Hannity: Obama Continues ‘Apology Tour’ in Cairo

Having Sean Hannity comment on national politics is akin to having Oprah comment on the dangers of childhood vaccines.
Is that the best you can do, GMA?

Are you guys for real? Why would you post this? Sean Hannity is nothing but a propagandist who cares about one thing…his ratings. Seriously, ABC News is supposed to be a legitimate news organization.
I cannot understand how you could ever justify this. Really sad.

When someone makes a mistake, an apology is expected, if no apology takes place, it stirs emotions of anger, some fanatics act on their anger1. Directly and indirectly, more than a million iraqis died from Bush’s lies to the world, I think the least that can be done is to apologize. ALthough I don’t think Obama’s tour is an apology, yet it’s a wonderful gesture that America still stands for democracy and freedom, and has not become another Iran. Thank you Obama, truly!!!!

And we care what this jerk says because? Obama needs to apologize for the arrogance and lack of integrity the US showed during the last 8 years. It was a PR disaster both with our allies and with the Muslim world. Obama is trying to open dialog as opposed to creating hostility towards the US. I am extremely proud of our president. He is doing a great job, the republican know it, and their arrogance won’t let them admit it. They will continue on their path of divisivness, hatred, and racism as long as the rest of the republican party sits back and allows them to disgrace the party.

I agree 100% with Sean. Obama is a Muslim President. Tells Israel what to do while telling Muslims US shouldn’t tell any country what to do. 100′s of thousand out of work because of his closed car dealership that were TOLD to close. I hope this means ABC is becoming more fair and balanced than in the past–you can see by the comments that liberals are not used to being challenged on this network–keep up the good work, ABC–Hannity always has liberals and Dems on his programs.

I have to say I am SHOCKED that ABC has an opposing point of view on. My daughter said you were becoming more balanced and not just bowing down to the hateful liberals that I see posting above. Funny Obama wants dialogue and different points of views to be accepted too bad the liberals and mainstream media and he doesn’t with GOP in this country.

And he should. The last 8 years of American bullying and arrogance did not endear us to anyone around the world except the radical right in this country. Our lack of integrity will take years to repair, not just a speach by a President trying to fix years of distrust and animosity towards American the world over. Add to that the lies and the deceit of the Bush administration and you have a PR nightmare that somehow has to be addressed. I applaud President Obama for his effort to bring back dignity to the USA and the American people. I know I am much more proud and hopeful than I have been in a long,long time.

A simple “THANK YOU ABC” for making the effort to having opposing views on your program. If more networks would do that and then let the people make up their OWN minds rather than being told what to think – I really believe network ratings would INCREASE rather than their current trending down. So thank you. I don’t have to agree with a position when I listen to it but it is a freedom I fought for that it be heard in the United States.

There was a time when an apologist was one who defended a concept or idea. The Apology to the Augsburg Confession was written as a defense for what was stated in the Augsburg Confession of 1530.
The President is on a tour to build up the integrity of the United States in the world. In essence that is to defend our position in the world. This arrogance gave birth to the phrase “ugly American” several years ago. I think the President is working to remove that negative image and doing it well.

I loved GWB and RR but would never elevate them and compare them to Jesus.By the same token, GWB did not have the power to create all that hate–it was there before him–you are crediting mere mortals with superhuman power. “ugly American” was around the globe 30 years ago way before either Bush’s day.I lived in Canada during Carter’s reign and was called “ugly American”, then–in a joking manner, I believe.

Comments of this sort make me wonder what life at home must be for this guy. He must be just as big a bully at home as he is on tv. If he makes a mistake and hurts a family member, does he deny that he did it or pretend that nothing happened under the assumption that everyone will just get over it.
I don’t think international relations are much different than home life in this regard. If you make a mistake, admit it, apologize for it if necessary and then get on with it. That’s all The President is doing. And he certainly didn’t lay all the blame at America’s feet.

I dont mind what Hannity said but he has his own platform to promote. I hate that GMA holds him up as some sort of Middle East expert or Foreign Policy expert. If they wanted a true conservative point of view why not get someone who has actually studied Middle Eastern and/or Muslim policies. Call Condi or some other high ranking conservative official. The Conservative Republicans are becoming a bunch of caricatures full or tv host and radio host that only want to make a dollar. Sorry. If I needed a reminder of why I prefer the Today Show over GMA, hearing Sean Hannity did it.

I have listened to the speech and was thrilled at the applause the President received. He is showing that respect is earned not bullied. The audience cheers and applause makes me hopeful that the respect this president has already, will just continue to invade the Muslim world so that we can start active dialog again. What part of this is so hard for people to understand? It is common sense that a President from America who speaks of unity and our similarities as opposed to our differences are what we should focus on. The people who are disatisfied with the leaders of their Muslim countries, and their repressive plight, may see that the West is not their enemy, and will stand up to the oppressive regimes and leaders that rule their countries. This is how it starts folks. People don’t want to be oppressed and want to look to a better life such as is possible in the Western culture. What Bush and Cheney did was allowed these radical leaders to justify their hatred of America, and to rally their countrymen to despise the American philosophy at the time.

For those wondering why ABC had the audacity to print ANYTHING a little right of center – - – they may be trying to save their ever-sinking ratings. It is about time some other points of view were expressed on liberal media outlets

Why does this blatantly baised Fox News hack get airtime from legitimate media outlets like GMA?
He goes completely unchallenged as he reels off a string of half truths and distortions designed to do nothing else but hurt the President and Democrats and further the Republican cause.
He did everything but say that the President was some sort of “undercover Muslim trying to destroy America from the inside”.
Why does GMA let him get away with saying that America is a “Christian country”? I’m a Christian and know that is a completely unamerican idea that is offensive to millions of Americans of other religions. What every happened to the separation of church and state?

Sifto77 and Jim are just a little out of touch. First FOX is by no means ‘fair and balanced’. Second; it’s sad but past American foreign policies are worth appologizing for, and moving away from. Vietnam did not give anyone freedom, it cost millions of people their lives. And it’s also our first amendment right to talk about other peoples opinions just like Hannity is doing.

First of all, why did ABC – Good morning America – invite Sean Hannity for an interview? Are there alterior motives on the part of ABC – ratings perhaps? I’m certainly happy that Sean accepted the invitation.
What I did notice – Diane Sawyer tried to interrupt him when he was on a truth-roll. Why does the mainstream media continue to try to cover for Obama – and hide truth? Why is this media supporting a man who embarrasses the USA? Aren’t they American? Don’t they care? Open your eyes media – you are helping Obama destroy our beautiful-free – giving and generous country.
Hannity is right! Obama is on a quest for more than the eyes and ears can tell. I don’t think the Founding Fathers ever intended for America to be considered infallible. We have done great things for the people of the world, and some not so great things as well. I love America, and as far as I am concerned, this is the greatest country on the face of the Earth. However, we are not perfect. I do not think it is reasonable that prior acts of goodness erase the recent mistakes we have made, any more than prior acts considered ‘intolerable’ by extremists justify their use of terrorism against us. It is a matter of perspective…

I know it has been almost a decade since we have seen a leader who used diplomacy, but that is what Obama was doing today. Yes, he quoted the Koran. But he did so in order to form a connection with the people who he was speaking to. That is how you do diplomacy. You don’t do it by quoting something from your own culture. That would not do anything, but push the other side away. What Hannity failed to mention is that Obama’s speach included a well formed point that included a quote from Christianity, Islam, and Judaism about peace and how peace is the way to live life.
Violence is what the extremist are using to recuit thier followers. This is what has kept the terrorists alive and well. The terrorists are speaking out more now to try to undermine Obama because they know that by not sabre rattling like Bush, they have lost a recruiting point.

I am incredibly disappointed that you stooped to giving a gutless stooge like Sean Hannity air time. Had the the backbone to have ever worn his country’s uniform, he might hold efforts at peace making by Obama in higher regard. He mentioned that Obama quoted the Koran, but failed to comment on Obama’s quotes from the Bible and the Talmud. Hannity does nothing other than verbalize a supposed insight into the world of politics that is based on distortions and outright lies, but then what can you expect from one tutored by Limbaugh. Mr. Obama is presenting an alternative point of view, fresh start, a new approach. Gosh, the support Isreal above anything else approach has not been successful for the last 50 years folks! Thousands have died and nothing has been accomplished! If anything, we are going backward. The current Isreali leadership has now backed off support of the 2-state solution policy. It gives me hope that GMA realizes that viewers deserve journalistic integrity with fair and balanced media coverage of important issues. Folks, we are now at a point in our society where some really believe that it is “juvenile and embarrassing” for people to voice their opinions! These people want to snuff out those who might oppose the status quo — they’ll spread lies like “they’re fanning the flames of hate and racism” and try and have you believe that opposing solutions aren’t part of the dialogue. Be careful folks. This is how censorship starts. We start by trying to discredit the opposition. Once they’re discredited, silencing them is easy, and when the opposition is silent, we’re in real trouble.

It IS NOT ARROGANCE! But, since you’re unfamilar with this posture (as it hasn’t been present for the last 8 Years) – that’s “Genuine Confidence”, borne by the Strong “Vote Of Confidence” extended to President Obama By The People of The USA. These people openly affirm that they take Great Pride in being represented by this gifted, talented, intelligent and honorable man. (Now call it Koolaid, or whatever, as you will. Thanks ABC and GMA for allowing different points of view. It’s obvious that some posters on this site cannot handle Sean being on the show and they have forgotten the 1st Amend. It means everyone has the right to have a different point of view without your hatred messages.
Remember all the BS claims you made to help get this guy elected. You are no better then the people you attack. It’s a shame you won’t stand up for your country and fight this evil situation, but the weak only know how to be strong with message posting, the rest of us are willing to die for this country. Maybe it’s time you all move out since the only thing you can do is complain.

I am heartened to see that the majority of the posters here do not agree with Sean H. … What I am still troubled about is that there are some that still think Fox news is fair and balanced.

The 80-some years that the democrats have had control of our government – the White House and/or Congress – even with republican presidents, the democrats still influenced foreign policy as well as national policy. Then look at Clinton and Carter and we’re still letting the democrats apologize and appease and where has it gotten us? I totally agree with Sean and I’d really like to see what republicans would do if they had a true majority with the Congress and the White House without democrat interference. It’s got to be better than what we’ve had from the democrats since FDR. Now that is change we can believe in. Yes we can!!

When are we going to realize that Sean Hannity and his cohorts are doing nothing more than dutifully playing the roles of demagogues and in the process laughing all the way to the bank. I agree with Hannity. Obama never says anything good about his own country. He is always trashing it. I guess his wife was right when she said “she is finally proud of her country” only when they elect her American-hating husband president.

To all you whack jobs who keep blaming Obama for GM’s bankruptcy… get a friggin clue. Do you think that GM makes and assembles everything to their cars? No! The plants that make the glass, electronics, catalytic converters, etc have been going under for the past 5 years! My father, a UAW president of 25+ years was forced into retirement three years ago. Guess what? Obama was not in office at that time. Bush was. He actively supported tax breaks that rewarded companies more for shipping jobs overseas than for creating them here in the United States, and he strongly opposed efforts to reform these tax rules. These tax breaks
cost the U.S. Treasury $7 billion each year and made it significantly cheaper for American companies to operate overseas than in this country.
The tax code subsidizes job destruction and puts domestic producers and workers at a profound disadvantage. The Bush administration refused to support efforts to eliminate these tax giveaways, and, in its 2004 and 2005 budgets, proposed creating even more tax incentives for U.S. companies to ship work overseas rather than keep good jobs
in America.

I find it very interesting that the majority of the people trashing Hannity are attacking Hannity and have absolutely no ability to discuss the issue that he is trying to bring to the table. Hannity is spot on when he wonders why it’s so important to illuminate the great things that Islam has brought to humanity…100′s of years ago, but ignores what the United States has done for Islam in the past few decades. I said I find it interesting, not surprising, though. Heaven help us if a member of the “State run media” (yes I quoted Rush) steps out of line and brings on a balancing viewpoint to discuss what the other 49% of the population things is important. How’s your liberal tolerance and inclusion working out for you now?

It may come as news to you but the attacks of 9/11 were carried out by a terrorist oggnaization with members from several countries not another country. It is frightening that people with such a lack of understanding of the world have the right to vote.

All he wants to do is gin up the imbalanced fringe on the not-so-right, who are too lazy to take the time to bone up on day-to- day facts, let alone the real history of this country! Much easier to put a funnel in their ears and pour in a daily dose of some self-serving icon of intellectual flatulence! Why did Diane continue on and on interviewing Hannity? Indeed, why was he interviewed at all? When did he become an expert on the Middle East, Islam, the President’s speaking style, etc. This was a waste of news time. Next time find someone who knows something about the topic(s) rather than a crank seeking to promote himself as much as any of the undocumented positions he’s taken.

We have been listening to others points of view folks for the last 5 months since Obama took office. The only thing I have heard out of the mouths of the right wing radicals is anger, racist comments, divisivness, and absolutely no constuctive solutions. None. Where are they? Do they have any or is their MO just to bash everything this President does. It is also apparent that the people sticking up for these “other views” are those that hold as much animosity toward this new president as the ones spewing their rhetoric. I am extremely happy that this president is making progress toward repairing the economy, supporting social issues that were ignored for the past 8 years, and is really trying hard to repair the image of America around the world. All we heard for 8 long years was about the war in Iraq, and pretty much nothing else. This was purposeful distraction from the Bush / Cheney administration. What part of the whole scenario don’t you folks get. Osama Bin Laden is a free man. That says all it has to regarding the Bush / Cheney years of failure.

President Obama is doing a great job of representing America as we are and not as Bush did for the last eight years. Obama is a good man and has worked hard from day one to right the wrongs of the Bush administration. Everything he has done has been to improve the lives of all of us. Bush was a conceited nitwit who did everything to betray America and put us in harms way. Thank goodness we have an intelligent president now who has the best interests of all Americans.

I’m a conservative Christian struggling to understand why the president doesn’t get support for being a peacemaker. Jesus Himself said ‘blessed are the peacemakers’ and if the president gets blessed so do the rest of us.
On the other hand, if we want to find fault, in another passage Jesus says ‘First remove the beam from your own eye, and then you will see clearly enough to remove the speck from your brother’s eye’. Sounds like it’s time for some Bible-believing commentators to talk a little less and read a little more.
