Bomb Threat Forces Evacuation of DC TEA Party Planners

From what I know about these nut jobs, they probably had one of their members send in the threat to get press and to have an excuse for the pitiful turnout. I saw a tea party on FOX News recently. They had everyone huddle in close and hold up signs so it looked like there were more than 10 people there.

Baggers called it in themselves. Nuts will do anything for attention.

Since the President essentially declared war on the citizenry Wednesday night, I’m not surprised at a bomb threat. Keep your eye on the ball, there’s much more afoot with this Administration and Legislsature; none of it is good.

The reason for the tea parties and their opposition to government run health care reform is that it is sad but true that government has a long track record of waste and fraud in most all of their government run programs. Even President Obama thinks there is so much waste and fraud in Medicare that 500 billion can be cut from it without any cuts to services. Of course, no one believes this and the Dems know there will be severe cuts to services to Seniors as a result of these enormous cuts to the Medicare budget.
The regrettable truth is government has proven time and time again that they are an incompetent manager of the peoples money and never keep any of their promises. Think about it, by racking up record breaking deficits, the Dems are undermining the very existence of Social Security and Medicare which government promised they would keep afloat at all costs.
Despite these facts, the greed for more power and more and more of the peoples money persists and grows like a cancer in their pursuit of a government take over of health care. If government is so cavalier about making enormous cuts to Medicare which will result in severe cuts to services for Seniors, think what will happen to a Single Payer government run system when the money runs out.
Bureaucrats, union workers and corporate special interest groups will be first in line to get what money is left over. The rest of us will be pounding sand waiting for that heart surgery we need to save our lives. No wonder there is so much talk about “death panels.” Long live the tea parties.

I’ve attended two tea parties at my state capitol.. I have never been in the presence of so many decent, patriotic and worthy people. We are actually trying to DO something to save this Republic before it sinks into totalitarianism and civil war. Even though I share few or no values with left wingers, I always respected their right to speak their opinion and gather in peaceful protest. It disgusts me that the left won’t give the same respect to those with an opposing veiwpoint. I now know how shallow, hateful, vengeful, hypocritical and bigoted the left really is.
During the election, I heard Obama supporters proudly boast of vandalizing cars with McCain or GOP bumper stickers on them. I heard them brag about going through entire neighborhoods and removing McCain campaign signs. I watched reports of armed Black Panther thugs intimidating white voters at polling places. I watched news reports of Acorn turning in thousands of fraudulant voter registrations, and then bussing people to various polling places to cast fradualant ballots over and over again.
The hypocricy of the Left makes me sick to my stomach.
In the last 8 years, I’ve seen them protest, march, picket, disrupt and point fingers. Now that hardworking middle americans with traditional values, plan peaceful gatherings to protest high taxes, and an out of control shady administration. They are called “wacko, nutjobs, mobs, nazis, racists” and worse. What happened to “free thought and free speach”?
The main stream media rammed Obama down america’s throat, never properly vetting him, never asking the hard questions for fear of losing their precious seats on the “Obama express”. You can’t kill an idea.
Not by intentionally disrupting civil discourse on Twitter or any other venue as was done two days ago. Not by calling in bomb threats to organizations exercising their First Ammendment rights and holding lawful gatherings. Not by biting off fingers or any other bullying tactic.
Like it or not, we will be heard. It seems most people are in favor of free speech, but some people feel only those who agree with their views should have it.

You know the Right is always crying about “Big Government”, but it’s the Right that seems to endorse it. Afterall, there is no bigger government than when it sticks it’s nose in our bedrooms. Proponents of the healthcare bill put a great amount of trust in the government’s ability to pay for the plan by stopping “waste, fraud and abuse”. As Grandpa says “trust, but verify”, so let’s build that trust.
It does not take a reform plan to go after “waste, fraud and abuse”. Secretary Sebelius gave the Pfizer sting operation as a prime example. So let’s just back off this rush to impose some 1018 pages of legislation that is dividing our nation and let the government demonstrate that it can do something right.
I propose that we give the government six months to a year to demonstrate that it can save money by going after “waste, fraud and abuse”. At the end of the period there will be no speculation, we will have hard data as to whether Obama’s claims are “truth or fiction”. The taxpayers of America deserve no less?
