House Republican Leaders Ask IRS to Sever Ties with ACORN

It would be nice if this story would find its way into the World News broadcast, rather than in a blog posting on the network’s website. But, that’s probably too much to ask.

Wake up MSM and report the news …. even if it hurts your choosen one.

Charlie Gibson says he’s never heard of any of the ACORN mess. He probably also wonders why news outlets like ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, etc. are losing viewers and are no longer trusted. Get a clue, Charlie.

It appears to me they’re hoping for a hate crime just to take the heat off the president and corruption like ACORN. Disgusting.

The Sunday talk shows will be Softball Derby. The media is truly an embarassment the way they they bow, scrape and grovel collectively to Obama and his handlers. David Letterman cuddling up with Obama for 90 minutes will be like soft porn complete with canned sighs and moans from the audience.

“Two young conservative journalist”? Sounds to me like two young concerned Americans. How do we know they’re conservatives? Are conservatives now anyone who questions the establishment? And just because you are poor, disadvantaged, ignorant, etc., doesn’t mean you don’t have to obey the law. Does it?

Honestly I don’t care about his apology, I do care about where our tax money goes and what kind of oversight is being put into place to keep this from happening again. If ABC is going to just pick and choose what news they cover, and only the news THEY deem worthy of their persepctive, then say so on the front page of the web site. Why in the world is not being covered by ABC, CBS, or NBC? You have to literally search ABC’s site to find this article. Look at ABCnews.com ‘s frontpage and glance through the “news” stories. Why are you not covering this, I had to go to other news sources. I used to trust ABC. I heard of rumors about ACORN, but I did not believe them, because it was not in the news, then I realized it was not in the news I was watching. I think I will be less trusting with ABC

It’s a pretty sad statement on our “Mainstream Media” when I can spend only 15 minutes online, still in my PJ’s, and know more in what’s happening in the world than a major news anchor. How they even deserve a paycheck is a mystery to me.

Mr. Trapper, could you please explain why the network you are working for is not covering this? Why Ch. Gibson had no clue about it even though you already posted this bit? I am sure that you don’t like the liberal label, but when the network ignores this story, especially when it keeps hammering away at Joe Wilson and Mark Sanford, what is the viewing public suppose to think? Its such a shame to see the network of Frank Reynolds turned into such a shabby, hit and miss out fit. I really respect your work but you’d better consider jumping ship before you go down with it. Jake has always seemed like a straight shooter, unbiased. ABC News was very slanted under Peter Jennings, but Charles Gibson always seemded without agenda. Was shocked to hear that he knew NOTHING about ACORN scandal. Either he is in a NYC liberal elite coccoon, getting his news only from NY Times, or he has just checked out. Too bad Jake is not next anchor. Sawyer is another liberal agenda driven DNC mouthpiece.

If it’s so clear that the videos are doctored and fabricated, why did ACORN fire the ACORN employees shown in them? Wouldn’t that have been terribly unjust if ACORN really knew the videos were doctored?
This is a much more significant and newsworthy story, btw, than anything about Kanye West or whether or not Joe Wilson was rude.

I’ve been checking this site for days, looking for info on Acorn, to little or no avail. I stopped watching ABC (and ALL MSM, for that matter) after Charlie Gibson’s interview with Gov. Palin. Love her or hate her, she deserved better, not Charlie’s snarly interview. FINALLY — stories magically appear here, on ABC’s website. Now, THIS is gonna get interesting. My hat is off to FOX and Glen Beck. ABC — Get out of Obama’s pocket and DO YOUR JOB!!

How is it a 25yo and a 20yo can break a story that clearly shows a pattern of deception and lawlessness.
Where is the investigative media on this. In the 70′s, the investigative journalism on Watergate brought a new generation of journalist but it seem this kind of investigation is now left to Internet and cable news.
The story does not even touch on the disturbing assistance from ACORN workers for advice to cheet on taxes, lie about income, operate a brothel, and child prostitution.
Why is ACORN firing these workers but firing back at the makers of the video?
Please, start investigation ACORN and not creating stories about how upset the leaders of the organization are by making a story out of thier press releases.

The lack of coverage of ACORN by ABC and the “mainstream media” is deplorable.
The American public feel that it is the job of the media to cover stories regardless of the content. This is major news and you choose to sweep it under the rug because it doesn’t fit in with your real agenda.

We, as individuals, have to take responsibility as to what we believe and use some common sense. Such as, just because there are a few bad apples in Acorn, it doesn’t necessarily mean the entire organization is rotten. We also need to watch all news channels, not just Fox, MSNBC, NBC, CBS or ABC or CNN. They are ALL biased. Fox is just as biased as the others. And for god’s sake, don’t take everything Rush Limbaugh, Glen Beck, Sean Hannity, or Keith Olberman say to heart. They will tear this country apart based on their biases. That is how they get their ratings and what they do for a living. Come on, we have to be a little smarter than that.

Acorn blaims the messenger, says the claims were phony (but amazingly fires the workers), and threatens slander law-suits. The main-stream media follows suit or is willfully ignorant. Then the next video comes out. Then the next, etc. Its been priceless journalism that exposes not only this corrupt organization, but their political supporters and the news media bias. Priceless.
Now the IRS needs to audit many of the tax returns done by this organization. It boggles the mind that ACORN workers have the mentality to even suggest that illegal-immigrant children (to be pimped out as sex slaves) can be declared as dependents on a tax return. Wow!
