Can Mitt Romney Win Conservatives Back?
Possible Contraception Compromise in D.C.
I just read an amazing article in the New York Times that reprinted the resignation letter of a highly regarded State Dept officer in Afghanistan. He laid out, very clearly, why that war is unwinable: because our presence is fueling the insurgency among the tribes, to the point we are not really fighting the Taliban, but local organizations who view us as occupiers. How could you miss this article? This guy has the ear of the Obama administration. I think its very important.

OK. Now I see you have linked to the story about Mr. Hoh, under the AP, not the New York times. My apologies. I just think this is incredibly important, and it flies in the face of the CW, as voiced on this Sunday’s political shows, that Obama will increase the troop levels to 40,000. if President Obama is listening tovoices like this Hoh guy, then, no, troops will not be increased.
