Not a single question about how his budget numbers are not beginning to square with US GDP figures.
Apparently, the entire WH press corps has swallowed the kool aid when it comes to this President and the rising deficit and debt.
Is the President going to cut more fromt he budget, raise taxes, or do nothing to make up the projected shortfall?
Why is he getting a pass here?

The problem with these prime time press conferences is that President Obama doesn’t get challenged. The format doesn’t really allow it. So he goes on primetime with a huge platform to say whatever he wants, even if it isn’t factually accurate.
He did help create the deficit we have now, and he’s increasing it.
He isn’t a victim of circumstance.
Churchill did say Britain didn’t torture, but what they actually did was much worse than anything in our enhanced interrogation techniques.
*Why* does he think we could have gotten the information from KSM without using those techniques? What if he couldn’t? A president has to do more than create some phony moral stand.
He misrepresents what people opposing him want, then calls for bipartisanship.
And finally- 150,000 saved or created jobs. Really?

I watched America’s Next Top Model and American Idol. It doesn’t look like I missed anything from the 100 Day Love Fest. Mostly, messages of love and support from the press.
Jake, you must feel like you are a lonely little petunia in an onion patch.

How come nobody asked about taking over GM, and handing 40% of it over to the UAW? Any interest in the fact that unions are taking ownership of large corporations? Everyone okay with that?
Banks are next.

What important things are being slipped past the American people while we focus on the swine non-event.

No questions about the UAW being given nearly 40% of GM?

“During these first 100 days, what has surprised you the most about this office? Enchanted you the most from serving in this office? Humbled you the most? And troubled you the most?”
- Jeff Zeleny, NY Times
This is what serves as the press these days. Zeleny sounds like he works for People Magazine.

Talk about seeing people grovel.
Two wars are funny? This is Kafkaesque.

“Asked whether their opinion of the president is favorable or unfavorable, 49 percent of whites in the Times poll say they have a favorable opinion of Obama. Among blacks the number is 80 percent.”

Senior FBI agents stationed in Iraq in 2004 claimed in an e-mail that President George W. Bush signed an executive order approving the use of military dogs, sleep deprivation and other harsh tactics to intimidate Iraqi detainees.
The FBI e-mail — dated May 22, 2004 — followed disclosures about abuse of Iraqi detainees at Abu Ghraib prison and sought guidance on whether FBI agents in Iraq were obligated to report the U.S. military’s harsh interrogation of inmates when that treatment violated FBI standards but fit within the guidelines of a presidential executive order.
According to the e-mail, Bush’s executive order authorized interrogators to use military dogs, “stress positions,” sleep “management,” loud music and “sensory deprivation through the use of hoods, etc.” to extract information from detainees in Iraq, which was considered a violation of the Geneva Conventions. Bush has never before been directly linked to authorizing specific interrogation techniques at Guantanamo or Abu Ghraib. Bush has admitted, however, that he personally signed off on the waterboarding of three “high-value” prisoners.

Hyena:
This is actually a not-uncommon species of eliminationist rhetoric, since these kinds of discussions are essentially exercises in imagining the world with a whole class of people effectively excised.
“.. another example of a really bizarre genre of conservative writing, which I call ‘If Only Those People Weren’t Here.’”

Looks like most of the press has been bought and paid for by the Obama administration.
I guess we had better enjoy JT while we have him. I am sure he will be receiving orders to report to an “Re-Education Camp” soon.

Those of you suggesting that questions are pre-approved…don’t you think that’s something that would have gotten out by now? Do you think the administration has some super powers that keep the “free press” from outing them on something like that? NO FREAKING WAY are questions set up. JT is a prime example.

Silky….
You are quite mistaken if you think that the Prez don’t pick the people from a list WITH their questions up front!
The Media and Team Obama don’t want the TOTUS to stumble and fall on National TV ….looking dumb.
Think about this…..10 mins. spent on opening delivery and the rest of the time spent answering 13 questions. He called the peoples names out and every one was up front. If that ain’t what you’d call “CANNED” then you refuse to deal with reality.
At any rate….it was a snoozer and lacked substance of any kind, way, shape or form. B-O-R-I-N-G!!
