Today’s Q’s for O’s White House
ABC NEWS' Yunji de Nies Reports:de Nies: Robert, what can you tell us about the lobbying effort behind the scenes that the president sort of already started with the IOC?
GIBBS: Well, I don't know that it's much behind the scenes if you're asking me about it. I think it's — obviously, the president has mentioned this in meetings when we were at the U.N. and at the G- 20. He's going to continue to talk to people, including in person in Copenhagen, in an effort to bring the 2016 Olympics to the United States.
de Nies: And what's his best pitch? What is he telling them?
GIBBS: Well, look, I think, having spent some time in Chicago, I think it is a — it's a perfect place to hold the Olympics. It is — it offers — it offers a great place for the world to see. It offers all the amenities that one would want in the Olympics. And I think, far and away, it's the strongest bid of the four that are out there.
de Nies: What if he goes and he doesn't get it?
GIBBS: Well, we'll — we'll — you can call Tommy on Saturday. That's…

Santorum: Money Will Not Defeat Obama, Ideas Will
Rick Santorum's Full Speech at CPAC 2012
Obama will go to all lengths to not be embarrassed by losing the Olympics.
Afterall the world loves him–or so he says.
So that means it will cost us–more of our money so that Obama can look good.
Obama gets the Olympics and America goes further into debt.

When in history has the White House ever been involved in lobbying the IOC for selection of a U.S. city?
Hope the 10%+ of unemployed Americans (who are waiting for the economy to improve) and troops in Afghanistan (who are waiting to hear if their Commander-in-Chief is committed to them) feel great that mmm mmm mmm BHO puts his narcissism above their well-being.

“Obama gets the Olympics and America goes further into debt.”
This is a very good observation…One has to wonder (with this corrupt and incompetent administration) how many votes were bought last week at the UN.
Hey, Barry – The U.S. has hosted the Olympics more than any other country – How about “spreading the wealth around” and giving a “less fortunate” country an opportunity? (I’m pulling for Rio – Olympics have never been held in S. America).
More hypocrisy from the Hypocrite-in-Chief.

The traveling snakeoil salesman has lost his aura in America.
When will the rest of the world wake up?
I’m betting Obama would rather be anywhere rather than sitting in the WH dealing with Iran, unemployment, health care, and Afghanistan.
He’ll leave that to whoever is really running the country.
Posted by: millie | September 28, 2009, 2:49 pm 2:49 pm
Obama just couldn’t stand the thought of anyone else getting credit for bringing the Olympics to Chicago.
Not even his wife.
What a small insecure man.
Posted by: riley | September 28, 2009, 3:04 pm 3:04 pm
Just as I predicted-He doesn’t know what to do in Afghanistan( my God,he has talked to the commanding general ONCE) so change the subject. He doesn’t know how to get health care,so change the subject.Jim Zorn is more decisive and competent than this “executive”-oops,I’m sorry that was probably below the belt.

Who cares if the Olympics are in Chicago? This is the LAST thing anyone needs to be thinking of right now. Iran is committed to destroying Israel and anyone else who dares to stand in their way. Afghanistan is falling apart. The economy, despite what the administration wants you to think is not reviving. Health care is still up in the air. And he’s going to Copenhagen? Who is paying for the trip? This man is so wrapped up in himself he can’t see anything else. Truly scary.

When is he gonna find the time to go visit our troops? Does he even know we have troops? Does he care about them? No, I don’t think that he does. He care only about himself. He’s a disgrace and a national embarassment. Whoever voted for this idiot is an idiot.

With growing pressure for decisions on life-or-death issues in Afghanistan and Iran, this morning the White House announced that President Obama will soon travel to…Copenhagen.
He’s met with David Letterman more than he’s met with General McChrystal.

Obama’s charm offensive didn’t work so well with gov’t-run health care so he’s hoping it will work in Copenhagen.
Oprah is going along just to be sure…
Who would say no to the two biggest celebrities in the world?
She’s got her billions and he has ours.

Another opportunity for Obama to tell the world about his life story. He does this weekly.
No doubt he’ll also find a way to blame Bush, apologize for America and brag about how he has changed the world in nine months.
Posted by: jane | September 28, 2009, 4:32 pm 4:32 pm
Makes sense that this is already a done deal.
Obama wouldn’t take the chance to go to Copenhagen and lose the bid.
Losing in Afghanistan—that doesn’t seem to matter.

He has spoken to his top commander in Afghanistan once in 70 days and this clown of a reporter asks him about the Olympics….the downward spiral of the msm continues….

Riley, I could not agree with you more. The president is showing that he wants to be able to take credit for everything that happens. As you said, “Obama just couldn’t stand the thought of anyone else getting credit for bringing the Olympics to Chicago. Not even his wife. What a small insecure man.” Excellent observation! his ego knows no bounds.

Chicago has plenty of room for the athletes that might be coming to the big city. I hear the Grove Park Apartments have lots of vacancy.
Yes sir, nothing but the best for our visitors.

de Neis: “Do you think it’s appropriate for the President to be jetting to Copenhagen to lobby the IOC when a nuclear Iran is testing missiles, General McChrystal is awaiting an audience, the healthcare bill in foundering, cap and trade is on life support, etc.”
Gibbs: “Chicago is neat.”
OK, OK, I just made that up. Please take notes, Yunji. This should have been your first question.

I made one up too:
de Neis: “Do you think it’s appropriate for the President to be jetting to Copenhagen to lobby the IOC when people on the Right are attempting to whip up hysteria about these issues they never really cared about before?”
Skip [filling in for Robert Gibbs]: It’s entirely appropriate for the President to demonstrate his ability to handle many important issues at once by not letting those on the fringe disrupt enthusiastic interest in hosting the Olympics which represent probably the greatest embodiment of international cooperation there is.

- the difference between Obama meeting someone even once or twice is different than say Bush….. Obama can think, understand and reason as opposed to Bush & Republicans who are exceptionally good at whining and lying.. so delicious to see
if Obama still has troops fighting in Iraq in 8 years you will have a point to make..
until then, keep watching republicans crash and burn, crash and burn, crash and burn,

Support for the health care reform proposed by the President and Congressional Democrats has fallen to its lowest level yet . Senior citizens are less supportive of the plan than younger voters.

Public support for healthcare reform has dropped to its lowest point this year, Rasmussen finds. Just 41% of likely voters say they favor the reform proposed by President Obama and Democrats. 56% of respondents are opposed.

“Obama can think, understand and reason…”
He thought , understood and reasoned, and came up with his grand Afghanistan strategy last March. Now that he has failed, one would hope that he would undertake to think, understand and reason with someone other than David Letterman, the International Olympic Committee and five Sunday talk show hosts.
Good men are dying over there. They deserve better than this foppish dandiprat. But then he’s never led, and doesn’t know how to lead.

“if Obama still has troops fighting in Iraq in 8 years you will have a point to make.”
Why would he do that? George Bush won that war and agreed with the Iraqis to a timetable for removal of our troops. If Obama wants to have troops there in six years, he’ll have to win an election first, but the presence of troops ther will mean yet another failure on his part.
And if Obama still has detainees in Guantanamo come January 21, the left will have an even further failure on it’s hands.
Worse than Carter.

The Rasmussen (choice pollster of conservatives) daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows that 30% of the nation’s voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Thirty-nine percent (39%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -9.
Those numbers were exactly the same on 9/26/09, 8/10/09, and 7/25/09.
On the health care reform front, 18% of Rasmussen’s likely voters say passage of the legislation is Very Likely and 15% say it is Not at All Likely. One could then say that the Rasmussen ObamaCare Passage Index rating is currently at +3.

ATTENTION….
I want as much focus on this blog as possible when I publish Part 3 of the TerriK Investigation Report, subtitled:
STATE OF HAWAII LAW DEMANDS THAT VITAL RECORDS INFORMATION FOR PRESIDENT OBAMA BE RELEASED TO THE PUBLIC ALONG WITH ALL RECORDS PERTAINING TO DoH DIRECTOR FUKINO’S JULY 27, 2009 PRESS RELEASE.
Not only has Obama waived privacy interests, the state waived them as well. More important is the fact that state law governs that no privacy interest exception applies when the information requested is required to be released under the UIPA at 92F-12.
The only question is whether Hawaii will obey its own laws.
I will publish this report late tonight or early tomorrow morning.

Please ask President Obama to just release his long form birth certificate and school records, to remove any questions. He’s going to be open and transparent? Release the records, please.

Q.:
Will AG Eric Holder extradite the rapist of children, Roman Polanski, to LA to finally serve his sentence?? Or will Obama cave in to his Hollywood sugar daddies and let this scumbag continue to live free in European luxury as a hero and celebrity of the Left? Holder already dropped a case against the Black Panthers—after a judgment was awarded to the government. So his ideas on “justice” do not inspire confidence.
Even Salon (not exactly a hotbed of moralizing neo-cons!) reminds us today that Polanski gave a 13 year old girl alcohol and drugs, and raped her. Then he pled GUILTY at the trial and promptly fled the country. Got that, Hollywood: CONVICTED, not “accused!”
“Roman Polanski raped a child. Let’s just start right there, because that’s the detail that tends to get neglected when we start discussing whether it was fair for the bail-jumping director to be arrested at age 76, after 32 years in “exile” (which in this case means owning multiple homes in Europe, continuing to work as a director, marrying and fathering two children, even winning an Oscar, but never — poor baby — being able to return to the U.S.). Let’s keep in mind that Roman Polanski gave a 13-year-old girl a Quaalude and champagne, then raped her, before we start discussing whether the victim looked older than her 13 years, or that she now says she’d rather not see him prosecuted because she can’t stand the media attention.”

This isn’t even readable fiction.
The disrespect for the office of President, cheerleaded by the conservative talkshow hosts, continues to marginalize conservatives and the GOP. The aggressive low blows and rudeness continues to weaken their plan.

More likely, Obama and Holder will construct a pardon for Polanski to placate the Poles and the French.

I wish this whole Polanski story were fiction. Except that all the Liberal Hollywood and diplomat elites are lining up to defend the celebrated rapist. Even Whoopi Goldberg announced that he did not commit real rape–and that he is really the victim here. Plan on Obama instructing Holder to deny extradition. Obama will not cut off the Hollywood campaign gravy train. If Obama could pardon him, he would. However, the conviction was not on federal charges, so I do not believe he can.
It is Liberal abuses of power and naked arrogance which weaken our government.

America’s elderly are finally realizing that Obama’s healthcare changes are largely financed by cuts in Medicare and are rallying against his proposals in increasing numbers.
The latest poll by Scott Rasmussen not only shows national opposition to Obamacare rising — now it is 41-56 against — but also shows the elderly moving against it even more strongly, by 33-59, or almost 2:1.

Although some of the comments here might make it seem otherwise, Rasmussen (choice pollster of conservatives) doesn’t do a daily Health Care Reform poll. Therefore, numbers are unchanged since yesterday.
Rasmussen’s likely voters say passage of the legislation is Very Likely and 15% say it is Not at All Likely. This would mean the Passage Index rating is currently at +3.
