To Tyler – FALSE: “Obama loves the troops so much he was willing to make them pay for their own health care.”
Not true. There was never a “Proposal”, it was one of many items discussed, but it was never a proposal.
In his budget, which is a proposal, Obama asks for an INCREASE in money for troops, support, and VA services… all an increase over what was provided under Bush.
That is a fact.

Obama and his budget INCREASE funding for supporting and caring for our troops.
- Additional funds for people, for care, and for VA services.
Obama supported the 21st century GI Bill last year, while Bush and McCain did not.
