Senator Corker’s Daughter Carjacked

Bob Corker's, R-Tenn., 22-year old daughter, Julia, is sore but not seriously injured after having been forced from her SUV on Wednesday evening between 9:00 — 9:30 pm ET near the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. "She was driving home last night. She was at an intersection. She had come to a stop very near the apartment where she and Sen. Corker live. Someone tapped on her window, she rolled it down, he reached in, and pulled her from the car and threw her to the pavement and drove away," Corker chief of staff Todd Womack told ABC News in a telephone interview. Julia Corker was quickly in touch by phone with her father who was a block and a half away wrapping up an event at a restaurant. Because the incident involved a relative of a member of Congress, an assortment of law enforcement agencies quickly got involved. "We're very grateful for the fast response from the Capitol Police, the FBI, the DC Metro police, and the Seat Pleasant Police Department in Maryland," said Womack. By relying on the vehicle's OnStar tracking system, police in Seat Pleasant, Md., were able to apprehend two suspects – a driver and a passenger – parked in front of the Addison Plaza's Taco Bell located at 6250 Central Avenue, Seat Pleasant, Md. After the SUV was recovered, Julia Corker and her father went to Seat Pleasant, Md., where she made an identification. The suspects were subsequently taken to the Upper Marlboro Detention Center, according to Sgt. LeRoy Patterson of the Seat Pleasant, Md., police department. Since the incident occurred in Washington, D.C., the case is now being handled by DC Metro police. The Seat Pleasant, Md., police department is not releasing the names of the suspects. Anyone who’s from the DC/MD side of the Potomac, knows it’s the carjack capitol of the US. She’s probably from out of town & is therefore nieve.. So visitors to DC be warned.
when you pull up to a light made sure you can see the rear tires of the car in front of you so you have enough space to pull out quickly if you need to. The rest of what she did wrong is obvious… Be aware of your surroundings & don’t even let someone approach (always check your mirrors etc.) to tap on your window.. you drive off (carefully) even if the light is red. They always get you at the lights.
I wonder when the Prince Georges county govt. is going to fix this problem which has been going on for decades now… And now they’re very short of money as more people are gonna get hurt. Didn’t have even have to read the rest of the article to know the auto would be found in PG county in a place like seat pleasant or forestville. It’s been allowed to go on for so long, it’s become a part of the culture among troubled youth there.. It’s like a county pasttime. To be cool, you carjack an auto. This is a disgrace right next to the nations capitol.

A reminder: When driving, keep your doors locked and don’t lower the car windows all the way. When you park your car, lock all the doors and look in the back seat before you get in.

Hope this isn’t a hoax of some kind to boost daddy’s election capabilities as a future candidate for the presidency. While mayor in a TN city, Corker was considered somewhat shady even by some of the even shadier cops of the city.

Same thing happened to my niece. The thug reached in and she powered up the window catching the thugs arm. He tried to grab her and she drove off with him running along side the car. As she gathered speed the thug couldn’t keep running and she dragged him to the police station. The whole time she was talking to OnStar who directed her to the police. The thug broke her side view mirror holding on. He was armed and a wanted felon. The police couldn’t believe how cool she was afterward. Thug now was a 3 timer and going away for life.
