“Get Your Free ‘I’m With Joe Wilson’ T-Shirt”
An "I'm with Joe Wilson" T-Shirt might be heading your way soon. My colleague, Teddy Davis has more: While Republican leaders in Washington have called out Rep. Joe Wilson, R-S.C., for his bad manners, some grassroots conservatives are trying to thank Wilson for giving voice to their grievances.
In fact, the Palmetto Scoop, a conservative Web site featuring political news and commentary, is offering free "I'm with Joe Wilson" T-shirts. The T-shirt identifies the Republican lawmaker as "America's Congressman."
"Congressman Joe Wilson may not have picked the best moment to voice his constituents' complaints about President Barack Obama's attempts to socialize health care," writes Palmetto Scoop editor Adam Fogle in an e-mail to his readers, "but he did so nonetheless. And conservatives around the country – many of whom wish their Congressman would be as bold as Wilson – are commending him for quite literally speaking out against Obama's plan during his address to Congress last night." To allow conservatives to show their support for Wilson, The Palmetto Scoop teamed up with Made In Multiples to give away for free "I'm With Joe Wilson" t-shirts on Twitter. View the T-shirt HERE. The Palmetto Scoop's editor is not alone among conservatives in rallying behind Wilson.
Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC), a conservative group which threatened to draft CNN's Lou Dobbs into last year's presidential race, issued a statement on Thursday defending Wilson and arguing that President Obama's claim that illegal immigrants will not be covered by his plan is wrong given that Democrats have promised to pass comprehensive immigration reform legislation which would "legalize millions of illegal immigrants and qualify them for all taxpayer benefits and jobs in America."
Echoing an RNC official who spoke with ABC News on Wednesday, ALIPAC also points to Democratic opposition to Republican amendments which would have toughened enforcement provisions to ensure that illegal immigrants do not qualify for health care subsidies.
"It is time for all Americans to follow the example of Joe Wilson and speak out against the lies coming out of Washington." said ALIPAC's William Gheen.

Let’s all support unprofessionalism and rudeness by buying one of these shirts. Anyone who would wear one of these is as tactless as the representative. There is a time and place for airing grievances. Had this been some other type of event and he was just some random person shouting out and interrupting like that, the Secret Service would have removed him.

Libs have selective memory when it comes to disrepecting a president. How they can feign indignation with a straight face is humorous.

Thanks for the link, now working at getting one. Funny enough, he was the only one last night that told the truth. Interesting though how the Dem’s are crying foul over this when not that long ago they yelled boo at GW during the State of the Union address. Interesting how times have changed and what they now consider to be bad form.

“Libs have selective memory when it comes to disrepecting a president. How they can feign indignation with a straight face is humorous.”
You are exactly right, John — remember the boos and hisses at Bush’s State of the Union? What about the Inauguration? Remember Harry Reid calling him a liar and loser? Remember Obama calling Clinton a “bald-faced liar”?
Most of these people posting are probably not old enough to remember that. They are mere babies.

When is the American public going to wake up to the fact about Obama. He is so desperate for Health Care Reform there has to be a solid reason and its not because of insurance. If the government controls the insurance coverage look out. They will be telling you what your going to pay and what coverage you won’t get. Do we really know what it covers? I don’t believe in Health Care Reform as I will buy my own inurance. If Obama insists we have it then let the government pay for it. GOOD FOR WILSON. HE HAS GUTS THAT THE DEMOCRATS DON’T HAVE. WE NEED MORE REPUBLICANS LIKE HIM.

So Joe Wilson says I’m sorry and what happens? He gets $400,000 in political campaign contributions over night. How many of these contributors are members of the Ku Klux Klan? How much money comes from health insurance corporations? If health insurance premiums in South Carolina jump up, at least we’ll know why.
It’s not that Joe Wilson needs the money.
According to the Center for Responsive Politics, Joe Wilsons major political contributor is health care professionals. Joe Wilson also gets hefty campaign contributions from lobbyists, for-profit hospitals and nursing homes, pharmaceuticals/health products, insurance companies, and securities and investments. If I conduct a sector analysis, the for-profit health sector is Wilson’s biggest contributor. Individual corporations which contribute heavily to Wilson’s political campaigns include American Hospital Association and Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
So it’s little wonder that Wilson hates Obama so much. Obama poses a threat to Wilson’s source of revenue.
In the meantime, South Carolina has an alarming unemployment and poverty rate. It has one of the highest infant mortality rates in the nation. If Joe Wilson really wanted to apologice, he’d donate this money to charity.
But as we know, it’s all about the Benjamins, and Joe Wilson’s cares about those Benjamins more than anything else, including the lives his fellow citizens in South Carolina..

You were wrong, as the actual legislative language of HR 3200 makes clear.

While the shout out was at the wrong forum, its sentiment is not alone. Many of us are sick and tired of the Democrats grandstanding, partisan mess! We do need reform, but these 1000′s of pages of bills unread, creating over-government, overspending, neutering our nations security. I personally, am sick of it. The Democrats could have helped stop the Fannie-Freddie mess, and chose to use it to win elections. We will see how that worked for them in the future!

I think most people here forget why illegal immigrants receive medical care in this country today–because it is moral and ethical, no matter your political party or affiliation(and really, those Republican conservatives who call themselves Christians ought to be ashamed). We are not WWII Germany where we get rid of undesirables, this country has a conscience and I would like to keep it that way–your small monetary burden(because really most of your taxes go to the Defense(Iraq war?), Transportation(roads, airways anyone?), and Education departments) can be of great help to a dying child (is anyone opposing care for illegal immigrants ever donated to a charity or money that will go abroad?).

Obama is a liar and this isn’t his first lie.
Sure is funny how Democrats are being critical of people wanting to wear an “I’m with Joe” T-Shirt. Wonder if that is because they have a T-Shirt in their closet with the face of Obama on it. I’m not talking about the Joker one but the weird three tone face to the heavens campaign one that was a copyright infringement.
Lastly, I’ve been called all kinds of names for my position on immigration by the press, Democrats & Republicans like McCain and Lindsey Graham. At least Specter embraced his true party. Speaking of names, I’ve been called some pretty bad things by top Democrats because of my opposition to Obama’s health care plan.
Oh and I’m not bickering, my stance against you is way beyond bickering, it’s total disagreement and I’m using my Freedom of Speech to express my opinion.

Isn’t it sad that the totally disrespectful outburst from Mr. Wilson toward the President of our country takes precedence over the opportunity for United States citizens to receive quality medical care?
Sadder still is blind ignorance of American citizens who listen to such garbage from politicians that #1, have the promise of backing from big insurance companies to back their campaigns if they say what the industry wants them to, and #2, don’t have to worry about their own(and their family’s) medical cost because “WE” as tax payers are footing their bills – even when we can’t afford decent health care for ourselves and our own families….
Heaven help us from such stupidity.

Someone said Obamacare???? An insurance company runs AARP. You can get health insurance, car insurance, etc. and they keep asking for memberships fees and support. They’re making a fortunate off of our seniors with AARP. Unfortunately, I doubt that seniors suspect it is the offspring of an insurance company and probably the very people who have denied them insurance at one time or another.

This is why Obama is a liar. He says illegals won’t get benefits, but if he gets his way, the vast majority of illegals will get amnesty in 2010.
Sure, the Dems want to avoid getting over run with new illegals seeking free health care, but the current illegals won’t be illegal if the Dems have anything to say about it.

How about Obama’s bad manners when he called American citizens liars before Joe Wilson spoke up? The fact is that HR 3200, the Health Bill, had nothing to inhibit illegals from qualifying.
How about Obama’s bad manners when he graced the Royalty of Great Britain with the ‘awesome’ gift of 20 cheap DVD’s – in a basket? This, after Great Britain delivered a customized hand crafted gift from the wood of the ship The Resolute to match the Resolute desk that sits in the oval office.
How about Obama’s bad manners when he refused to salute the flag at the Pledge of Allegiance while he was campaigning?
How about Obama’s bad manners when he threw his pastor under the boss while telling his colleagues “I’m not gonna get swift-boated”?
How about Obama’s bad manners when he accused Cambridge police of ‘acting stupidly’ while admitting that he didn’t have all the facts?
