The American people need the healthcare initiative. I DEMAND that our representatives include the “PUBLIC OPTION” in it. The insurance companies will not stop stealing from us until the competition of the “PUBLIC OPTION” forces them to. They will not cease, amend, or police their larcenous “business” model unless congressional law and constant, stringent oversight force them to.
They cannot be trusted.
I’m not even certain that our “representatives can be trusted to represent us and not the interests of the insurance companies. By your opposition to the PUBLIC OPTION, you seem to be siding with the insurance companies AGAINST your constituents……..you are “leaving your fingerprints at the crime scene with those of the insurance companies.” As accomplices to the insurance companies, you have distanced yourselves from the people you hope will re-elect you.
Your complicity is an affront to the American people and a crime that will not be forgotten. When your election bids fail, you will be left with foreshortened careers and the bitter taste of insurance company abuse in your mouths.
The outcome of this impending legislation will clearly show the American people whether they can trust their elected officials, or if we need to eliminate them all and replace them with people who will truly represent the American people instead of the insurance companies.

It time that that AFL-CIO learn a lesson in Government! They gave millions of dollars to Obama for election and now realize it was a bad investment. The majority of Americans want nothing to do with a “public option” as a solution to the problems to the current system. The people can be heard over and above the corrupt culture of big labor and the thugs that have come to lead and support it. Real reform has to address tort-reform and creating more competition between insurance companies…let the free markets work and keep the antiquated union positions out of the debate. Obama promised change and transparency. Unions promise stagnation and no growth for the American economy. Do what is right and listen to the people. Government BY THE PEOPLE, FOR THE PEOPLE. NOT FOR THE UNIONS!

You know, the term “big labor” always cracks me up. Who does big labor work for — working people!! Their members are ordinary working people who have unionized. Who do big insurance and big pharma work for — the bottom line, for their CEOs and their shareholders. I’d rather be with big labor than with big insurance and big pharma any day!

Please explain again: “Why must the “Employer…” be compelled to pay? Especially, when such is not the case for “Home-owners” or “Auto” insurance? What does the employer add to the equation; except a convenient check-book for the government and other entities, to rob? Two simple questions: 1. Does anyone even contemplate that employer mandates contribute to sending whatever jobs possible, off-shore? 2. Is anyone aware that many “insurance problems” like loss-of-coverage, all flow from the misguided “employer sponsored” distribution channel? Many crisis situations are triggered when employees are terminated from employment – for whatever reason?

Health care insurance giants do not sway me in how I think about the “option” I am just a citizen and think that our country stands to loose to much if this goes through. I read that in a protion of the bill, the GOV will have the ability to see our financial business in real time. Freedom of privacy? And what about non-citizens? I read that it will pay benefits for them as well…They pay no taxes. This is good? What about taxes on the businesses…8% and 2 1/2% to those who choose not to take it? Are these things true? And end of life…I want a say so in that too. I want to go out the way I think I should go not on the governments mandate. Did you know that the REPUBLICAN proposed 3 bills, one in May, one in June and ONE in JULY? All were knocked down by the Democrats. Who won’t compromise now?

Oh I see where this is going….another huge giveaway to the Unions.
Funny, the union members already have healthcare, so why would they care if we enact health care reform or not. Clearly they are trying to skirt the unaffordable promises they have made to their members for lifetime healthcare…when those members retire at 50 years old! Then the rest of us can keep on working to pay for their benefits. The public option will also be used to create strong unions in healthcare.
Unions in healthcare, government in health care, these two organizations are true monopolies that would be outlawed in any other context. You are G%D damn right I am angry, watch as the unions and the government divvy up our premiums and explain to us why the health care I pay for needs to be rationed.

These Union bosses are abusing their power with scare tactics (Astro-turfing). They forget that there is such thing as a secret ballot for elections. That secret ballot may not mean much as they push to remove it from their members through political manuvers, but for the rest of us its an added blanket of security. The AFL-CIO Union Thugs are only as strong as you let them be. Besides they are not working for your best interest, they work only for theirs. Just look at their huge salaries off of your Union dues, that speaks volumes in itself.

Get Real, it isn’t in the Bill of Rights, and no, it isn’t a “right”. And even if it were, that doesn’t mean that the government should fund it.
We have the right of religious assembly, but the government doesn’t build churches. We have the right to keep and bear arms, but the government doesn’t buy our guns and bullets.
The polls are daily showing that more and more (and the majority) of Americans are against this health care proposal.
Now, let’s see ABC tell the story of how the president is giving a speech to all of our school childen next Tuesday — MANDATORY. Never in our history has this happened.
This smacks of indoctrination and anyone, no matter who they voted for should be outraged. I know I am — it’s going to be a four-day weekend for us and thousands and thousands of others. The schools are going to lose a lot of money next Tuesday.
