DNC Attacks Tim Pawlenty’s 2012 Team

ABC News’ Teddy Davis reports: The Democratic National Committee’s (D.N.C.) laser-like focus on potential Republican presidential candidate Tim Pawlenty continues. The latest salvo is a web video which highlights connections between the Minnesota governor’s newly formed political team and the former McCain, Palin, and Bush operations. Watch the video HERE. During a recent speech to the Values Voters Summit, Pawlenty wore the DNC’s attention as a badge of honor and used it to make the case that he is a 2012 player even though he begins the race with lower name-identification than Republicans who have previously run for president or vice president. The formation of Pawlenty’s political team was first reported by Politico’s Jonathan Martin, a regular on ABC’s “Top Line.” The Washington Post’s Chris Cillizza has a great biographical breakdown of “Tpaw’s” inner circle. Read their stories HERE and HERE.

Pawlenty looks good so far, which is why the DNC attack machine has revved its motors. First (gasp) a Bush connection. Next will be ridicule and how “dumb” Pawlenty is. They’re so predictable.

My fine extremist right wingers: It is wonderful to see that you have not lost you venom with your distaste all things Obama and also wonderful to see that your ugly screams of distortion, miss-information and lies end up being your own worst enemy. You are turning most of America away from your party in droves by making yourselves less trustworthy with every post you make here and elsewhere. Also, do understand one other major point, whatever you say or do here on these pages will have absolutely NO AFFECT on how these situations are going to be handled nor any affect on the final outcome. So, my fine extremist right-wingers, keep on screaming and alienating your fellow Americans with your messed up version of life and reality. I am actually NOT happy about the Republican parties demise and implosion due to it’s extremists that has taken over a once proud party. We need a proper balance between our two parties. There has to be proper trust and respect between liberals and conservatives. America is MUCH better when that is the case. Unfortunately, this is hardly possible with the present Republican party. And so, like your inability to have any affect on the present doings of our present elected government officials I will also have no affect on your extremist attitudes and the self-destruction and implosion of your party. I hope that your party makes a comeback some day but I do not foresee that for probably 30-40 years if ever. It will most likely come back under a different name when and if it does.

It is the Democrats which are the extremist and it is truly ignorant of you if you can see this. Democrats have always try to make the federal government the gatekeeper. Most people believe that government being directly involved in their lives is intrusive to say the least.. Isn’t that what goes on in Communist nations? And I don’t know when a Rep. will be the next pres. but I do know that Congress will change next election.

Bailedout2: Thanks! You have exhibited, perfectly what my post was talking about. Please keep your posts coming that shows America how extreme that Republicans have become. Perfect!

A better way to sway the voters would be to station punks at the polling stations and intimidate the voters……….Oh wait that already happened

The leader of the Swift Boating PAC, the criminal responsible for the illegal and immoral teletphone barages in New Hampshire….yep, Gov. Pawlenty is traveling down the same GOP road that Americans rejected in 2008. He says he will be a candidate of change, yet, it looks like he’ll just offer more of the same…slander, hatred, lies…. Maybe he should choose Palin as his running mate.

Vote out EVERY Incumbent, they no longer represent you no matter what party you belong to. Time to open up a new can of Politicans!

The republicans will win in 2012 and they will show true change. Throwing all of this last admin (if that’s what you call them)down the drain, and giving the real American people what they want, and it won’t be entitlement. We believe is working for what we have, it’s a great concept, the dems should try it some time, they may even like it!

Pawlenty is good, he’s the only thing that saved Minnesotans from taxes that would have bankrupted them and still kept the budget balanced. Very few understand that you have to live within your means. Pawlenty understands that. Responsible spending is what this country needs so badly. Gonna miss him as our Governor.

algwriter makes a good point. The dirty tricks of this one guy (swift boats, jamming phone lines, etc) should make Republicans fearful for their souls. And the woman Pawlenty hired is the one that Bush fired after her incompetent testimony on the Gonzales firing of all those attorneys. She sounded like a moron then, and I doubt she’s learned much since.

A Pawlenty/Romney ticket will make for a very interesting proposition. Successful governors from reliably liberal states.

How will Pawlenty be able to stand next to Palin at a GOP Primary debate? If he agrees with her positions, he can kiss the general election goodbye. If he calls her out for the wingnut she is, the GOP base will crucify him. His only chance is to run as a third-party candidate and hope to distance himself from the abomination that the Republican Party has become.

Why are the Liberals still so Afraid of Sarah Palin? Maybe they know if she runs they have no chance, even with the Biased News Media.

The DNC is clueless. Independents decide elections in this country, and Independents want fiscal sanity. You CANNOT push a trillion dollar health care plan, and claim it won’t add to the deficit – average Americans know BS when they smell it. We can’t keep spending ourselves into bankruptcy.
It doesn’t matter who the Republicans run in 2012. Americans will turn the Democrats out in 2010 and 2012 – not because they like Republicans, but because Republicans are the only alternative.
The next 2 elections will not be about voting people in. They will be about voting the Democrats out.

I already have the slogan for pawlenty’s campaign. “vote for Tim Pawlenty and watch America fall down like his bridges”.
