Obama Wants to Avoid the Dirt for First Pitch

ABC News’ Karen Travers reports: President Obama gave a sneak peek of his strategy for his ceremonial first pitch tonight at the Major League Baseball All-Star Game in St. Louis, saying he wanted to loosen up his arm a bit. Obama did not do any practice pitching at the White House but plans to warm up in St. Louis tonight with some throws to Cardinals All-Star First Baseman Albert Pujols. The president recalled his first pitch in the 2005 American League Championship Series between his native Chicago White Sox and the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. “I just wanted to keep it high,” he said. “Now, there was no clock on it. I don’t know how fast it went. But if it exceeded 30 miles per hour, I’d be surprised. But it did clear the plate.” Read more about the tradition of presidential first pitches HERE. — Karen Travers

Who really cares if this miscreant throws out the 1st pitch? Also, why is he going to be in the broadcast booth for an inning tonight? Talk baseball? Hardly. Just another platform to con Americans on his agenda. No President in modern times has been on television and radio as much as this grandstanding lamprey has. This guy is a super GANSTER and what is transpiring before us is the greatest CITIZEN SHAKEDOWN in USA history! GL2 us all!

Definitely avoid the “Walhberg”.
Why he tried to throw that 1st pitch with a bottle of water in his other hand is beyond me.

No pressure, Barack, you won’t be able to blame Bush if it goes in the dirt. George consistently threw strikes.

Wow!!! George Bush can throw a strike!!! Too bad he was president and not a pitcher for the Rangers.

At least when W went into a broadcast booth, he actually knew about, and talked about, baseball. I wouldn’t be surprised if Obama sort of feigns interest in the sport like everything else, but he’s much more at home at an NBA game. I wonder if St. Louis is a conservative enough town to get some good boos going? That would be funny…

“At least when W went into a broadcast booth, he actually knew about, and talked about, baseball.”
That’s true.
Bush knows a little about baseball.
Too bad, he knew much less about economics, foreign policy, the English language etc.

Dont worry every one. He wont get cap and trade, he wont get health care reform, He wont get his green energy programs. And he is driving up the defict with out results. It is sad that he is becoming a lame duck president in his first 6 mon. of his first term. He wont be back.

Now I know what all the Obama excusers meant when they kept saying he had too much important stuff on his “plate” to deal with the frivolity of gay rights.
So much very, very important stuff.

Ain’t that the truth? That loser should have stayed in Texas with his losing little baseball team he got courtesy of Daddy.

Why don’t the Government take the stimulus money to run it, and give the taxpayers a pass for 2009?
Because that would start the economy in a hurry, but they wouldn’t profit from a plan like that.
