GOP Asks Nets for Response to Obama
House Republican Leader John Boehner is asking the broadcast networks to make time for a GOP response to President Obama's Joint Session speech Wednesday night.
He points out that Governor Carroll Campbell of South Carolina was given time to respond to President Clinton's September 1993 health care speech.
Safe to say that Mark Sanford won't get the GOP nod this time. But no word yet on who will speak.
Maybe the two Doctor Tom's in Congress: Rep. Tom Price of GA and Sen. Tom Coburn of OK?

Obama Avoids Questions on Contraception Rule
I would actually love to hear a Republican plan for containing healthcare costs, rather than just a plan for insuring Obama’s failure. Please, GOP, engage the real issues, for all our sakes.

The Republicans do not deserve any free broadcast network time to respond to President Obama’s address. He is president, they are not. It is a news event when the President addresses both chambers. It is not a news event when a locally elected Republican office-holder wants to make a statement. Besides, Republicans will get their free time on Fox Noise.

Sounds like Boehner believes in some kind of “fairness” on the public airwaves…hmm, what’s that called again?

I think the nation has been exposed to the Republican view on health care shouted at the top of their lungs all summer long thanks to the media. Enough already. Now we want to hear from adults. Let me know when the Republicans elect one.

“Maybe the two Dr. Tom’s in Congress:”
Really George, there should be no apostrophe in there. You are writing about Toms as plural (more than one), not about something that both Drs. possess.
Maybe George didn’t write this. Is that possible?

OH! YEAH! That’s just what we need! I’m sick and tired of the Ultra Right Wing Party and Networks twisting everything the President has to say into the huge and magnified LIES they thrive on! Isn’t it bad enough that they have managed to turn the President’s hopes for a Better Health Plan that EVERY American can benefit from into some sort of “COMMUNIST” Plot like something out of 60′s? They specialize in “Hate Mongering” and have done more damage in this country in turning so many vulnerable people into violent vigilantes totting automatic weapons to demonstrations against everything that comes out of the Whitehouse. They have not taken an ounce of responsibility for any of their ludicrous, misleading remarks nor has the entire Republican Party taken any responsibility for any of the past 8 years in which they alone have put this country in the disaster that it’s in right now. Why continue to feed that hate with more lies and twisted over dramatized perceptions of what they want people to think their hate stifeling little world to be. NO! THEY HAVE “NO” RIGHT IN RESPONDING TO WHAT THE PRESIDENT HAS TO SAY ON HIS HOPES FOR A BETTER HEALTH PLAN FOR AMERICA, IT’S NOT OPEN FOR RESPONSE! I for one don’t want or need to hear what they have to say I’m sick of their pre-fab remarks anyway.

Hey Darrell Incenogel, The $$$$ will be there once all of the Doctors and Hospitals PAY UP on all of the fraudulent Insurance Claims get paid back. Yes! Doctors and Hospitals that have been billing and re-billing our seniors through Medicare for the past 8 years. Money that’s been coming out of your pocket and mine, billing and re-billing, test and re-test taking patients to keep them in the hospital longer and taking un-needed tests for things that are of no help to the patients but putting more and more money into their pockets. So not only are the Insurances playing along with these guys they are promoting the practice by advocating “back up” health care to seniors incase Medicare doesn’t quite cover all of their needs, when in fact they are the ones that don’t cover JACK! WAKE UP PEOPLE! DO YOUR HOMEWORK! MY GOD! IT’S OUR LIVES AND OUR COUNTRY THAT’S AT STAKE HERE! IT’S NOT A REPUBLICAN/DEMOCRAT THING!
