Frist Flip-Flop on Baucus Bill?
EmailOn Friday, I noted that former Senate GOP Leader Bill Frist seemed to endorse the Baucus Bill in an interview with Karen Tumulty.
Now he tells my colleague Aaron Katersky something different:
“There are five bills on the floor now — none of them are perfect. People try to put words in my mouth saying ‘You support the Baucus bill.’ I don’t support the Baucus bill as written today,” Frist said.

No doubt Frist’s buddies talked him out of going through with what his principles mandate – but which would have surely put him on a collision course with the monster that is Glenn Beck.

Who really cares if he supports the bill or not. The GOP is useless as is the dem Dogs who need to be voted out of office for failure to fulfill the obligations of their office. They were elected to work in the best interests of the citizens of this country and they are only working to ensure a larger bottom line for the insurance companies. The insurance companies keep saying that they deserve a 3% profit every year-minimum- but in order to keep it down to that they have to keep increasing the expenses such as executive compensation packages.
Some of these executives MUST be performing illegal activity and they should be prosecuted. The laws of anti-trust must be applied fairly to this industry as it would to all others. Exemptions based upon connections to congress????

WHy do we need the agravation of Katrina and her holy than thou attitude and her attacking Mathew Dowd personally?. She lives in wa wa land and George you are better off without her on that show.

George who cares if Bill First is for the Baucus Health Bill I am against the bill 100%. There will be not much of any health care when Baucus and his Democrate assoc. get threw with the health bill we have now. what ever the Rep have put in for good admentments the Dem. vote it down. Now you die hard Dem. want health care so much but you do not want tp pay your fare share. you need to wake up before there is know helath care for ay one. Now is done right there should be health reform.

There is no free lunch and no free health care.The American worker will be stuck with another entitlement to pay for.

Hurry up and pass this democratic bill, so we all can pay 50% in taxes for nothing, if you still have a job, and if not then its all free. The insurance companies are loving it, everyone HAS to BUY insurance.
