It’d be a rush of fresh air if ABC News would take as much of an interest in our the past and upbringing of our present president than focusing on an interview of a private citizen.

Sarah Palin answered a question about Levi. She didn’t “go off”, as Matt above accuses… she simply answered a pretty obvious question.
She was very nice about it, too. Much nicer than the people in this thread are being, and much,much nicer than Levi has been. Most parents treat people like Levi a lot worse than Sarah has.
I know that abc is a pretty liberal outlet for Obama, having given him all that free airtime for the health care thing, and I guess the rest of their coverage is democrat as well. So it’s no surprise that most of the readers here do not agree with Sarah Palin’s political views. But that’s hardly any reason to be ugly to her because her relatives are normal, imperfect people. Obama’s relatives are even worse, but it would be horrible to paint Obama for that.
Sarah’s daughter got pregnant, and they handled the situation with love and forgiveness. People think that means Sarah is a hypocrite, or dirty. But I disagree. I do not agree with Sarah’s social conservatism, but I probably will vote for her if I get the chance, because I want our discourse to be more like Sarah’s and less like those attacking her.

I have always been baffled by the Left’s and the MSM’s wild-eyed, vicious, irrational hatred of Sarah Palin. What on Earth did she ever do to warrant this?
Now that she is merely a private citizen, the MSM’s continuing dishonest and vicious attacks have become even more confusing and distasteful to me.
Since I am not a Liberal, I guess I will never understand the mindless irrationality and utter intolerance that comes with being a Liberal.

Sounds like he is jealous Palin is getting more attention than he is. Levi must be having trouble getting females to sleep with him now. Palin was not found guilty in the troopergate scandal. Some Obama supporters released an internal document saying she can’t be prosecuted. It was not a ruling, but Palin was investigated more harshly than any other governor in this nation’s history.
Democrats brought 15 ethics probes and hundreds of FOIAs, they broke into her private Yahoo account, they demolished her children…
And after all that, they never actually found any wrongdoing. nothing like Rezko, for example. Palin’s clean. Maybe you disagree with her, but she’s obviously clean. It’s so unusual for these probes to go on with out any impropriety found, but Palin actually managed just that.
It’s sad that you equate Republicans with intolerance with no sense of irony. If the GOP were really only about white males, then the GOP chair and presidential nominee frontrunners would be white males. What you really mean is that no one can disagree with Obama without being racist. You’re wrong… some people, like me, took Obama at his word and thought he would cut the deficit, close Gitmo, and win the war in Afghanistan quickly and seriously. We thought he would be open and transparent, never signing bills without ample reading time, and never dealing with lobbyists like Andy Stern.
I believed outlets like ABC news, so I never really heard about Rev Wright, Rezko, or Ayers. I didn’t realize how Obama won his earlier seats or how often he skipped out on his job while taking the paycheck. I didn’t know that he flipped Hillary off. I made the mistake of relying on bad sources, and now my deficit cutter has tripled the deficit, inflation is going to destroy my retirement, and I have no idea how I will afford health care, or if I will face prison penalties if I cannot.
I just want someone who can take the heat, and seems to be genuine and honest. I see all this hate directed at Palin, but none of the charges ever actually pan out. So I know there’s at least one honest politician. If there was anything of merit to show Palin’s a crook, we wouldn’t be seeing these dumb attacks.

I’m not a fan of Sarah Palin, BUT I think she handled the question remarkably well. He IS, like it or not, the father of her grandchild and therefore will be “in the family” forever. She doesn’t want to badmouth him — honorable of her, I think. But she also doesn’t approve of certain things he’s been saying and doing and I think she handled that aspect too. As I said, not a fan — didn’t vote R — but give her credit at least for handling this with a mature attitude, common decency and consideration for her grandchild and her daughter!!!

Most people can’t win in these arguments. Even Bush mostly got a pass for a while purely because of a terrorist attack.

She attacks health care reform, calling it pulling the plug on grandma. According to a study published by the Harvard Medical school, 44,000 people die each year because of inadequate health care – including veterans and children. Insurance companies already employ death panels to decide whose illness they will cover. Those who are too sick are left to die. Thousands of people are dying because of Palin’s ignorant garbage – and does any one hold Palin responsible.
Palin also believes global warming is a hoax or at least not caused by human activity. Perhaps she should read the latest book by Al Gore – Oh I forget – Palin doesn’t read anything – If people believe Sarah Palin, we face catastrophe’s of unspeakable proportions. Already 250,000 children a year are dying because of the effects of global warming.
She attacks Obama for “dithering” in Afghanistan. What is her solution, bomb the entire country? How will this solve the problem? It will just get a lot of people killed and make enemies far faster than we can kill them.
So who is the most pornographic? A 19 year old whose porn spread you don’t have to buy and actually kills or injures no one – or Sarah Palin, whose ignorance will get a lot of people, including women and children, killed.

Frank you are right in that no president has ever divorced while in office but you are forgetting that Ronald Reagan was married twice. Nancy Reagan was his second wife. His first wife was actress Jane Wyman. I think they divorced in the early 1950′s. He had two children with his first wife, a daughter Maureen and an adopted son.

He took her on one weekend date last spring to New York that cost over $70,000. The taxpayers have paid for all of it! Then there is also his failed trip to Europe a couple of months ago to try to secure the summer olympics for Chicago. The taxpayers paid for that, too, and that trip was nonsense! When you add it all up Obama has already cost the taxpayer much more than Bush did in all of the eight years that he was in office! And about the alcoholic skanky daughters, if you’d really do some checking into their backgrounds you would find plenty of democrat politicians with skanky sons and daughters too! And another thing, just because the Bush daughters did some wild things when they were in college doesn’t necessarily mean they are skanks! I just imagine you’d find that Chelsea Clinton did some wild things when she was in college too if you could check her record! The only difference is the media didn’t hear about it!
