DNC Panel Recommends Stripping Superdelegates of Free Agent Status
ABC News’ Teddy Davis reports: A DNC panel tasked with revamping the Democratic Party’s presidential nominating process is recommending that superdelegates be stripped of their free agent status in presidential nominating votes. The Democratic Change Commission, as it is formally known, is recommending that superdelegates be required to vote in line with the electoral performance of the state they represent. The Democratic Party’s superdelegates include DNC members, House members, senators, and former party leaders. The move to eliminate free-agent superdelegates is an effort to avoid a repeat of 2008 when Barack Obama’s supporters worried that Hillary Clinton might be able to persuade enough superdelegates to break with their home states that she could win the Democratic presidential nod. In the end, of course, Clinton was unsuccessful. Nevertheless, the Obama forces are hoping to change party rules to appear more small-”d” democratic. Opponents of the move are outnumbered at the DNC. They worry, however, that party leaders will lose the ability under extraordinary circumstances to block the nomination of a candidate who has developed considerable baggage between the end of the primaries and the start of the party convention. The panel’s recommendation will now go before the DNC’s Rules and Bylaws Committee. Since Obama will be running for re-election in 2012, the full impact of this potential change will not be felt until 2016.

Romney Takes Aim at Conservatives
As it turned out, which you have failed to mention, Obama bribed so many superdelegates that he “won”. Last year’s Democratic primary was an abysmal sham, so far removed from anything relating to democracy that it’s disgusting. And it was that way because of Obama’s campaign.
They need to get rid of caucuses and require all states to hold primaries. But then Obama couldn’t “win”.

Super Delegates as well as the Electoral College have lost their places in current society because in part of the information super highway. With some updating of our current voting system which would eliminate voting fraud and nomination ploy tactics the wishes of the people would be better represented and any sort of political party manipulation found to be criminal.
We have allowed the 3 branches of our Federal Government to become a combined dictatorship which refuses to listen. It seems that the power has corrupted our democratic republic to the point where nothing short of a revolution will allow we the people to take back the Constitution and our rights within it. Every day on this web site there are stories about one of the 3 branches of our government either limiting, regulating , ignoring or giving away some right , or privilege afforded to the citizens of this Country by the Constitution and it Bill of Rights. Further eroding each citizens liberties in order to gain more power over we the people through legislation, decision or proclamation.
There is no easy fix at this point in time as it has become so obvious that we are not being represented that flies in our faces daily. It is a sad period of time in our 234 year history. We need a change alright and the current 3 branches of our Government are not willing to do what is necessary to make the ones to keep we the people in charge.

DNC is the party’s union. All delegates are to be in lock-step to the party line that the union chief dictates. Go Big-Brother! The Electoral college should stay so that the majority numbers of a metropolitan demographic does not dictate to to a minority. States are stripping representation when they rule that the majority vote takes all Electoral College votes. Thank goodness the Senate limits each State to two Senators. It helps balance out representation for the diversity of our nation.
