ABC News' Karen Travers reports:The official guest list for tonight’s White House state dinner is still a secret, but celebrities and notable visitors are already being spotted at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. This morning President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama welcomed Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and his wife, Gursharan Kaur to the White House with a scaled down arrival ceremony, moved inside due to bad weather.Attending the ceremony in the East Room were CNN’s Sanjay Gupta, actress Alfre Woodard, actor Blair Underwood and Rep. Joseph  Crowley (D-NY) and Sen. Jack Reed (D-RI). Singer Jennifer Hudson, a Chicago native and winner of both an Oscar and Grammy Award, is scheduled to perform at tonight’s festivities.

Let’s see, 10-11-15% unemployment for ordinary people, who are losing their homes, and all they have worked for for years, while Obama plays royalty, and spends tens of thousands on a single dinner.
Makes perfect sense to me.

Sure, the President of the United States should be ignoring state leaders from other countries, not observing proper dignity or protocol – perhaps he should be serving them Kraft Dinner.

Is Chavez going to show up?
Rev. Wright?
What about Van Jones?
We need to make sure this is a properly diverse group.
Too bad Che can’t make it, he’d be the life of the party…

Hey catman, how many cows, chickens, pigs, or turkeys have been sacrificed over your lifetime to put on your dinner plate or make your shoes/belts/etc? Unless you’ve been a vegan since the day you were born then you’re just being a hypocrite. And by the way, pita is a sandwich while PETA is the animal rights group.

State Dinners honor heads of States, Prime Minister Singh is the head of India and should be honored, Presidents throughout the years have done this. Some of the comments are just plain stupid.

All hype and no substance this is true for both the Singh Administration and Obama administration

I don’t understand why Obama is spending all of this money entertaining so many people at all of his parties while people who have no jobs starve in this country. Give the people starving some food with the stimulus money.America should not have people hungry on the holidays or any other time when our president uses our money to feed his guests. Something is not right with this picture. I want to see him actually care.

So much for change. Nothing has changed. This one is the same as the last one, only worse.
