ABC News' Karen Travers reports:
In another moment of candor, Vice President Biden said last night that some Democrats he has campaigned for are "turkeys."

"Not all Democrats are created equal, while most Republicans are," Biden said.

The vice president's comments came at a fundraiser at the home of former Virginia senator and governor Chuck Robb.

The event was for three freshman House members from Virginia – Reps. Tom Perriello, Glenn Nye and Gerry Connelly — who are facing tough re-election battles next year.

Biden said last week that if Democrats were to lose 35 House seats they currently hold in traditionally Republican districts, it would mean doomsday for President Obama's agenda.

"If they take them back, this the end of the road for what Barack and I are trying to do," the vice president said on Monday.

Both Perriello and Nye defeated incumbent Republicans last November, while Connelly won an open seat that had been held by a Republican.

Last night the vice president did some handicapping of the Virginia races, calling it "a very competitive state" and said the trio were "independent minded" and "damn competent."

"These guys are smart. Some of the guys Chuck (Robb) and I have campaigned for are turkeys," he said. "Not all Democrats are created equal, while most Republicans are." -Karen Travers
