama Americans feel? Stupid?

It’s not just me. The number of women and children being attacked and killed in their own homes IS increasing, a lot.
A 37% increase in Florida. In all of 2008, 14,000 women sought shelter from violence in Florida. Already, in the first three months of 2009, 8,000 women have fled their homes, usually with their children. If the rate continues, the one year increase will be from 14,000 to 32,000. Stunning.
In New York state local police are noting a “string of violent attacks on women in Niagra County.” Some local women and women politicians (Vote FOR Women!) are doing something about it.
In Chula Vista, California the calls to help lines from terrorized women and children have doubled over the 2008 rate. Elsewhere in Southern California police departments are bracing for increases in attacks and murders.
In Chicago, where men kill a woman in their family an average of once a week, in a state where the police recorded more than 95,000 wife-attacks in a single year, and where the city’s police officers arrested 13,000 men in one year for attacking their wives or girlfriends, the state’s domestic violence website hasn’t been updated in two years.
In Michigan, Genesee County (which includes Flint) has the highest per capita rate of woman-lynching of any county. The rate of felonious attacks increased 50% from 2006 to 2007 with another similar increase in 2008.
Nationwide, there has been an increase of at least 21% in attacks reported to the National Domestic Violence Hotline.

Many non-Obama supporters like the President and his family. I am one of them..I am proud of this visit and am not surprised (ever/anywhere) by the popularity of the Obamas. What some don’t like is the heavy handedness and liberality of the Obamanation.

“In any case, the touch lasted just a second or two, and the Queen did not seem particularly perturbed — though she appeared slightly surprised as she drew away.”
It had all the charm of George Bush’s goosing Angela Merkel. Of course “the Queen did not seem particularly perturbed” AFTER recoiling from being grabbed: she’s the Queen — she couldn’t very well slap her.

The Russians are building the Iranian nuke reactor. And Obama thinks they are going to help stop Iran’s nuclear ambitions?
Obambi.

@clarity – Warm reception? I guess you are missing the tens of thousands of violent protestors in the streets of London and the tens of thousands of police to protect Obama & the rest.

“Warm reception? I guess you are missing the tens of thousands of violent protestors in the streets of London and the tens of thousands of police to protect Obama & the rest”
The protest was estimated at around 4000 but hey as a right winger facts are only useful if they forward the meme.
