HOPE AND CHANGE…. I THINK THE CHANGE WAS MEANT TO REPRESENT THE GOVERNMENT COMING TO EACH OF OUR HOMES AND CHECKING THE CUSHIONS OF OUR COUCH FOR SOME EXTRA CHANGE TO ENSURE THEY DID NOT MISS ANYTHING.

One semi-positive projection is that the size of this year’s deficit has fallen by almost $262 billion (about 1.7 percent of GDP) and is projected to be $1.58 trillion… whats positive about this? that is up 300 percent from last year. Shouldnt we be trying to reduce spending?

It is interesting – 6 months ago this blog was filled with all the mania about the new President. There were active debates from both sides of the political spectrum.
Now – a few short months into this Presidency this blog is filled with outrage at the amount of money this administration is spending – and, interestingly, it is from both sides of the political spectrum as well.

Obamanomics banks too big to fail! Red hot printing presses! people living in tent cities and cars! The country being swamped with unemployment and still the immigrants arrive in droves. The American Dream, it seems, even this nightmare is better than living in Guatemala or Mexico but what consolation is that if you are an American out of work!
Wall Street changing accounting rules to hide insolvencies. Banks still paying immoral bonuses! The government can think of only one response, “print more money” which means, squander peoples futures so that they can pretend that we are alright for another day.
